CHAPTER 42
ALPHA LINCOLN'S POV
Davina had explained that I had to cut it out unless, as the charm grew, Victoria was likely to get more ruthless and run mad.
As the Knife was given to me, I used it, went straight for the charm, and used the knife to cut it out.
Immediately I cut it out, Victoria lay still on the dining table with her eyes closed. Montana, who seemed to be getting herself from, being channeled came over to check on Victoria.
Suddenly, Victoria opened her eyes, we were alert just in case it did not work.
"Victoria is that you? Are you back?", Montana asked her quickly while inspecting her whole behavior.
Victoria groaned and rubbed her forehead, "What the hell happened?", she asked, but the memories seemed to come back in a minute as her eyes widened, and she turned to Montana, "Oh bloody hell", she hugged Montana tightly.
"She's back", Montana's said happily, and I sighed relieved.
I gave Davina and curt nod, signifying how grateful I am, and she smiled at me.
"Come, let us go and return the Lockets", I told Davina and Sean. We went back to the Eclipse sanctuary, put back the Lockets separately in a way that they would not join together, and then locked the box with my blood.
The day was finally over, my parents had gotten back from a meeting they covered for me while I went to rescue Victoria. They were so happy to have their only daughter and last born back.
Montana herself had done a good job in helping Victoria clean up and feeding her with lots of food to the extent Victoria wanted to escape.
"You know you have not eaten well, eat some more", Montana will say, ignoring Victoria's whining.
Finally, the day was coming to an end or should I say was already over. Everything was back to normal and on track.
Before Davina left, she made a statement directed to Montana, "You are very Strong, it makes me doubt if you are an Omega."
Montana looked perplexed, "I'm sorry, what do you mean?"
"When I channeled you", Davina said, "you helped me a lot
Montana then smiled, "I gave in my all, I'm glad it worked in a way where you see me as strong."
"Very well then, I will take my leave now", Davina said to us.
I offered for her to join us during dinner, but she said she had something to do and needed to leave, "Alright Davina, thank you!."
"The pleasure is all mine, Alpha Lincoln. Until we meet again", Davina nodded and then left.
Sean, on the other hand, did join us for dinner.
"Alright, Zane, Zendaya, time for bed", Montana said to them, once they were done eating. She excused herself and left, going to get them ready for bed.
"Bro, when are you going to introduce me to a lady", I asked Sean as I was escorting him home. I just needed a walk and his house was still in the pack, not far from my mansion but was a good stroll.
"What lady?", Sean asked, acting all confused, like he did not know what I meant.
I slammed my shoulder with him, "I am very sure, you know what I mean. So tell me when, 'cause it has been like forever since I saw you with someone."
"I don't know where she is", was Sean's reply, "I have had a few flings I guess but not much, mostly because of my mate but again, where the hell is she hiding???!", he exclaimed, I could feel how tired he was.
I knew he had been looking for his mate for quite some time now and could not find one.
Unlike me, I had a mate, not only that but a first love, but she died and since then, all this stuff does not move me much but still, it would be nice for Sean to have a woman he can call HIS.
I tapped his shoulder, "Don't worry, my brother, she will come soon. Sooner than you know it."
He turned and looked at me, a look asking how?, "Like how?", he finally said and hissed, "And stop walking me home like a girl, go home, you have a beautiful lady waiting for you."
"Shut up Sean, as a matter of fact, I will not reach your doorstep, I am leaving now", I said to him with a fake disgusted face, with my upper lips up.
"Yes go, finally, Thank Goddess," Sean said sounding happy.
"So you are pursuing me? What kind of best friend are you?", I said to him.
Sean laughed, "Go and whine to your Luna", and with that said, he winked and turned, leaving.
I shook my head, chuckling, and went back, the night was indeed beautiful and the air was so refreshing. I took tiny steps, enjoying nature.
People who passed greeted me, I'm respect and I nodded as I continued my stroll.
"ALPHA, Alpha!!!", I heard a very tiny voice call out, only for me to see the little pup running towards me, who finally hugged my legs.
She was so little and cute, I picked her up and pulled her cheeks cutely, "And who is this cutie we have here? Why are you out here all alone?"
The little girl giggled and hugged my neck. I smiled and rubbed her back, "Your parents will be looking for you, you know that? Do not always run away with those tiny legs of yours, okay?"
She nodded, "Okie Alpha."
"Promise me, let me see your pinky", I said to her, and she raised her head, smiling widely, while bringing out her pinky and putting it with mine.
"Pwomise Awlpha", she giggled more, and I could not help but smile and rub her hair.
What a cute, innocent child.
"Oh Goddess, I am so sorry Alpha, I hope she did not disturb you", Her mum finally came.
"She did not, instead she made me smile", I said as I handed over the child to her mother.
Her mother seemed delighted about what I said and thanked me for holding her daughter for her. Soon, they left and I reached my home.
I was going upstairs to my room, but before I could process what was happening I found myself in front of Montana's door, knocking.
"Alpha, oh hi", she said, a bit startled as she opened the door.
I don't know whether I was thinking or not, but I moved closer, grabbed her neck softly from the back, and kissed her.
