Chapter 134

CHAPTER 134

AUTHOR'S POV

Wilson extended his hand, "It's nice to meet you, Zendaya, beautiful as your name."

"Thank you Mr. Wilson, nice to meet you too", Zendaya smiled and shook his hand.

"The pleasure is all mine," Wilson said, smiling back at Zendaya, "So how is your day going?"

"It's going well, thank you," Zendaya said gratefully, "Alexander had been showing me around the market."

"That was actually where we met. I ran into Zendaya while I was getting some food stuff, so I thought I had to introduce you two."

Wilson was genuinely interested, he could not remember if his son had ever brought someone home, specifically a girl, "Well, it's nice to have you here, Zendaya. Are you from around these parts?"

Zendaya shook her head, "No, we actually just moved here."

"Oh, what part?", Wilson asked.

Zendaya smiled and quickly thought of something to cover that up, there would be no need to bring any attention to them, "Just around, I have not quite gotten used to many things, and it's difficult to describe somewhat", she laughed, relieved because Wilson's face showed he fell for it.

"Well, you picked the right place to move into," Wilson said welcomingly, "We are having a barbecue later. You are more than welcome to join us."

"Thank you Mr. Wilson, I had love too," Zendaya said with a smile while turning to Alexander, who also gave her a reassuring smile.

"Dad, I was also thinking Zendaya could join us for dinner tonight. What do you say?", Alexander offered as he also turned to Zendaya and asked, "Would that be okay for you? I will understand if you need to leave early."

Zendaya nodded, "If your Dad would allow it."

"Of course I will," Wilson agreed, pleased, "The more, the merrier. Plus there should be an extra place at the table and if there isn't, we will just have to make one then, your welcome anytime Zendaya."

Zendaya smiled, her sides and her cheeks hurt a bit though from too much smiling, "Thank you so much, Mr. Wilson, I truly appreciate it."

"That's okay," Wilson said and then tapped on the counter, "Alright I will give you kids a break, while I start making the barbecue, make yourself at home Zendaya."

Zendaya nodded before Wilson then left the two alone in the kitchen.

As soon as Wilson left, Zendaya turned to Alexander, who she had gotten more comfortable with as time passed, and she felt he had too, "So… What now?"

Alexander considered for a moment, then gestured towards the doorway leading back to the living room, "Why don't we head back to the living room with some fruits, we can relax there and chat some more, while my Dad makes the barbecue."

"Is it okay to let him make it all alone?", Zendaya asked.

"Yeah, don't worry most of the time he loves doing it by himself, not wanting anyone to ruin his secret whatever", Alexander chuckled and shook his head.

Zendaya understood what he meant and nodded her head, a hint of excitement in her eyes, "Then the living room sounds good to me."

Immediately she said that, her brain interpreted it in another way, she could only hope, it was not the same for Alexander.

Oh, Moon Goddess!

They both made their way back to the living with some fruits, settling into the cozy surrounding as they sunk into the plush couch.

There was a comfortable silence that descended between them, broken only by the crackling of the fireplace.

"So, you know, I have been wanting to ask you something," Alexander said.

Zendaya's heart thumped a bit, she had no idea why, but it just did. She raised an eyebrow, intrigued, "Oh? Sure. What's on your mind?"

"Well I was wondering, what's your favorite thing to do in your spare time?", Alexander asked.

Zendaya almost burst out laughing but was able to control herself, "This was what he wanted to ask? Why did he start that way", she thought to herself, fighting the urge to just burst out laughing.

In other words, she was glad to share more about herself with him, "Tough question, because I love numerous things, like singing, dancing, listening to music, drawing, movies, and so many more I think."

Alexander chuckled, charmed by her different interests, "That's a lot and I love that, I also love what you love, add games, hiking, camping and those sorts of things to it, it just depends on the mood I guess and other stuffs, I don't know if I am explaining right."

"I understand you though," Zendaya confirmed with a nod as she ate her apple.

She was impressed too, "I have always wanted to try camping", she had never actually camped before in the woods alone, fires, night sky, stars, silent woods, peaceful. It seemed very admirable and calm to Zendaya.

Alexander grinned as his eyes twinkled, "Well, if you ever want a camping buddy, you know where to find me."

Zendaya laughed, enjoying their playful and comfortable chat, "I will keep that in mind. But only if you promise not to scare me with ghost stories around the campfire."

Alexander raised his hands in mock surrender while still chuckling, "Deal. No ghost stories, I promise."

Zendaya laughed and rolled her eyes, not fully believing in him, "So how old are you?"

"I'm nineteen," Alexander answered, "How about you?"

"Seventeen," Zendaya said a bit nervously, thinking she was too young for him or something.

"That's cute, two years difference," Alexander said and then teased her as she teased him back.

Nothing too bad with being nervous though, it just happens and sometimes cannot be helped.

As they continued to chat and laugh, their conversations sometimes became a bit flirty. Not until an action followed suit.

Alexander had brushed a stray strand of Zendaya's hair behind her ear, a gentle touch that sent shivers down her spine, even more than the one she felt when she first met him for the first time.

"Oh Goddess, what is this boy doing to me?", Zendaya asked herself, meeting his gaze as her heart raced.
