I went to my seat and saw my phone on the desk, Debby gold seems to have left because she is no longer in the class, she probably must be looking for a way to get out of her mess.
I opened my phone and straight to my gallery, I looked for the video but I couldn't find it.
"The video is not here!!"
"What do you mean its not there? Let me check" Austin said.
"Are you sure you took a video if what happened? Or maybe you mistakenly erased it." Austin said.
"Or maybe, just maybe you never made the video and you put your life in danger, you want to spice things up by saying Debby gold is responsible for Azyma's mother's death."
"I am not lying about this Austin you have to believe me."
"Then where is the video?"
"I don't know, maybe someone erased it from my phone."
"Who would want to do that? Alero..."
"Debby gold is the one that did it I am sure, I told her that I have evidence against her and its in my phone so maybe she erased it while I was speaking to you."
"That seemed reasonable."
"I can't believe you are buying this Austin." Dinela said.
"Wait!! I saved the video on Google photos and let me check it." I finally found the video, I decided to send it to Austin and I sent it to Kally too, in case Debby gold decides to erase it again.
"Here it is, take a look." Austin took it from me and took a look at it.
"Alero is right Dinela, Debby gold really did it." Austin was about to hand me back my phone but Dinela snatched it from him.
"Let's see what evidence you show them after I erase it from your phone." I quickly rushed to get it from her but I was too slow.
"Deleted." Dinela said.
"What's wrong with you?" I asked bewildered. Thank God I already sent it to Austin, she thinks she is smart but I am smarter.
"Why do you want to get involved with Azyma, the police has got it in check."
"Now I see what's wrong, you are insane, selfish, narrow minded, I don't want to have anything to do with you, you are cold and heartless."
"I have to agree with Alero on this one Dinela." Austin said.
"Fine, you can do whatever you want, but don't say I didn't warn you." I snatched my cellphone from her as she said this, then took a sit on my chair, she left and took a sit on her own seat so did Austin.
Now that we stopped arguing I could see some of our classmates glancing at us, I am sure they'll be rumors and gossips about what just happened.
I should have not told Debby gold I have proof against her, I made a big mistake by doing that, I should think before acting some times, its just I was so excited.
"Everyone attention!!" The teacher yelled. "Let's get started with today's class."
I listened attentively to all that was being said Till I remembered what Dinela told me, she said my mom asked her to keep tabs on me.
How could my mom do something like that, I'll confront her about it when I get home, I am sure Dinela will tell my mom where I really went yesterday. I was in a good mood today, I was sure nothing could ruin my mood but Dinela just did that, I really should have not told Debby gold about it.
I'll go to Mrs Amira's house and talk to her about it leaving out what Dinela said, if Mrs Amira finds out that I lied to her about my mom allowing me to do all this she'll freak out and she won't allow me to help out anymore. I planned to go see Azyma but now I can't.
I have an Idea, I'll tell her to come pick me up, will then ask her nicely to take me to the hospital, then I'll tell her all that happened on the way to the hospital, leaving the part where Dinela told me my mom told her to keep tabs in me of course.
I was leaving school when I got a text from my dad.
Dad: I won't be able to come pick you up from school, take a taxi home.
Me: I don't have money to take a taxi
Dad: you can pay him once you get home, call your mom when you are almost home, she'll wait outside the house with the money.
Me: okay.
Dad: so sorry hon.
Me: its fine.
Dad: please be careful and go home immediately you are done with your school punishment.
Me: okay, bye.
Dad: bye.
I wanted to tell my dad that I have been relieved of my punishment but I decided against it, my dad not coming to pick me up is a sign that luck is on my side, I don't have to look for a excuse so he won't come pick me up. I will call Mrs Amira and tell her that my dad can't come pick me up then ask her something, what if she does not check her messages, I will take my chances.
Me: Good afternoon ma'am.
I waited for her to reply, after a minute or two I got impatient, why is she taking so long to reply.
Mrs Amira: Afternoon how are you?
I was really relieved when I saw her reply.
Me: I am okay but I have a situation.
Mrs Amira: what's the problem.
Me: it's not a big problem per say, my dad can't come pick me up from school, I saw his message a while ago and I have tried calling him he is not picking up, I also tried calling my mom but her phone is switched off, now I am stranded in school.
Mrs Amira: that's terrible, I would come to pick you up but I am busy at work will be done in about forty minutes, if you can wait then I'll come pick you up when I am done.
Me: I am can't exactly go anywhere so I'll wait for you, thank you.
Mrs Amira: don't mention, will be there in about an hour.
Me: please text me when you are here.
Mrs Amira: okay.
Me: yeah.
Thank God she agreed now I'll wait in school for an hour doing what? I went to seat under the tree in the school compound. I just sat there and was chatting with Kally on WhatsApp. I was supposed to go see Kally today, I just have a lot to do, will have to go next time and I'll have to give her a reason I sent the video to her, I just hope she is on my side.
Kally: girl why did you send me that video? 🙃🙃 I can't believe Debby gold could do such a thing and😖😖😲 anf how exactly did you get the video? 😅😅🤔🤔🤔🤔
Me: I sent it to you so you'll see exactly how Debby gold is and you'll be careful with her😓😓, I always knew she is an awful person but I also was shocked when I saw the video😧😱😱 and as for getting the video I have my ways😎😎😎
Kally: okay, anyways do you know that immediately I dropped the call after you called me yesterday, your mom called, I didn't even get a chance to tell my mom.
