Ester, let’s call it the origin of the life we sought…
It's been two months since everything. Everything is pretty much normal. Our life came back on track. It's like the solace a soldier receives after coming home from a very long quest.
The serenity rushed in me, I could close my eyes without the fear of any ravage, the last ounce of my anguish ended and there's nothing which can go wrong now.
Everything is perfect. I have found my path, the angel who will guide my path. There are no more thorns, each step is now taken under the path of silk towards the desirable life I dreamed of.
I am thankful for Ester. If it wasn't for her this would never be possible. I never thought a day would come where I can take a breath of peace.
She gave me hope, stood by my side in my hardest time to share my pain. I am thankful for the fate which brought her to me.
She is my blessing, her coming in my life is no less than an exquisite angel descending for me.
Her determination to love me, the power of her undying love and delusions brought me close as we met and turned our bond into a perfect bond forged with undying love and delusion.
The more I think about it, the more my love for her increases.
Today is Sunday so I woke up early and prepared breakfast for us. I want to spend every second with her, to create memories we never had time for.
To sing the songs of love we always wanted to. To live the life we craved.
I went to our room and saw Ester sleeping peacefully. I smiled and sat beside her. I removed the hairs falling on her face and leaned in as I whispered in her ears, "Wake up..."
Ester being a heavy sleeper, my sweet cooking didn't have any affect on her. I chuckled and shook her, "Ester, wake up."
Again, no reply. I sighed and slid my hands inside her shirt and tickled her.
She burst into laughter, her eyes shot open, she quickly moved back and was about to fall from the bed but I held her back.
"Morning, My Sapphire Goddess." I kissed the tip of her nose and helped her to sit up.
She yawned and said groggily, "Why did you wake me up so soon?"
"I made breakfast for us so I thought I would wake you up." I said, setting her shirt which was hanging from her shoulder.
She hummed and put her head on my lap, "Desmond..." Ester called me. I looked at her, stroking the side of her face tenderly.
"Yes?"
"I am so happy." She smiled, holding my hand. "Me too." I replied. "I am talking about the baby.." She giggled. Yes, she is four months pregnant and I can barely control my exhilaration.
"I am referring to both. Our baby and redemption." I whispered, brushing my nose against hers.
"There are no more boundaries. Neither yours nor mine." She sat up and hugged me.
She kissed my cheek, "I shall go and fresh up. Until then, Make mango juice for me. Love you." She chuckled and left.
"I already did." I said.
"Thanks." her voice came from the bathroom. I shook my head and waited for her to get ready.
She tied her hair in a side bun but I walked up to her and opened it, letting her hair fall. "I like them this way." I winked, taking a hold of her hand and walking out.
She giggled and we began to have breakfast.
"Ester.." I called her. She hummed, motioning me to continue as I began to say.
"Well. I have thought about giving you a surprise but then I thought everyone gives surprises, how about we do something together?" I suggested.
She smiled radiantly when she heard it and asked, "What do you want to do?"
"I thought about it a lot and in the end came up with nothing." She narrowed her eyes at me, "Really?" She asked.
I sighed, "No. I thought about something stupid and less romantic." I frowned.
"Tell me. We can make it exciting and romantic." She grinned.
"How about we have a barbecue in the garden? I know it's a very stupid idea. Leave it. We will do whatever you want."
I put my hand in the air to shrug it off.
"Okay. So we will do whatever I want." Ouch. She held her chin and was lost in thoughts, "Hmm... What should we do?" She mused and then chirped.
"We will have barbecue in the garden." She said excitedly.
My mouth gaped, I looked at her as a smile came to my lips and I shook my head. "You are unbelievable." I said to myself.
"What?" She asked.
"Nothing. Whatever you wish, My Sapphire Goddess."
"It is a very long nickname." She chuckled. "I love your eyes, shining with hope all the time .This made me want to lose myself in it." I said sincerely, staring intensely at her.
She blushed and mumbled a 'thank you'. I stood up and pinched her cheeks.
"Okay then. Let's get ready for it. We are going shopping." I offered her my hand. She took it and we went shopping.
"By the way, Desmond." Ester called me, looking at the chips. "Yeah?"
She turned to me and asked, "What happened to Henry?"
"Oh, him. He couldn't bear the fact he lost. He has serious mental issues. He is in the mental asylum now. He is mentally unstable." She shivered upon hearing it.
"Scary." She whispered.
"He got what he deserved." I said bitterly.
"I know. You reap what you sow." She said, shrugging her shoulders.
"I guess so.." I trailed off. "Anyways we are here to get meat not chips." I said.
"I want them." She smiled brightly.
"Okay.." I chuckled. And after buying a lot of junk food we came home only to realize we forgot to buy the main thing- meat.
We laughed as I went to get it again while she prepared for other things.
In the evening, Ester wore my shirt and her shorts. I watched her from afar, looking so beautiful and cheery. Whenever I look at her, the benediction fills me up.
I cannot believe I have her in my life, I cherish her more than my life. My love, my happiness, my everything starts with her.
"Don't stand there and set up the grill!" Ester shouted at me.
"Okay... Okay!" I laughed a little and went close to her. She prepared the batter and marinated the meat.
"Damn, look how sexy it is." Ester said, referring to meat. I laughed when I heard it. "Of all things you find it sexy."
"Yeah... I would love to eat it." She chuckled. "Then this coal must be hot." I joked. "It is." She winked.
"You know what I find seductive?" I smirked, turning to her.
"Me. I know." She replied nonchalantly.
I looked at her in disbelief, she complimented the meat with so much enthusiasm and now when I talk about her she is being so casual. I exhaled and shook my head.
I smiled and comprehend to the background music,
"Thank you."I looked at Ester being a hopeless romantic person. She stopped, a crimson spread across her cheeks along with a shy smile.
She slowly raised her gaze and met mine, looking at her in eternal fondness, "I truly meant it." I said earnestly. She smiled bashfully and lowered her head.
"Thank you."
We both then turned away. We grossed ourselves in our work and after a few minutes Ester said, "Done. Let's cook it. Desmond, go and get the steak from the kitchen."
I nodded and got it from the kitchen. Ester sat on the chair and put her leg over the other, "Cook it, Dear Husband." She smiled.
