Chapter It's all my fault

"You know I have a job! You didn't even make time for your son!" I got up from my seat and pointed at his chest. I couldn't stop screaming. All the veins in my body were alive. He didn't budge from what I was doing to him. "YOU ALWAYS CHOOSE YOUR WORK! WORK THERE! WORK HERE— ”

“Why? Are you any different from me? You did the same, didn't you? If you didn't put work first, I guess somehow you hooked up with his performance?”

His voice was not loud, but the emphasis was as if he was blaming me. I laughed at his sarcasm and shook my head, unable to believe what he was saying.

"So, you blame me for everything?" I could no longer paint my face because all expression was gone.

"That's not what I meant."

"But that's what you're saying!"

"I am tired-"

“So do I!” I didn’t beat up on everything he said. He was supposed to pass me, but I pushed him back. “What? Will you run away from our conversation?”

“Please! Please, Zoe! I plead with you. I'm tired now, and I don't want a fight.” He closed his eyes tightly and removed my hand, holding his chest. He passed me while I couldn't believe that he had left me.

The next day I woke up to Randall's touch. I did not sleep in our room but the living room. When I looked around, I saw that his key was no longer hanging on the wall, so I was sure he had left. He didn't even wake me up; he wanted us to be just like this. If he wanted a situation like this, I would give it to him.

"Randall, do you want to go to mommy's work?" I smiled at him as he played. He just nodded at me, not looking at me. I immediately carried him to the bedroom to take a shower. When I was finished, I put five pieces of his pair of clothes in his bag. We won't go home here first. After all, Adams doesn’t know where my next photoshoot is; I’m sure he won’t find us.

“No wonder your son is handsome! You are so beautiful!” My make-up artist happily compliments me. I just smiled at her as Randall hugged me. I was combing my son's hair as the woman continued to ask questions. “I haven't seen your husband yet. Maybe your husband is too handsome? Because your child's face looks perfect.”

I didn't answer her and just looked in the mirror. I don’t know how to leave Randall later when we need to go on stage.

"Rhea, can I leave Randall with you later while I'm on stage?" Although I was embarrassed, I dared to ask her. I also looked around where Randall and I could later lie down. It looks like we have somewhere to sleep because they prepared a folding bed for me.

"Of course, ma'am!" As she ironed my hair, she was still laughing.

I grabbed my bag and pulled out some money. I handed her the paper money while she was behind me. "Here."

I saw her eyes widen as she looked at me in the mirror. I can see that she can't believe what I'm offering her. Well, I'm not giving away money; I want to give it to her because it's been too long since she's been working as my makeup artist.

It wasn't too long before I had to leave Randall with her. Randall didn't complain because Rhea definitely wouldn't let her down. As I walked onto the stage, I couldn’t help but think about my fight with Adams. I don’t know how long we will be like this.

Two days have passed, but Adams still hasn’t seen us. I didn't expect him to find us right away, but it's probably not that difficult to track us down because we're not hiding.

"Mommy, when will we see daddy?" Randall asks as his eye gives way. I looked at him as he lay on my lap. I kissed his forehead, so I slowly put him to sleep.

“Why? Do you want to see daddy?”

He just nodded until he was entirely swallowed by drowsiness. I, on the other hand, just leaned over and felt like I had a headache. I didn't know what to do so that he wouldn't always ask where his daddy was. I want Adams to find us, but it seems like he doesn't have any plans. Today we don't have a shoot, but I don't want to go home, so we will still stay here.

As drowsiness slowly pulled me away, I jumped at the sudden scream from outside. I looked at Randall to see if he was awake, but he was still sound asleep. I closed my eyes again, but it was as if my heart was taken away when someone suddenly lifted Randall. When I opened my eyes, I saw his father staring darkly at me while taking my bag. He also took my hand, so I stood up.

"What are you doing?! Let go of me!" I removed his hand from my wrist, but he didn't let go. Other spectators are already looking at us. Even Rhea was already staring at me with her mouth open and couldn’t believe there was a man like Adonis in front of her. She blinked a few times before she disappeared from my sight.

In an instant, I was in his car. He didn’t speak, and he took me to the front seat. He handed Randall to me and started the car. I, on the other hand, could not talk because I did not know what to say. For a few days, I thought that he would never come back to us, but I think I was just angry. I shouldn’t run away and must think we’re married, and we should be talking about the matter when we’re both cold-headed.

"I'm sorry." He broke the silence. I did not move and just looked outside.

“It's all my fault.” He added.
