Leah immediately ran towards Alpha Brandon. She looked at Amoux, who was watching her like a hawk.
“Amoux, please carry him to the bedroom!” She shouted, which Amoux immediately obeyed. She was panting too hard when her three Betas came to her. She even saw her cousin and gritted his teeth.
“Don't eat anything here. I want you to take Anaya right now!” She used her Alpha tone. She noticed that Anaya's family wasn't in the party hall. He didn't even see the Lycan with his Luna. She tried to maintain her composure.
She felt that it was not only Alpha Brandon who needed her help.
“Adam, and Karen, I want you two to search for Lycan Hector. And, Almera, I want you to locate Anaya.” She commanded. She gnashed her teeth in so much anger that she felt. She turned around when Charlotte started sobbing like a kid.
“Charlotte, I want you to stay with Alpha Brandon as long as he isn't OK.” She added.
“Leah, please tell me. I don't want him to die!” Charlotte panicked. She tapped her shoulders as she was trying to comfort her.
“Trust him. He almost died, but he's still alive.” Leah uttered. She remembered how Alpha Brandon got stabbed.
She watched her Betas coming out to the party hall. She didn't know what the Lycan went through, but she thought something terrible had happened to him.
“I already put him on the bed,” Amoux informed her. She nodded to her, and she was about to go upstairs when Amoux held her hand.
“If you use your healing ability, you might die. Think about the baby.” Leah closed her eyes when she found the worry in his voice.
“I won't die, Amoux. I will be alright.” She replied. She tried to hide her fear; she was scared that she might die after she used her healing ability, but what about Alpha Brandon?
“Leah, please, I don't want to lose you.” Amoux pleaded, but she turned her back to him. She clenched her fist when she realized that Anaya was doing it because she thought that the disease was inside her body.
She moved closer to Alpha Brandon. He was unconscious, and she placed her hand on his chest. She needed to do this; she didn't need to be scared.
“Adam, I'll do what I need to,” she said, using the mind link.
“Leah, you don't need to sacrifice yourself. You don't need to do this. Why don't we ask for our grandmother's help?” Adam suggested as she closed her eyes.
She slowly let the energy come out into her body, and when she saw the light coming into Alpha Brandon's body, her nose started bleeding. She coughed, and blood was coming out into her body.
She gasped when she couldn't appropriately breathe. She felt her heart clench when a lot of energy entered her thin body.
“Leah!” Amoux shouted outside the door. He felt his heart clench, and he almost couldn't breathe appropriately. He knew that Leah wasn't alright inside the room.
“Damn it, open this damn door! Leah!” He kept yelling and almost broke the door. He touched his chest when the pain was going too bad.
“Leah, please, don't do this! What about me? What about our baby?” He whispered as he tried to break the door. His eyes moistened, and his tears slowly came out into his eyes.
Leah felt her eyes water, and she started to cry. She couldn't control the energy coming into her body, and her body trembled as she continued spitting blood.
As soon as Alpha Brandon gasped, she fell on the floor, which made her head hit on the floor. She slowly closed her eyes when she saw Amoux shouting for help. She continued coughing blood, and her nose resumed to bleed.
“A-Amoux, I love you.” She mumbled before she slowly closed her eyes. She felt her body lifting.
Adam ran toward them, but he was too late to stop Leah for what he was doing. He gritted his teeth and took Leah's body away from him.
“What are you doing? I'm her mate!” Amoux growled, but Adam didn't flinch because he wasn't afraid of the Lycan in front of him.
“It's your future wife who did this in the first place! I don't want to see you with Leah ever again.” Adam shouted in madness. He shut his eyes tightly when he saw that Leah had a lot of blood on her clothes.
“You don't have any right to tell me this! She's my mate!”
“I have because I'm her legal relative. She changed everything and put me as her only relative. You are maybe her mate, but you don't mark each other.” Adam turned his back, but Amoux was too persistent. He felt his heart was going to split when he peeked at Leah's bloody face.
Charlotte was dumbfounded when she saw Leah carried by Adam, and she saw that Alpha Brandon was excellent.
She sobbed when she realized that maybe Leah had sacrificed her life for Alpha Brandon. She hugged Alpha Brandon too tight; he let her cry on her shoulders when Leah was taken away by her cousin.
“L-Leah.” Alpha Brandon stuttered. He hugged Charlotte tight and shook his head. He knew that Leah was a fighter, and he knew that she was alright in the end. How many times did she escape death?”
Almera was crying; aside from that, she didn't see Anaya anymore. She blamed herself because of what Leah experienced. She moved closer to her, and she tried to check her pulse.
“No! Bitch, I don't want you to die!” She started to panic. She quickly pumps her chest, and Adam stomps on the floor. Kairo was silent when he saw how his mate mourned her friend.
“Leah. No! This is not funny!” Almera screamed.
“She's dead,” Adam informed her. Almera cried in agony as she tried to smash everything that she got. She fell on the floor while her mate was comforting her in her behind.
“No! She's not dead! I want her to be alive right now. Adam, do something!” She grabbed Adam's collar and yelled at him.
Amoux felt his world collapse when he heard Leah wasn't alive anymore. He felt his heart crash as his tears came out into his eyes. He howled loudly, and they all heard how the werewolves mourned Leah's death.
“Leah wouldn't be brought back alive even if you punched my fucking mate, Almera.” Karen tried to stop Almera, but she received a deathly glare from her.
“Why don't you kill your slut sister? It's your family's fault that I lost someone again.” Almera gnashed her teeth. She hugged Leah's body and began whipping like a child. She had a lot of plans for their friendship; she dreamed that she would be the one who would die first because she couldn't accept it if she saw how Leah would die. She doesn't want to witness it.
