I only had one chance and I couldn't fail my daughter's life and mine depended on it, I took a deep breath while I fixed my clothes and looked at my sleeping baby, I needed to act fast I didn't have much time, I know that Caetano's intention is to escape taking me away from here so I need to be agile. I knock on the door and begin to call him the second time I call his name he came smiling in that disgusting way he used to do before abusing me, as difficult as it was I forced an inviting smile.
- I'm hungry, Caetano, could you bring me something to eat, feeding Leandra takes all my energy, I'm starving!

That's when we saw Caetano on the floor with one of the daggers stuck in his chest and another in his belly, Cecilia held Leandra trying to calm my daughter while Luana removed the daggers from Caetano's body that was almost lifeless. Luana and Cecilia had killed Caetano Pacino and now he was dying in my wife's arms.

We were hiding in the back of the house when we heard the sound of shots and even though we were far away we could see that someone had been hit but we didn't know who it was so I had an idea so I could get inside without Sergio stopping me.
- Sergio, I'm going there to see who was shot, it might have been Dario or my brother, stay here and wait for me.
- No, it's dangerous to go there, Caetano could be getting ready to shoot again! Stay here and wait for me, I'll go see who's been wounded and come back.
Sergio left me cautiously until he reached the others, I know that there would be no need for him to go but knowing my friend as I do, he would help whoever was wounded because he is a nurse by training, and feels the need to use his skills to help those in need. Caetano turned to see who had hit him noticed his expression of pain even then he tried to attack me, was when Luana took the dagger that was hidden in her dress taking advantage of the fact that he was weak going towards him getting in front of him and sticking her dagger in his chest.
He looked at her as if he couldn't believe what had happened, my sister-in-law's gaze was immersed in the hatred she felt for Caetano but I could see pity in her eyes, I went to the bed taking Leandra in my lap my niece was still frightened by everything that had happened, suddenly Dario and Romeo entered the house observing Caetano's situation while Luana removed the daggers from his body.
