Chapter Marriage of convenience

Gwen leaned on her chair after completing her work. She smiled and closed her eyes to relax them not knowing that the famous group of devil's were eyeing her.

She was the only rookie who didn't give them anything to show her gratitude.

"Hey rookie, one cappuccino for director, one latte for me, one iced coffee for Mia and one hit coffee for Becca." Danny informed her.

Gwen raised her head.

"One pink milk please."

Director lost his temper but Becca calmed him down. Danny scoffed.

"Rookie, don't you have respect for your seniors. Go and bring us our order."

Gwen quickly got up and ran out. Soon she came back with the order. She gave them coffee who took them with a proud smile.

"You are learning fast." Becca took a sip.

"I have to go now, the price is on the back. You can give me money later." Gwen greeted them and left while everyone was in shock. The director came out of shock and lifted his finger to curse her.

"Don't worry sir, I will give her a good scolding tomorrow." Danny ensured him.

.................

"Miss Debra, did you eat your lunch?"

Sian asked her as she was with him the whole day and he was sure that she didn't eat lunch just like him.

"No, sir."

"Okay. Let me buy you lunch." Sian got up and walked out of his office. As he passed near the fashion designing department, he stopped and looked through the glass.

"Miss Debra, you go first." He turned and walked towards the office of Felix.

Debra sighed as today she got a perfect chance to eat with Sian.

"You can't run forever." She was sure of her magic.

.............

Sian straightened up after seeing the footage while his eyes turned dark. He couldn't believe Gwen was getting bullied.

"This old bastard, how dare he bully her. I will make his life hell."

Felix looked at him with scared expression as he never saw him in such anger before.

Without saying another word, he left the office. When he entered his apartment, he found Gwen sitting on the floor while many papers were lying on the table.

"Hi, Si..an."

"Sian." Sian corrected him.

"Granny invited us for dinner tomorrow." She ignored him and gave him the new information.

Sian sat on the couch.

"Gwen, if someone bulling you at work then you can tell me."

Gwen looked at him and scratched her head.

"No, no one is bullying me. But I think director really liked me."

Sian blinked not believing what she just said.

"Oh and one more thing. I was thinking about spending the weekend with my parents."

Sian felt an unknown people in the pit of his stomach.

"And I wanted to take an off on Monday. What do you say?"

"I don't know you at work." He tried to break her hopes but Gwen chuckled.

"No, I mean. I can easily take a leave. Felix can help me and it's not a big deal. I think, I should go. I miss mom and dad. I will pack my stuff then."

She quickly got up and walked towards her room while Sian knitted his brows. She didn't ask his permission neither she informed him. She announced her plan as they were nothing.

She was treating him like a friend.
