AURORA’S POV
Three months later…
My lips spread into a wide grin as I watched Tyson play with the keys nervously. “What the hell is taking so long?”
Bumping my shoulder against Tyson’s, I said in a teasing voice, “Is the great Dragon King afraid of being spotted at the clinic of Gynecologist?”
His face turned red and he almost shouted, “How can you joke about this, Aurora? I am worried about our baby.”
“Excuse me, mister! Is this your first time at a hospital? Please keep your voice low!”
I burst out giggling as I saw the nurse chastise Tyson and storm away. I gasped his hand before he could pursue the nurse.
“Do you not want to see our baby?”
“F***! Aurora. If I wasn’t so tempted to see our baby on the screen, I would have never come to this wretched place.”
Exhaling deeply, I said in a rueful voice, “Do you know, I came to this same clinic when I was pregnant with Tiara. I had no one to accompany me… I felt so nervous and scared…”
He cupped my face and said, “Don’t worry Luv. I will accompany you every time.”
I was going to tell Tyson that such small matters don’t affect me after everything I had been through. But, I couldn’t let such a golden opportunity slide through my hands.
“Are you sure you can manage that Tyson?”
His face turned pale and he groaned when he realized what he had signed up for. But, he was too egoistic to withdraw after coming.
I felt a sense of déjà vu as my eyes swept over the room. This was the place from where Aslan had kidnapped me.
I had mixed feelings about the incident. It had taken me down the path of adventure and danger but it also led me to Tyson. He could be pig-headed and a huge egotist but under his hard exterior was a loving and caring heart.
“Mrs. Tyson, it is your turn.” The nurse called out drawing my attention.
I walked inside hand in hand with Tyson. A wide smile spread on my face as my free hand flew to my stomach. When little Caleb arrives, my life would be complete…
