The unthinkable acts of Dario and me have unfortunately messed up Melina's mind, she never allows me to be with another man out of respect for Tomas and to not mess up my little girl's mind, now my daughter sees me kissing a complete stranger to her, everything I have tried to preserve all these years has been of no use.
- Daughter, what you saw out there should not have happened! Valentine's father and I had a history long before I met your father, he was someone important to me in the past. Don't be sad with me, please!

I didn't know how to answer this question since I didn't know what to say, Dario moves me, I can't lie but there are many other issues involved besides the two of us. Our past is still something that hurts me and I don't know if he has really changed or if he is just pretending to be with me and Melina.

Melina said goodbye to her aunt, cousins and Grandma Emilia and I did the same, my little girl went last to her uncle who hugged her affectionately and gave her his blessing, we went in the direction of the car that was being driven by Sergio, he also gave his recommendations to me like the good friend he is.

I went towards the landing area of the private jets, Dario was outside with Valentine by his side, my son when he saw me came running towards me followed by his father, who walked briskly towards us.
- Mama, I thought you weren't coming, I was afraid!
- Honey, mommy was a little late because of the traffic but I'm already here and we can go!
Melina went to her brother holding his hand and headed for the jet, while Dario stayed beside me watching the children, some security guards carried my bags, while I walked towards the jet together with Dario.
- I also thought that you would not come, Cecilia, I would really like to say that I am extremely happy that you agreed to come with us, especially because of Valentine. My son is crazy about Mama Cecilia and it makes me happy to see him smile like I have never seen before, I would like to thank you for that!
- No need to thank me, all I want is to see Valentine happy, but being his mother is not enough. I need you to commit yourself to being a good father, he needs you too!
Dario bowed his head as if reflecting on what I had said. It's so sad to see that the relationship between father and son is not the best, and much of this is his fault because he neglected the little one's upbringing. We climbed the stairs to the jet, helping the children to climb them as well, my children started to argue about who would sit next to me when I went to resolve the situation, Dario anticipated:
- I will be the one who will sit next to your mother, you will sit next to each other in the other seats. I don't want to hear any arguments.
Melina and Valentine sat in their seats as Dario told them to without complaining or throwing any kind of tantrum, I was impressed by his attitude in resolving the conflict between the children, but irritated that he sat next to me without my permission.
- There's no need to get upset, Cecilia! If we're going to spend a week together it's perfectly natural that I want to be close to you, even against your will, so you'd better accept my presence even if it irritates you!
I decided to keep quiet but thinking about how I would repay her for having done this to me. After a few hours we arrived at our destination, it was a beautiful beach, as soon as we got off the jet we were met by the driver hired by Dario to take us to the beach house, a perfect and spacious place.

The sun was saying goodbye and giving way to the night, which I can already imagine will be starry and with a beautiful moon. While I was admiring the view with my children, Dario joined us, also fascinated by this vision of the end of the day, we were all silent and contemplating that masterpiece of nature.

Dario smiled at me turning my body to face him, it was impossible not to feel a chill in his deep gaze.
- I'm thanking you for being alive, for giving me a beautiful daughter, and especially for giving me a second chance, I promise you won't regret it.
Dario tried to kiss me but I didn't allow it, luckily the children have gone to find their rooms and are not here, it would be difficult to explain about this conversation, especially to Melina.

I leave the terrace leaving him alone, as tempting as it is I can't succumb to my feelings for Dario, even though I am still confused about my feelings. This trip will be important because I will know if I can trust what I feel for Dario or if I cannot risk it because of our past.
