Blue's POV
2 weeks after Chelsea's death...
The atmosphere of the house has improved a little but the loss still blew in the air.
I woke up early and freshened up quickly . I wore my uniform and rushed downstairs to the dining area for breakfast.
"Good morning mom, morning dad" I greeted as I placed my school bag next to me and took a seat.
"Morning" mom replied coldly.
Chelsea's loss really weighed her down .... She hasn't really smiled ever since the incident.
"Dad... How are you today?" I asked him .
"Much better" he replied as he sipped a little from his coffee and took his bag and left for work.
Everyone looked surprised but what could we do?
"Sup Kayc" I hailed and he smiled.
"Cool" he replied with a light shake in his voice.
I'm trying to keep everyone together and happy on Chelsea's orders but it seems I'm failing.
Mom placed the plates on the table ready for breakfast and mistakenly placed one on Chelsea's place.
I and Kaycee looked at each other as mom removed the plate slowly.
With the look on her face.... She isn't in good shape and she's also lonely.
"Mom" I called slowly and she used her hand to stop me from speaking and ran upstairs.
Immediately after she left I lost my appetite to eat ... I ran out with my backpack and Kaycee ran from behind.
"Are you okay?" He asked as we were settled at the backseat ready for us to leave.
"Yeah.. I'm good" I replied and swallowed hard.. trying to stop the tears that were threatening to fall from falling.
The ride was quiet and really felt like something was missing.
I felt cold and hot at the same time...
We finally got to school and for the past two weeks all eyes have always been on us.
I and Kaycee went our separate ways .
I was on my way to class when I sighted Zara and Maya arguing... It was almost like they would engage in a physical combat soon.
I ran over there ... The students were gathered there but none tried to stop them.
The exchange of words was kinda intense.
"How dare you say that to me?" Zara asked wildly..
Wow!.. This is the first time I'm seeing Zara like this.
"You dared me, you liar!" Maya snarled from the other side.
"Guys calm down" I spoke as I tried to separate them from almost beating each other up.
"Get lost !" Maya shouted at me.
I glared at her and looked back at Zara.
"Zara what happened?" I asked as we backed down a little.
"Blue!!" She shouted.
I shrieked and fell to the ground..
OMG... A bottle??
That Maya girl is crazy... It seems craziness runs in their family.
She took a bottle and tried to break it on my head.
I sustained some injuries from the broken glass on my hand.
Zara.. rushed to me on the floor and took me straight to the nurse's office.
I went to Alondra's office and she jumped in surprise
"Blue!" She called ...
Well it wasn't surprising cos the bruises were much.
She quickly ushered me to sit and started the treatment.
I sat down and my mind went back to the fight... What really transpired between them?
"Zara.. what happened?" I asked as I twitched due to the treatment of the wound.
"Blue.. it's nothing , just forget it" she said and left the office.
What's wrong??
" What happened?" Alondra asked still treating the
Wound.
I breathed out and sighed.
" I don't know but there was a huge fight between her and Maya" I replied and she shook her head.
"Humans" I heard her mutter and I smiled.
She treated the wound and took all her equipment back..
She walked up to me and probably wanted to say something...
She stared at me in awe and scoffed.
"Where is your necklace?" She asked .
She looked at my neck and I shrugged.
"What do you mean by this?" She asked and shrugged like me .
"I took it off," I blurted out.
" You what?" She replied in a surprisingly calm question.
"Are you alright?" I snapped immediately.
"Yes... And no" I replied and threw my face away.
"Blue.. that necklace defines you" she said and I looked at her.
"No it doesn't... I have the right to choose what I want to do and when" I snapped back.
"You can't just take it off," I said in anger.
"That necklace took me to cursed Ivy.. magic cursed Zara and now this" I said and shook my head.
"Yes but that same magic reversed everything," she said impatiently.
"Oh really?.. Where's my Chelsea?" I asked as tears were beginning to form in my eyes.
"So what do you want me to do... You want me to wear what killed my sister with pride?" I said in a question.
"You still don't have the right to take it off" she said and I jumped from the bed.
I wiped my tears and sniffed...
"I'm quitting magic and everyone that has to do with it" I said and with that I left.
