Blue's POV
It's Monday and it still feels like Saturday because the breakup is still fresh in my memory.
I went downstairs for breakfast and my eyes were swollen because of the tears .
"Good morning everyone" I greeted slowly with a hoarse voice.
"Good morning Blue..... How are you feeling today?" She asked and I didn't bother to reply.
"I can't believe you broke up with Zara ... She's your best friend" Chelsea said.
Chels has been accusing me of that since Saturday..... It's only Kay,Dad and Mom that have really sympathized with me.
"I called up Zara yesterday and she said you lied to her"Kaycee said.
"I didn't mean to.... I had promised Pearl that we'd meet at the beach with the Cheetahs" I replied and cried too.
"I knew that Pearl was trouble.. and since when do you and those chic girls get along?" Chelsea asked agape.
If only they'd understand what I'm going through... They have no idea what Ivy is passing through and I'm the only hope.
"Don't cry ... It's okay just eat a little breakfast and go to school Okay" mom said , I sniffed and nodded.
I ate and went off to school..... I got to my locker and the Cheetahs walked up to me.
"Morning Blue... How are you?" Daisy asked.
"I'm good" I replied with a light smile ...
I don't want them to think that I'm bothered by what happened.
"Blue I know you're not fine at all... Why don't you just tell her?" Kaylee asked and I huffed.
"What do you want me to tell her?.. that Ivy is cursed and in limbo?.. that I just found out that I'm a mermaid?... That Pearl and Alondra are my kind?" I asked agape.
"If I had wanted to tell her.. I would have told her a long time ago not now that she's angry" I stated harshly.
"Hey look, she's coming!" AJ said and I turned to look.
She looked good.. she doesn't look affected by any of this at all.
"But she wasn't alone.. she was with a girl- Maya.. she's in our class.
They got to the locker and they spoke to each other. I heard everything they said because Zara's locker is next to mine.
She acted like no one was there.
"Ok Maya.. this is the locker"Zara said with a bright smile.
"Thanks Zara... " Maya replied.
"Zara!" I called but she didn't even spare me a look .. she just walked past us and went into the class.
"Hi Blue... Hey guys" Maya said and the Cheetahs just waved.
I know you're wondering why The Cheetahs waved back.. well Maya is Davidson DeVille's sister and she's quite popular because of her brother... Quarterback of the soccer team.
"Hi Maya.... Emm why are you using Zara's locker?" I asked and I smiled.
"Well Zara wanted a locker on the other passage ... We exchanged lockers" she said and my mouth dropped open.
"What?... But did she tell you why?" I asked and she nodded.
"Well she didn't say anything but I like the locker" she said and shut the locker after arranging her books there.
"Okay..Blue, see you in class" she said and left.
Zara changed lockers because she doesn't want to be with me anymore.
"Blue!" Kaylee called slowly and I just walked into the classroom.
I sighted Zara but she wasn't alone she was with some girls at the back giggling.
Why is Zara acting like this?... I took my seat and played with my fingers .
Daisy's POV
" Blue is not doing the right thing" I stated immediately after she left.
"She's trying to help us and she's getting hurt as well" Kaylee said and breathed out.
"We have to help her too... We can't just sit down and watch her fight all the battles herself" Amy said.
"I have an idea... Why don't we speak to Zara" AJ suggested and it sounded good.
"That's a good idea...it will be during recess cos now we have to go to class" AJ said and we all agreed...
During recess we'll speak to her...at Least let's help Blue out because she's helping with Ivy.
The lectures came and went but the whole thing was just too much..
The bell for recess rang and a part of me was just happy.
Zara's POV
What Blue did still hurts but I have to move on . I can't sit and watch Blue move on while I stay like a stagnant substance...
Since the secret is so big that she can't tell me , then I'll have to find out for myself.
I ordered something in the cafeteria and not too long Maya came to join me.
Then at that moment the Cheetahs also came to sit with us.
Why are they here?
"Zara , we need to talk," Daisy said and I just laughed.
"There's nothing to talk about... You can continue with your business and I'll continue with mine" I retorted.
"What's wrong with you Zara?.. you can't tell me that you've already moved on?" Amy said and I twitched.
"What I do is none of your business... It's Blue that was my friend not you. Pls leave " I snarled.
"Zara... What we see is not always as it seems" AJ said.
"Haven't you done enough.. leave!!!" I shouted and it also drew attention in the cafeteria.
They left with humiliation written on their face and they deserved it.
"Did you really have to shout?" Maya asked .
"Just forget that.. let's continue with our lunch" I said and that nosy Pearl popped out of nowhere.
"I see you're enjoying your new friend's company" Pearl said and I smiled.
"If you really loved Blue... You wouldn't have gone on a break from her" she said and I gave her a pathetic look.
"You know what... If you really had any shame left in you , you would not come here and run your mouth like a fool" I retorted.
" Well I just have one thing to say to you.. now that you've ended your relationship with Blue... Leave her alone and let someone else love her better than you"Pearl said and I scoffed.
"I knew from day one that you've got something up your sleeves." I said bashfully.
" But it's already too late.. Blue would never believe you so just let it go" she said and anger ate me up from inside.
"Blue deserves someone better than a low life human like you so just keep your lies to yourself" I said angrily.
"Blue doesn't need you anymore. Blue is mine and only mine" she said and I opened my eyes in shock.
