Dylan is scheduled to enter prison as discussed in just two days. It's funny to think that the others are too scared to go to jail, but my boyfriend is still scheduled to enter and his release is also scheduled. All this is to promote the rank of drug protector. The rank of the protector will get promoted, and the connections of the dealers will be higher.
I want to make fun of the legal system. It is obvious that those in positions of power are playing tricks on ordinary people. There is no push to win at them all because you never know who really cares. I don't know all of them, but based on my experiences and what Dylan and I have met.
I'm here at Mama's shop to cool off while looking at the plaza. The number of people still hanging out, even at night. There are those who play, there are those who talk, and there are lovers who flirt.
"Mia, do you want to add more to your drink?" Marla asked me.
"No, I'm going home too." She just nodded in response and then handled a customer. So I went out of the shop as well.
I was carrying the bubble tea and was walking home when I met Teresa, Jr.'s aunt. When he saw me, she quickly approached me and greeted me. She was still gasping as she stood in front of me.
"Mia," she opened up to me while catching her breath.
"Yes?" I wondered.
"Can you go to Jr.?" I frowned because of what she said.
"Why?"
"He has a fever and doesn't want to eat, and then he's still delusional and calling your name."
“Why don't you just take him to the hospital? You can call an ambulance if he has a really high fever. "
What can I do to help him? I am not a nurse to take care of him. I also know nothing about caring for the sick.
To my surprise, she suddenly took my hand.
"Mia, he doesn't want to send me to the hospital. Can you just convince him."
I just sighed. If it wasn't for the old woman I am talking to, I would have left her earlier.
I just sighed as I walked with Teresa. I wonder why Jr. calls my name, as much as it can be mentioned. I want to be thrilled, but there is a part of my heart that doesn't agree.
Teresa took me to Jr.'s room. We went in together, and there I saw Jr. lying and shaking while wrapped in a blanket.
"Jr., Mia is here," said Teresa, but Jr. did not answer. I could only hear the growl of his coldness. Teresa looked at me, so I approached her.
"J," I called him "J." He looked up and smiled at me, even with difficulty.
"I'll call an ambulance," I added, then grabbed the cell phone, but he suddenly grabbed my hand.
"N-no." He stammered in response. I put the cell phone back in my pocket and sat down next to him.
"Teresa, can you get me some cold water and a white towel?"
"Okay, okay." Teresa immediately followed and left the room.
I touched Jr.'s forehead, and he was so hot that I searched for a thermometer, but I couldn't see anything. When Teresa came back, I asked her for a thin blanket.
I wiped Jr.'s hand with cold water as well as his neck and chest. He even raises his hand when a towel touches him. As well as his forehead, I put on a cold towel to absorb the heat in his body. I also replaced the blanket he was using with a thin one to evaporate the heat from his body.
"Did he take any medicine?" I asked Teresa.
"Yes, a while ago." I just nodded and sat on the bed when I finished wiping Jr.
"Do you have a thermometer?" I ask.
"Yes, there is, just a moment, and I'll take it."
Just a moment, and she came back too. I took Jr.'s body temperature, and when I saw that it was still quite high at 39, I didn't leave.
"All right, I'll be here first and I'll just wait for his fever to go down before I go home," I said, then looked at Jr., who was sleeping soundly.
"Thank you, Mia." I just smiled at the old woman, who immediately said goodbye and left the room.
I took the cell phone out of my pocket to text Dylan, but it turned out to be low battery. I looked for a charger here in Jr.'s room, but I couldn't find one. I would have noticed one, but it is not the same as the one I use.
