Chapter 15: Devastating Victory

"Are you seeking to become my enemies?"

Xia'er spread her wings, gazing at the densely packed Bullywug warriors before her. In an instant, an intangible killing intent permeated the air. "Submit, or die!"

Her voice was slightly low, yet it carried supreme majesty, like muffled thunder rolling through the oppressive air, imbued with the unique oppressive aura of dragonkind.

Even though she knew the other party likely couldn't understand complex Common Tongue, the killing intent and absolute power contained within her words had already been clearly conveyed.

"Gugua! Gulugua!"

Frog King Matulas responded with sharp, piercing croaks. He raised high the bone knife in his hand, which was inlaid with a few inferior pearls, pointed it at Xia'er, and then fiercely slapped his own mucus-covered chest.

The surrounding Bullywug warriors also began to clamor, emitting a cacophony of meaningless croaks and gurgles.

Although fear was still clearly visible in their muddy yellow eyes, the false courage brought by numbers and the instinctive rage at their 'home' being invaded temporarily overwhelmed their primal fear of the great dragon.

"Oh? Refusing to submit?"

Xia'er didn't understand the Bullywug language, but she could discern the meaning from this noisy chorus of croaks.

They refused to submit.

"Hmph."

A disdainful snort erupted from Saga's nostrils.

These inferior frog-men, did they really think they were something special?

"Gugua!"

At that moment, Frog King Matulas's sharp croak rang out again.

In an instant, over fifty Bullywug warriors moved in unison. Their rough, webbed claws strained as they hurled a dense barrage of crude spears, each tipped with sharp fish bones or polished stone flakes, and several barbed fishing nets woven from tough seaweed towards the direction of Xia'er and Saga, all upon the Frog King's command.

For a moment, spear shadows fell like locusts, and fishing nets descended like curtains.

However, this all-out assault in the eyes of the Bullywugs seemed like mere child's play to Xia'er and Saga, the two true dragons.

Xia'er and Saga didn't even need to deliberately dodge. With an elegant flap of their dragon wings, they rose a few meters higher. The spears and nets, carrying their feeble force, passed harmlessly beneath them, not even qualifying to touch their dragon scales.

Why are dragons the world's top-tier race?

One of the most core reasons is that dragons can fly!

Other flying creatures, in terms of basic attributes like strength, are completely no match for dragons. Flying magical creatures of the same level, like Griffons or Giant Eagles, would only end up as a meal on a dragon's plate.

And those ancient ground-dwelling races whose physical strength can rival a dragon's cannot fly. They can only watch helplessly from the ground as dragons, holding air superiority, flaunt their power.

As for this Bullywug tribe...

Their number of Bullywug warriors was considerable. If Xia'er chose close-quarters combat, she could still win, but she would inevitably lose a few scales and get stabbed by those spears a few times. Although there was a racial advantage, Xia'er was, after all, still a young dragon.

But now, all she needed to do was flap her wings and soar high, and these Bullywugs could do nothing to her.

And Xia'er could freely toy with and assault the Bullywugs at will.

The ability the Bullywugs were most proud of was their amphibious nature. If they couldn't defeat an enemy on land, they could jump into the sea to save themselves.

Unfortunately, Green Dragons and Black Dragons develop comprehensively across land, sea, and air. In the water, Green Dragons and Black Dragons are also extremely fast!

From the moment they made an enemy of Xia'er, the Bullywug tribe had already lost any hope of victory.

"Gugua."

Matulas's clamoring abruptly ceased.

His bulging yellow eyes were filled with bewilderment and what seemed like incredulous fear.

His proud warriors were so utterly powerless before absolute aerial dominance!

However, just as Matulas was in despair, Xia'er suddenly moved.

Her massive emerald-green dragon body sharply pulled in its wings. Like a falcon locking onto its prey, she dove with astonishing speed towards the location of Frog King Matulas!

A colossal shadow instantly blotted out the sky above the Frog King's head, carrying a terrifying, mountain-crushing pressure!

Although the emerald-green dragon was only a little over six meters long, with her wings spread, she seemed to blot out the sky and sun!

Gazing at the figure of this emerald-green dragon, while fear flashed in Matulas's eyes, seeing the Green Dragon actually diving down filled his heart with a surge of delight. He felt he had found his chance!

As long as this Green Dragon dared to land, she would be surrounded by his Bullywug warriors.

Enough ants could bite an elephant to death!

"Gua!"

Matulas let out a desperate battle cry, mustering all the strength in his muscles. Gripping the crude bone knife tightly with both hands, he raised it high. The muscles in his hind legs tensed, ready to deliver a heroic slash with all his might at this arrogant dragon the moment she landed!

The Bullywug warriors around him were also inspired, screeching as they closed in, attempting to swarm forward when their leader created the opening.

However,

Xia'er's target was never to land and engage in a melee!

Only inferior drakes would wallow in the muck, engaging in close combat with these lowly races.

At the very last moment of the dive, just as she was about to touch the ground and was less than ten meters above Matulas's head, Xia'er's diving posture abruptly changed!

Those powerful dragon wings, in the split second before impact, suddenly snapped open to their full span on either side!

No longer in a streamlined, acceleration posture, but like the suddenly unfurled curtain of death!

"Pshhh-shi-shi!"

Accompanied by a chillingly dense hissing sound, the tiny spray pores along the edges of Xia'er's wings instantly opened!

The dark green venom was no longer just one or two streams like during training. It was like a suddenly unleashed downpour, transforming into a thick, viscous poison mist covering an area several meters ahead, precisely and directly drenching Frog King Matulas, who was raising his knife ready to fight!

"Sss-gua-aooww!!!"

A shrill, agonized scream instantly tore through the island's tranquility!

Matulas never dreamed in his wildest dreams that Xia'er's attack would arrive in this manner!

The raised bone knife was instantly corroded by the venom, sizzling and emitting acrid white smoke, rapidly losing its shape.

Even more terrifying was that venom, imbued with intense corrosive properties, splashed onto Matulas's gray-green, slimy skin like scalding hot oil!

"Zzzla... zzzla..."

The horrifying sound of corrosion, accompanied by the scorched smell of burning flesh, instantly spread.

"Gua! Gua! Gua!"

Matulas's head and upper body instantly became a bloody, mangled mess. His mucus evaporated, and his skin rapidly turned black under the venom's erosion before festering. The excruciating pain made him writhe his body madly, emitting continuous howls of agony.

The natural immunity and defensive capabilities of the Bullywugs were as fragile as thin paper before an attack of this magnitude!

And at the very moment Matulas lost all ability to resist due to the intense pain, the remaining momentum of Xia'er's dive had not dissipated.

That massive body covered in hard scales, shimmering with a jade-green luster, carrying the tremendous kinetic energy from the dive, slammed down onto the ground!

Her colossal foot claws, with mountain-crushing precision, landed squarely and mercilessly on the already bloody and mangled back of Frog King Matulas!

"CRACK!"

A clear sound of bone breaking rang out.

"Urgh... guh..."

Matulas's agonized scream turned into a bloody gurgle. His entire body was firmly stomped into the cold gravel and mud, unable to move.
