Sophie was praised and known for being the keeper and tour guide of the children entering the palace, and no one expected the noble woman to do something like that for low-ranking children like them.
Because of this, Sophie received phrases that many people listened to, like she's beautiful, helpful, humble, and above all, no one can match her fairness in everything.
Some people didn't really know Sophie because she would often appear muddy in front of them and unrecognizable to them, so when Axel introduced her at the ball, she was called, "the majestic woman."
They can't believe that this person lives in their town. She's like a hidden gem that only the Lycan king found, and it wasn't surprising. Axel was known for being a womanizer, but that was behind his cape as a king, and it is not unclear that he will see a woman like the next Luna today.
The news spread the reason for Jake to find her again as the greed inside of him rose up. He couldn't stop the people he was teaching at the camp. A camp for omegas to train themselves because there was an apocolypse that happened where lower ranks were haunted and every first born was killed, so their head decided to train them while they were young, and Sophie was the first one to go back, and as of now, Jake was still amazed at how she survived those years by defending herself.
And until now, he is still clueless about what happened, but he knows that he will never know the truth because he was blocked by her cold husband.
Jake's hand was about to be crushed, but his face just smiled and said, "Oh, is it true? I didn't know you were lady like.. "
"Because you were the one who flirted with me then." Jake added
Axel released his hand and just looked at him closely. Sophie, who was stuck in between, didn't know what to do and just stared at the two men who had clashing gazes that she couldn't stop.
Axel's hand on Sophie's waist loosened, and he said coldly, "Please take care of your guest first."
Without another word that followed, Axel turned around, and even Flora was concerned. She was holding the tray and approached Sophie and said, "I think Master Axel thought this scenario was the sole reason why you were avoiding him."
Jake was talking in the background, saying that if that was true, Sophie didn't speak and looked at Axel with a worried tone and whispered, "He looked sad."
Sophie continued to stroll the garden and pick some flowers. Even after Jake left, she was quiet, but she told him that was true and invited him on her coronation day, but Jake still didn't believe it and just went out of the gate with a heavy heart.
Axel was looking from afar at the man with Sophie after he left and saw that the man was really a pushover and that Sophie wasn't even paying attention to him, but every grin and smile Sophie makes in front of that man burns Axel's heart like it was stabbed by a metal knife.
Hugo appeared beside him and said, "Do you want me to throw him away?"
Axel shook his head lightly and took a deep breath, knowing that he acted like a jerk, especially when he was out of place. Axel was heartbroken, not knowing why he felt these extreme emotions.
Axel felt a presence, and he said, "Look after her."
And with a step, Axel returned to where his house was just to see Rebecca, who was in her red night gown with rose petal flowers on her bed, and said, "I know you can't stand me."
Axel froze. She kissed him passionately, but Axel was just expressionless and confused about what was happening. He just couldn't push her away, but as he decided to close his eyes, the expression on Sophie's face that night flashed in his mind, pushing Rebecca away and making her body fly, hitting the wall hard.
Rebecca was shocked as she only stopped the force and made a little impact, but it almost broke her bones. Axel just looked at her, and in a split second, he was gone from her vision.
Rebecca was furious and said outloud, "You fucker!"
Axel rushed to go to the palace just to find Sophie in the garden picking flowers. Flora saw him, and Axel went on in to hug Sophie from behind, resting his face on her shoulder. All of the flowers Sophie was picking dropped, and her heart skipped a beat for an unknown reason.
She was really aware of this man's scent, but she didn't say anything more and waited for him to calm down.
Sophie Stammering said, "Is there something wrong?"
Axel just hugged her tighter and didn't speak. They stayed like that and Axel was regretting why he let it happen. He had agreed to let it happen to her. He'd been guilty of not talking to Rebecca. He was afraid that she would take her life if he didn't go, so he did, and Axel was so guilty of not doing anything to prevent Rebecca from doing that to him.
And he said, "I'm sorry."
Axel hugged her even tighter, pressing his face against her shoulder and sniffing her scent like anecstasy.
Sophie was taken aback, but she just thought that he was sorry for seeing another woman and for what happened that day, and said, "It's okay, maybe you're just tired and I'm also at fault, so it's really okay."
Axel held her waist and turned her body to face him, and asked, "W-why are you avoiding me?"
Sophie was stunned at his question and looked in the other direction with a red face and said, "There's not much reason. Please don't take this the other way."
Axel looked at Sophie and kissed her on the lips. Flora, who was looking at them, turned herself around and said to herself, "What is that Miss Sophie asking for?"
She pretended to get something from within and let the lovers have their way.
Sophie returned each kiss, and Axel's mind was clear. Just focus on how soft and easy the feeling was, especially when he was with her.
"Would you mind telling me?"
As soon as their lips parted, Axel asked this question, and he looked at Sophie's face and her puffed eyes, and she said, "It's because you were nowhere to be found when I woke up, and..."
Sophie scratched her nape and added, "I know you are a womanizer, and I imagined things far off."
