CHAPTER 14
MONTANA'S POV
I turned towards the sound of his voice, with a confused and somewhat disappointed look, "Yes? What is it you have for...me?", I drew out the last part.
Alpha Lincoln had been given a small fine box by Sean. I guess Sean held onto it for him as he presented the small box which was adorned with like beautiful design. And then handed it to me.
"May I?", I asked getting a bit excited as he nodded and I opened the box.
My eyes grew wide, "Wow", everything things I had been feeling, the sad feelings and disappointments were all suddenly replaced with happiness. A wide smile creeps up on my face, "Th- this is beautiful, extraordinary even."
It is a central crystal in a deep and iridescent teal shade and somewhat has the shape of a teardrop I think. Its frame was white gold, which even made it more enchanting.
"Do you like it?", he asked and for a second I had forgotten everything around us as I got hooked by this fine-ass necklace.
"Of course, I don't just like it, I love it", the smile on my face increasing.
I noticed he had moved closer and taken the necklace out of the box for me, "May I?."
"May you- oh yes yes", I cleared my throat and coordinated myself, "Yes, please", with that, I turned around and made way for my neck, using my hand to move and hold my hair at my side as he put on the necklace for me.
When he was done, I let my hair down and admired the necklace on me. The chain was slender, a silver chain which complemented the crystal's look and it rested almost near the heart.
"Beautiful", he said and I looked up at him with a large smile.
"Thank you Alpha, I am very happy and grateful for your gift", I said sincerely, I knew I would cherish this gift and maybe will never take it off.
Wait, do I have to take it off when I want to have a shower? What a stupid thing to think about at this moment.
"But...I did not get you anything, although I will-."
"That is okay, you do not have to get me anything, just accept my gift to you", he told me and I nodded still smiling.
"Congratulations sister, who knew you could get...this far?", Lola of course came to us with a fake smile.
"I am not your sister and you are not my sister either but thank you for your congratulation and your coming", I replied to her in a very polite way that also hinted that she was no longer welcome with the rest of her family.
"I would like it if everyone respects themselves", Alpha Lincoln came to me and surprisingly held my waist, pulling me closer to him, "This is a special day for I and Montana and I doubt anyone will be stupid enough to ruin it...right?."
"Right, Alpha Lincoln, excuse my mate", Luke stepped in with a nervous smile, drawing Lola back to himself while my father, oh I mean Mr. Ford and his wife remained quiet.
"Very well then, the party is about to begin, let us go to the site and enjoy ourselves. Shall we?", Alpha Lincoln offered as everyone agreed.
I was enjoying relaxing in his arms but soon that feeling was gone as he let go of me like I was a plague, "Let's go", he ordered and I followed him.
This was my life now.
The party was great. Victoria made sure that I had a great time and the kids did too. It also seemed like they had taken a liking to Alpha Lincoln just as he had taken one to them too, to the extent that he let them call him father.
Something I never thought would happen in a lifetime. I hoped it would be good for them, but I decided not to think of what would happen when the whole contract ends, I will just live in the moment.
Soon the whole party was over and everyone had returned home while the cleaners, cleaned and arranged the whole place.
I was back in my room while I supposed Alpha Lincoln was back at his and I wondered if he was going to come to my room or he would send for me since it was our wedding night. I could not help but wonder if that would happen despite all these being a contract and I secretly hoped it would.
A knock came on my door and immediately I rushed to open it and to my surprise it was Victoria. My face immediately let out a disappointed look.
"It seemed like you were expecting someone else and not me", she teased me.
"I was not", I lied and went back to my bed, sitting on it.
"Are you sure? You seemed so excited but the moment you saw it was me, the excitement disappeared and that kinda hurts", Victoria made a pouting face.
I turned to help and could not help but chuckle, going and hugging her arm, "Don't mind that."
"So it was my brother you were waiting for?", she resumed her teasing and I let go of her.
"Tell me. Do you like him by any chance? I see the way you look at him Montana and you better not think of lying to me", She pressed on but I still ignored her.
That was not enough and she kept pushing, "I don't, and even if I do, it does not mean anything Victoria, it will not matter and you of all people should know this."
"Things can change over time Montana, I know what you think about this but the both of you still have time, and who knows, it might actually end well, so don't give up. Plus I feel like something good will come out from all this", it was nice what she was saying to me and I hoped so too but I was still afraid of getting my hopes shattered, it would be best if I kept on waiting for the worst also as I wait for the best.
"Hmm...", I heard Victoria hum, "why don't we get you ready?."
"Ready for what?."
"Ready to go meet my brother. If he won't come to you then you will go to him."
I knew it was a very stupid idea but Victoria had managed to convince me and so I agreed and got all sexy.
She was going to wait for me in my room while I went to her brothers which I did. Now I stood in front of his door, my heart was racing more than normal as I raised my hand and knocked but there was no answer.
I knocked some more but still nothing, although I heard sounds and put my ears at the door, "was that moaning?."
Of course my curious mind did not stop me from reaching for the handle of the door and opening it, surprisingly it was open.
Which led to me spotting Alpha Lincoln in bed with someone else.
