CHAPTER 137
AUTHOR'S POV
Zendaya waited in her hiding spot, the moon cast dappled shadows through the canopy, was not bad, she had an advantage with it though but the forest was still dark.
Zendaya's senses picked up the sound of footsteps crunching on leaves and the murmur of voices drawing nearer, asking each other, "Where is she? She could not have gone far."
Zendaya tensed up, readying herself for the confrontation ahead. She strategically positioned herself behind a cluster of trees, selecting a spot where she could remain concealed until the men were within her striking distance.
She peeped and saw as they arrived deeper, scanning the area, obviously looking for any sign of her. Unaware of her presence, they continue forward, their footsteps growing louder with each passing moment.
"They don't just give up", Zendaya sighed and with a silent growl, she launched herself from her hiding spot, her movements agile and swift as she pounced on the unsuspecting men.
Shock with a little mixture of fear flashed across their faces as they realized what was happening. With a feral snarl, she lunged forward, her claws slightly extended as she targeted the closest assailant, aiming a powerful punch at his chest to knock him off balance.
They were still surprised, but it seemed like they were about to get the hang of it and fight back instead of just living, "Oh, Goddess", Zendaya really was not up for this, but it's not like she had a choice. She was not going to show anything either, so she put back her claws, if she would use them it would be swiftly and unnoticed by any of them.
As the men reacted with surprise and counterattacks, Zendaya moved with speed, evading their blows with acrobatic flips and nimble dodges. She delivered a barrage of punches and kicks, aiming for vulnerable points such as their throat, knees, and ribs.
Training lessons since she was younger was sure as hell paying off.
As Zendaya fought these men, chaos erupted, they were not backing down, she still gave them swift blows and dodged their attempts to retaliate.
"Catch her, you are letting this bitch overpower you", one of them shouted at the other two as grunts were made.
"Should you not just give up and leave me alone? I do not want to hurt anyone," Zendaya said to them while protecting herself.
The one that shouted before laughed, "Leave? We are going to teach you a good lesson, adding it up with some s*x education, so surrender, and we will make it sweet for you, but if you still prove stubborn, and we capture you, you will wish you listened to me."
"Well, at least I tried to reason with you", Zendaya used the uneven terrain of the forest to her advantage, darting between the trees and using them as cover to confuse and outmaneuver her opponents.
"Oh, so now you are hiding", The man laughed, "Come out, come out, wherever you are…you cannot hide for long, just give in."
"I'm right here", Immediately the man turned, Zendaya employed guerrilla tactics, striking from unexpected angles and disappearing into the shadows before he and the other two could even react.
"Arghhhh, get that motherfucking bitch, you stupid fools, you won't get a taste of her, if any of you let her escape", The man groaned from pain, Zendaya's last hit on him was at where his sun shined, but not sure if it was shining anymore.
Unknown to Zendaya, as she proceeded to attack again, one of the men managed to grab her from behind, his fingers digging into her neck, in a force and desperate attempt to subdue her, "I have got her, the bitch, I have got her, we are going to enjoy every bit of you", The man whispered in her eyes, kissing it.
"Disgusting", Zendaya muttered, she was now done playing around. Her eyes had flashed, she was trying so hard not to let her powers show and with a snarl, she wrenched herself free, her eyes blazing as she turned the tables on her assailant.
When one of the men attempted to grapple her, she responded by twisting out of his gasp, delivering a swift elbow to his jaw and then she locked him in a joint hold, using leverage to subdue him while keeping her attention on the other attackers.
Then she went for his neck, squeezed it tight enough to make him fall down unconscious, yet alive.
Now her focus was on the remaining too, a blow to the head was enough to take down the other one and for the one who sharpened his smelling mouth and gave orders, he got a special treat.
She blocked his incoming strikes, then landed a kick on where his sun shined again, before finally doing a side flip, where she slammed her foot hard on his neck.
He groaned and fell to the ground on his knees before falling completely on the ground.
They were all unconscious but alive. She should have killed them, but she was not allowed to anyway, she did not want to draw any attention either, well whatever, it would just be best she leaves them alive.
Taking a moment, Zendaya caught her breath and surveyed the scene before her, "I can't leave them here," she said and proceeded to drag them away, "They actually had to get me exhausted."
She dragged them to a spot far from the forest, like in a different direction, each one of them and when she was done, she dusted her hand, gave a nod of satisfaction and turned away from the unconscious figures, disappearing into the forest.
Mind you, she did not forget the food that Mr. Wilson had given to her as she headed home.
Speaking of Mr. Wilson, he was on his way to his experiment room, immediately Alexander came back home, "I need to do some work, might be up late," he informed Alexander, who just nodded and went home to his room.
"You really do not know when to keep quiet, do you?", Wilson said as he brought out his syringe and the bottle of liquid to give the werewolf another doze, "Do you want me to tape your mouth?"
"P-please, I need w-water", The werewolf pleaded weakly to Wilson's surprise.
"Well that is a first," Wilson said mischievously, "You need water?", Wilson got a bottle of water and opened it up, he pretended to want to give it to the werewolf who already had his mouth open but then stopped,
"Nu-uh, not so fast," Wilson said, "what would you do to quench your thirst?"
