CHAPTER 13

=-Lucy’s POV=-

It happened so fast and with such force. I had unknowingly rubbed the area where I had fallen, and my hands had frozen near his crotch.

Of all places where my hands would land, why should it be his private area? I groaned in total embarrassment, especially when I caught him smirking toward me.

“Is it your first time?” He inquired.

“Mmmm,” I mumbled my response because I really didn’t know what to say. Should I tell him the truth that I had wide experience with men?

I was contemplating whether to admit the truth or not, but then, I realized it would make at a disadvantage!

“Never mind. You don’t have to answer that, Lucy.”

On the other hand, he smirked at me for being surprised by accidentally touching his manhood. Who wouldn’t be surprised?

He couldn't complain, so after a brief silence, he simply smiled. Then he frowned and looked at me.

"I just realized your eyes are bluer than the sky," he remarked.

"What exactly do you mean?"

"I just know someone with eyes like yours," he replied, but his tone was off. His voice sounded sad, as if he was missing someone.

"A woman, for sure," I said, a bitter taste on my tongue, and my stomach churned at the thought of him liking someone else even though he was married to me.

“Yes. Her name is Amber," he told me, but he quickly realized his error and zipped his mouth shut.

“Amber. What a lovely name for a maid," I mumbled, but then I remembered the maid.

I knew she was just a maid, a woman of low birth status, but she bothered me, especially when I remembered she had blue eyes.

I saw them after the Alpha's coronation when I had coffee with him at the pavilion.

"However, I am certain that my eyes looked different from hers.”

"Do you have a thing for women with blue eyes?"

"You are correct. Your eyes are bright and cheerful, and I like your freckles. They looked cute on your cheeks, especially on your nose, dear."

When he mentioned my freckles, I became self-conscious about them. It was one of my flaws, but Alpha Jacob openly admitted to it.

"Do you think you'll be able to handle the thing you accidentally touched earlier?"

I blinked several times in an attempt to process his question, and then my mouth gaped open as I realized the true meaning of his words.

"It's massive but I am sure I will be able to manage!"

Then he burst out laughing at my remark. Why?

"Did I say something incorrectly?"

"I thought you will be scared,” he added, but when he saw my worried expressions, he continued, "Don't worry. I promise to be gentle with you. I will not hurt you, my darling, and I assure you, you are going to love it."

I could only bite my bottom lip while staring at his mouth, and he probably heard my heart's inner cries. When he mentioned I would be enjoying our union, I felt the tingling sensation just below my abdomen.

When he got closer to my face, I just closed my eyes and waited for him to grab my lips once more.

I couldn't stop thinking about him kissing me, and he also promised to be gentle with me. I had nothing to be concerned about.

“Later. For the time being, they are waiting for us. Come one, we have to hurry," he said as he moved away from me.

I was too stunned to speak for a moment, so I just stared at him. He was clearly playing with me, but I couldn't bring myself to ask him.

“Why?” To satisfy my curiosity, I ended up asking.

"We'll do it at home," he assured me, and I nodded.

Then, without warning, he accelerated his car, and I screamed in surprise.

I glared at him, but he didn't even bother slowing down!

The journey had been exhausting, and I had no idea how many times I had dozed off.

When he woke me up, I rubbed my eyes and became disoriented for a moment.

"Where am I?" I wondered as I looked around.

"Welcome to our home, my dear," he said with a smile.

The first thing I noticed about the location was the numerous square towers that pierced the sky.

I was back in Dark Furs, but this time something felt different. Was it because I was now his Luna rather than just an invited guest?

"I thought we have guests waiting for us," I reminded him after recalling his words at the church.

"I lied," he admitted. "I know you wouldn’t come with me if I wouldn’t tell you a lie,” he explained, as if his explanation would make me feel better!

In disbelief, I snorted!

"Why do you have to lie about celebrating our union here? Why did you make me believe that a crowd was waiting to cheer upon us?”

What a jerk, I thought.

When I was alone, I realized that I made a great mistake in marrying Alpha Jacob. He was a man whose heart was as cold as ice, and that kind of man could never make me happy. Hopefully, he would be excellent in bed, then, maybe, I could forgive him for ignoring me on our wedding night.

While lying in bed, alone in a new environment, I felt like crying. If only I had no pride left, I would call my family to take me back home. If only I could eat my own words when I said that he's my happy pill, I wouldn't hesitate to tell my father about his indifference.

Then, there would be chaos in Dark Furs Pack. As their new Luna, I couldn't allow it to happen, even if it would mean sacrificing my own happiness.

But I wasn't someone who was good at putting other's interests first. Then, I snorted.
