Chapter Umbrella Man

"I don't get it."

I turned to Olivia who now seemed confused looking at the students who were busy setting up the stage.

"What do you mean?"

He snorted and his eyes narrowed. This girl is crazy. All of a sudden it's really flipping.

"This whole university thing," she answered after seconds.

"If only we could finish all the lessons so we can go on vacation early."

I was shaken by what he said. I mean she has a point. But is there anything else we can do? I fanned myself because the hot sunlight made me sticky. I hate physical activities. I jug my hydro flask and fanned myself, then suddenly I remembered something.

"I'm going out like this?" I turned to Erato.

The button of my blouse burst. I was sweating profusely because of what we both did. I still can't get into my head how we managed to do it here. We almost got caught! He smirked while fixing his self. I can also see his sweats. He didn't even say anything. While I'm rummaging my bag, I got my hydro and drank on it.

It's drying! It's hot! I was surprised when he snatched it from me and unexpectedly he drank from it, then poured a little of his polo. My eyes widened. I didn't have to answer the question in my mind because when we went out and someone saw us, I saw how the rain is starting to pour outside. I suppressed my smile. Geez. I hate physical activities, yeah? But if it's just the two of us getting stuck together, it's okay? I want more!

"But this is great still. My block mates are bored." Olivia grabbed my attention again.

"You just miss me," I laughed. She pouted.

"Let's hang out?" I rolled my eyes at her.

Does he really know nothing else to do? Well, I'd like that as well, but based on the context of our conversation, it seems like that's the only answer to his bored life.

"Not now Olivia. I'm busy with our booth." my reason And one more thing, Erato and I's grace period is about to end.

I don't want to waste every moment we both have.

"Damn. That's right! I have to go. We have a meeting for the booth. Bye! Muah."

I watched her in awe while she walked out like a bouncing ball. I just shook my head while continuing to fan myself. I stayed at one of the tables on the side of the open court. We stayed here because the trees provide shade from the high sunlight. It was also windy so I stayed first.

The meeting is later so it's fine if I stay a little longer. I am bored. I want to take a nap but it's too bad here. I don't even want to go back to the car because the parking lot is far away. I only slept a little last night, of course we all know the reason why. I yawned for a couple of times. I forced myself to wake up by watching the students with what they were doing for the upcoming university week. I yawned once again but I covered my mouth immediately when a guy appeared in front of me.

My eyes widened in fractions.

"Noah?" His wearing his usual boy next door smile.

He's wearing casual clothes while a familiar lace of ID on his neck. It has AD's name on it. His posture is also clean, how I always see him. His pale skin is complimenting him well, I must admit.

"Glad you still remember me." he smiled.

"Why would I forget you?" I said with a hint of amusement. He smiled and put a yogurt drink in front of me Without saying a word, he opened the yogurt drink that was meant for him. My eyes narrowed as I stared at him.

"Why are you here?" I asked.

"Am I not allowed to be here?" he asked with sarcasm.

I rolled my eyes with a ghost of a smile on my face. Sarcastic huh? He presented an open yogurt drink in front of me. I looked at him but he just ignored it as he opened his and I drank from it. So I guess this is mine huh?

"So why are you here?" I asked again. His brows shot up.

"Someone just visited." It's my time to raise a brow now.

"Who? Your girlfriend?" His lips protruded.

"Why are you curious?" I chuckled without humor. I rolled my eyes again to torment him. All right. I don't want him to assume anything. I thought it was different. Boys will be boys huh?

"You're rude," he shouted. I ignored him and drank the yogurt he gave me.

"Where's my umbrella?" I stopped and looked up at him. I stared at him for a few seconds thinking about what he was saying, but in the end I also remembered.

"I gave it to the boy. I didn't know you would take it," I answered. He nodded, he stopped as if thinking. "You owe me one then." It shrugs. My eyes widened, not because I liked what he said but because I was a bit bored and annoyed.

"I owe you one? Why? Did I order you to lend it to me? Didn't you come voluntarily?" He chuckled at my response, it turned into a small laugh as he pointed to my face. I looked at him in response. What is wrong with this man?

"You're really mean, aren't you? I thought you're friendly, based on what I hear from you."

"Jokes on you. You only believe what you hear." He laughed again. "But anyways, it's just an umbrella for goodness sake. I'll give you five more."

"Whoa~" It will tease me even more. I kept laughing as I hit him but he immediately calmed down. I snorted and sat down properly again. I need to be lenient. I don't know this man. I cleared my throat and fixed my hair.

"I'm serious though. I don't have an umbrella with me right now, it's in the car. But I can buy you one in exchange for that umbrella." I said.

"Hmm-hmm," he shook his head. I frowned.

"The village umbrella has sentimental value. You can't replace that." I look at him, slightly annoyed.

"Then, why did you lend it in the first place?"

"Because I thought you would return it?" I let out a deep breath because of the philosophy of this one.

"Then fine. If you think I owe you something then how can I change it when the umbrella can't be changed? Come on, just give in. Do you need it now? Then, I'll ask my driver to buy it, give me your number and I'll text you so he can give it to you." I explained and quickly swiped the cellphone.

"Oh miss. Is that your style to ask for my number?" I stopped. I look at him with a hint of disgust and a bit dumbfounded. I realized that he is very stupid and an asshole.

"I am engaged, FYI." I'm late.

"Are you?" He asked seriously and a little surprised. I was so sick that I stood up to leave him alone. I was surprised when he grabbed my cell phone and typed his number on it. He handed my phone back with a sweet smile on his face. I don't know whether to be insulted or annoyed by that smile of his.

"You don't need to buy a new one. Text me when you need me. I'll think of another way for you to get back." He stood. I watched him.

"You're leaving, aren't you? You just went downstairs. Your skin is red from the heat. I'll go first." That's all he said and left the table. All that was left was me and the waste of his yogurt drink and my stupid look while holding the cellphone.

I looked at the name on the screen. Noah my friend I rolled my eyes and shook my head. Friend? Then it seems like I don't have normal ones.