“You shouldn't blame my mate, Almera. If she had known their plans, I know she would do everything to stop them!” Adam tried to defend Karen when he was her hurt expression.
“I don't care about it. It's her family's fault! What did Leah do to your family? I swear to the Moon Goddess's name that once I see your slutty sister, I will skin her alive. I will make her suffer, and I will make her die slowly in my hands!”
“Then, you should try to find her. Do you think that I will stop you from doing that? Almera, I treated you as my sister; I don't understand why you're blaming me.” Almera didn't say anything. She embraced Leah's corpse.
“If you want my forgiveness. Then, you should bring your relatives in my hands, Karen. I want to kill them.” She mumbled. Her tears fell more as she closed her eyes on Leah's body.
At the Red Moon Pack, all members were mourning their Alpha's death. They all didn't eat or drink and started crying as if they were trying to plead with the Moon Goddess to revive their Alpha.
Amoux was staring at Leah's coffin; he kneeled in front of it and didn't stop crying. He heard Leah's words before she died. He's hurt to listen to those words coming into her mouth.
“Amoux, your father needs you,” Luna whispered. She acted like she was mourning but felt happy that she had removed Leah from his son's life.
“Luna, I want to see my mate at the end of her funeral.” Amoux was pleased. Adam and Karen found his father unconscious. There's a giant wound on his head, which makes him not wake. He fell on the cliff, and he didn't know everything.
“Amoux, we understand that you need to see your mate. But what about the coronation? You're supposed to be the next Lycan King.” Gabriel butted in their conversation. His eyes sparked when he gazed at Leah's coffin.
“I don't understand why you all need me to become the Lycan King. My father isn't dead.” Amoux breathed out. He was trying to maintain his calm, and he acted like he didn't know about their intentions.
“Darling, the Nightwalkers need you. Aside from that, your father will be going to our pack to talk to us.” Luna was about to touch his hand when he quickly avoided it. He was secretly disgusted that he had a mother like her. He thought that he was too lucky to have her as his mother.
“We should inform Anaya's parents about the sudden mating ceremony. You need someone beside you.” Luna suggested. She didn't mind if Amoux lost his mate. She thought Amoux could change any woman he loved after he got the throne.
She felt excited that she would be the King's mother. She will get more power if she uses Amoux for her benefit.
“I don't even know that you're too sensitive, Luna. Did you see me mourning for my mate, and now you want me to marry Anaya?”
“It's part of the rules, Amoux. You need to marry Anaya before you inherit the throne. Why don't you do that? At first, it's all that you wanted.” Luna couldn't stop herself from getting irritated by her son's behavior. She thought that what was essential to Amoux was only the throne. She didn't understand why he acted like she was trying to force him.
She didn't want her efforts to be thrown away as nothing. She did everything for her son; she even killed Richelle's and her husband's son to remove the hindrance, the great hindrance to having him on the throne.
“Luna, we should understand Amoux. He's mourning his loss, and Hector is still unconscious. Maybe, it's too hard for him to accept everything.” Gabriel smiled at Amoux. He tried to act as his father. He didn't see how Amoux scowled when he heard his words for him.
“I thought that you didn't want Leah. I thought Anaya was your mate, Amoux.” Luna acted like she was sad. She worked like she wiped something on her eyes despite no tears.
“Luna, I will be a Lycan King soon. I want to let myself mourn my mate; please give me some time to think about it.” He coldly said. He left them without even looking back at them. He didn't see how Luna changed her expression while Gabriel smirked.
“I need Amoux to get the throne; I don't want Hector to get awakened anymore,” Luna mumbled. She didn't mind if someone might hear her. She knew everyone was scared of her because she was the upcoming Lycan King's mother.
“He won't be awakened because I will do everything to kill him after Amoux gets the throne. I don't want anyone to suspect us. Aside from that, they're still investigating everything.” Gabriel caressed her back, which stunned her when she felt her body slowly getting hot.
“I want to fuck you on Hector's bed, honey. I want him to hear you moan while he's about to die.” Gabriel whispered, which made her more excited. She giggled, and she didn't see that Amoux was secretly glaring at them after he heard what Gabriel said to his mother.
He felt disappointed because he still hoped that his mother was innocent and that maybe it was Gabriel's fault for what happened to Lycan Hector.
“Oh, I will love that. I want him to hear my plea when your fucking me. I wanted him to know how angry I was toward him. I will make him suffer once my son inherits the throne.” Amoux silently left them. He went to Leah's pack, and he didn't see her Beta. He felt sad that he didn't spend much time with Leah. He hoped that Leah was still by his side and comforting him.
He walked to the bedroom that he occupied. He stopped when he heard something.
“How long will we hide everything, Leah?” His forehead creased when he heard Adam mentioning Leah's name. He thought that Adam might be going crazy after he lost his cousin. He didn't even eat anything, and he didn't even talk to his mate.
“Almera kept blaming my mate. I don't want her to experience this. She isn't eating anything.” Adam continued. He heard a noise coming into his bedroom.
“She hated Karen too much. However, that's part of our plan. I want to know how long we will need to hide this. The Nightwalker was with us, and Lycan Hector was unconscious.” Amoux sniffed when he smelled a lovely fragrance coming into the bedroom.
“Let them think that I'm dead. Lycan told me to wait for more. But I want to see Almera and Karen after they burn my body.” Amoux's heart was jumping. He slowly twisted the door knob, and his mouth hung open when he saw Leah wearing her maternity dress.