Me: really😱😱 what then happen?
Kally: your mom is smart she called the land line😗😗, my mom was about to pick but I quickly took it from her and told her its probably a call from me😋😋, I picked and said what you asked me to say😉😉, when my mom asked I told her what you told me, I also put in that your mom had a frail and weak heart😫😫, hope you don't mind that😢😢
Me: not really🙃🙃 thanks for covering up for me💖💖 and protecting my mom's heart 😍😍
Kally: you welcome🤗🤗 thanks for notifying me about Debby gold, I gotta go now, byee💗💗
Now that Kally is taken care of I am a bit relieved, I wonder when Austin will we the video, probably... Before I could complete my thoughts i saw Austin's message on WhatsApp.
Austin: I thought Dinela deleted the video, how come you sent it to me?
Me: I sent it when I found the video on Google photos just in case, before I showed it to you.
Austin: okay, I really don't understand Dinela anymore, I think she is working for or with Debby gold, I can't find any other reasonable explanation for why she would delete the video, I am just glad you were smart enough to send it to me before she deleted it, am I the only one you sent it to?
Me: no, I also sent it to Mrs Amira.
Austin: okay, that's good.
We kept chatting after that, Mrs Amira call came in and she told me she is in the parking lot, an hour is up already.
I carried my back and went to the parking lot, I spotted her car and got in.
"Thanks for coming to pick me up." I told her as I got in.
"Its nothing compared to what you did for me yesterday, and you were smart enough to video everything thank you." She said as we drove out of the parking lot.
"I sent you the video for a specific reason."
"Yeah, to expose Debby gold."
"Yes but no, I sent it because I knew that it might not be safe on my phone, have you shown the police the video?"
"No, not yet, I was quite busy, I was even supposed to travel but I was excused because of what happened."
"Okay, you need to show Mr Akhila the video immediately, why don't you send it to him now?!"
"Because I am driving, why are in such a haste?"
"First Debby gold deleted the video that I have, then Dinela deleted the one on my Google photos, you need to send it to Mr Akhila immediately."
"Don't turn here, take the left turn."
"Why? that is not the way to your house."
"That's because I want you to take me to the hospital, I want to see how Azyma is doing, I won't be long."
"Do your parents know you are going there?"
"I have left my mom and dad a message, I know they won't be upset because I am only going to see Azyma and I won't take long."
"Okay sure, so as you were saying?"
"Send me the video then, just in case."
"I am driving later I'll send it." After that we drove in a comfortable silence.
I am so happy that I am going to go see Azyma in the hospital, we drove in silence as I making flips in my head out of joy.
Suddenly the car stopped, I looked in front and I saw a massive building and at the top is National hospital.
"We are here."
"I can see that."
"Let's be quick I do not want you to be home late."
We entered the building and went to the third floor using a elevator and took a turn, when we got there I saw three rooms, one straight ahead and two opposite each other on each side.
"The room ahead is Axymah's room." Mrs Amira informed me.
"Okay." I walked on trembling legs to the front of the room, I was nervous and hesitant to open the door.
"The door does not bite, open it and go see her, we don't have the whole day." Mrs Amira complained.
I opened the door and I got in, I saw the state Azyma was in and I was horrified, she has bandages all over her except her hand, I can't see her legs because its covered so its probably only the top part of her body that is bandaged she also has an oxygen mask stuck to her face, I could make out some cuts on the part of her face that was not bandages.
I unconsciously walked closer to her, and a tear fell from my eye, before I knew it I started to sob.
"Azyma, I am sorry for everything wrong Dinela did to you, you should have told us, you should have told us your stepfather was assaulting you, why did you not tell anyone or say anything?! Do you know what?! Myself, Mrs Amira, her husband and Mr Akhila have put Mr Dario behind bars, he is in jail, he will never hurt you anymore." I placed my hand on hers.
"You can wake up now, you can open your eyes, Mr Dario can't hurt you anymore, he won't ever be able to come close to you because he is behind bars so you need to get up, open your eyes please, I beg you, Dinela has changed completely, she now speaks ill of you and she does not care about whatever happens to you.
She is so cold hearted, Debby gold will also join Mr Dario behind bars very soon, don't worry when you wake up I'll tell you everything, right now I need you to wake up, you are safe now." I waited for her to move any part of her body but she didn't move.
"Can you please leave now, she needs to rest." The nurse said as she walked in.
What more rest those she need, she as been asleep for almost two weeks now, I thought to myself. I stood up and was leaving, I turned around expecting her to move any part of her body or open her eyes but that did not happen, I guess this is the difference between reality and movies.
I left the room and I saw Mrs Amira standing outside but she was facing away from the room so she didn't see me when I got out of the room, I quickly wiped my tears away and got her attention by calling her name.
"Mrs Amira?! I am done seeing her, can you take me home now?"
"Yes of course but give me a moment, I want to go take a whizz, here hold my purse, I'll be right back." She left and I took out her phone from her purse, It was already opened so I looked for the video on her phone and found it there and kept it back in her purse.
"I am done let's go." She said as she took her purse from me.
I walked next to her and we exited the hospital, we were on our way to my house, Azyma please wake up soon was my last thought before I dossed off.
