Chapter Can you tell me why they aren't coming with us?

I stopped what we were doing but he still continued to kiss my neck. I looked at the door because the knocking suddenly stopped, that's why he continued what he was doing. He accelerated his finger thrust into my hole but…

"Adams?"

When Lucas called Adams' name, I kicked him in the lower leg. Adams had no choice but to descend on the floor and forcefully remove the finger that had been lodged in my hole. I instantly put on my bikini top and made some minor adjustments to my wardrobe. I took a few deep breaths and straightened myself before opening the door. The first thing that sprang to my eyes was Aria's expression. I could see how anxious her eyes were and when she saw me, tears were already forming in her eyes. I looked at Lucas who also couldn’t paint the eye and looked like he wanted to say something to my husband and me.

"Can you tell me what happened?" I didn't ask Aria but Lucas. He swallowed a few times before turning to face me eventually. "Has anything bad happened?" I continued my questioning without them speaking to us.

"Cindy is m-missing," Aria couldn't even make a coherent sentence, but she pushed herself to speak anyway. While she was beginning to weep, Lucas took her by the shoulders and caressed her to calm her down with his hands. I simply stood there staring at them, Aria's hand covering her face. Her tears didn't stop pouring, and I couldn't do anything except embrace her.

"Where did you leave her?" Adams inquired of Lucas, who was deep in thought at the time. I can’t stop listening to their conversation. We had just finished eating together, and now she is nowhere to be found. The fact that Cindy abruptly vanished without her parents' awareness was surprising since Lucas had been holding her the whole time before we left the restaurant.

"I really don't know. I was completely unaware that she was no longer in my grasp." Aria was still crying, and Lucas's voice was tinged with guilt as he said. I'm at a loss on what to say to them since Randall has never been gone before. I'm not sure what they're going through, but as a mother, I'm well familiar with the fear that something is happening with my kid. "Help us find her."

“Please Zoe. Help us find my baby. I don't know what to do if something bad happens to my child. ” She cried even harder and I didn't know how to calm her down.

“Okay. "Sssh....." That's all I had to say. I squirmed free of her grasp and went in search of a phone that I could use as a flashlight. Randall, who was sound sleeping at the time, was the first person I glanced at before I eventually left the room. I could see the three of them getting ready to depart, and just waiting for me.

We were walking together when I observed that Adonis and Lucas were moving in a separate way. I stood on the side of the path. I turned back at Aria, who was still tugging at me, despite the fact that I was already staring at the two guys who were leaving us behind. They were completely unaware that I was watching them from behind.

"Can you tell me why they aren't coming with us?" I was hesitant to approach her with the question. She also had a look at what I had been gazing at earlier, and then pushed me back to the sidewalk so that I could do nothing but walk again.

Wouldn't it be better if we looked more in other areas to make our search easier?" She didn't waste any time in drawing me over, so I returned my attention to the two men. However, when I turned my head I could no longer see them. "Can you tell me why we lost our sight to them?"

"It wouldn't be so bad if Lucas were with you and my husband were with me, would it? Being two women, it is possible that something bad may happen to us, particularly at night." I stopped walking but the one who was walking with me did nothing but continue and I could not do anything but follow.

As we went away from the cottage, the surroundings became darker. I'm also perplexed as to why Aria doesn't call Cindy's name to see if she's simply hiding somewhere. Perhaps they scolded the kid, causing her to leave. Because the path was growing darker and darker, I switched on my phone's flashlight to illuminate the way. When I pointed the flashlight towards the route, Aria vanished in front of me without a trace.

"Aria?" I called her but I heard no answer but only the roar of the waves. “Aria? What you're doing isn't fun; where have you gone?" My heart is racing because it is possible that it may be like what I see on television, where they would slaughter people and devour their flesh. "ARIA!" My final scream was audible, but I received no response.

When there were a lot of lights on, I merely covered my lips with my palms.
