The woman stayed outside of the room. She could still hear how Anaya moaned so loudly and felt disgusted. She waved her hands, and the red rays went to her hand. She needed to make that the babies were safe once the war started.
‘Leah, I'm done. Damon quickly believes that Amoux rejected you. Unfortunately, he was having sex with the most irritated woman I didn't even know existed.” Samantha groaned. She walked towards the baby's room and glanced at the baby. They're all sleeping peacefully while Amoux's mother falls asleep to check on them.
“I'm here now. Amoux's mother is sleeping. It looks like she was trying to protect her grandchildren from them. But I want to make sure. I will use my power to ensure they will be safe once the battle begins.” Samantha used the mind link. She couldn't believe that Leah had made her agree to have a mental connection with her. She tapped each of the baby's foreheads before leaving the room.
“Are you ready? But what about your husband?” Samantha asked again. She bowed her head and slowly hid the power inside her body when Olivia passed by her.
“Samantha, he's too ready. I'm thankful that you helped us to get prepared.” Leah replied in her mind. She sighed when Olivia stared at her and examined her head to toe. Samantha understood why Leah asked for her help. It's because most people at the Nightwalker didn't even know who she was.
“What are you going upstairs? Didn't you know that a woman like you isn't allowed to go to the Lycan King's office?” Olivia crossed her arms. Samantha was trying to maintain her composure. She didn't like the idea that Olivia might get suspicious of her.
“Lycan Damon allowed me to go upstairs, madam.” Samantha tried her best to be more humble. Seeing Olivia made her want to spit on her face.
Olivia acted like she didn't understand what she answered. She gnashed her teeth when she wanted to smack her face. She needed to wait for Leah's signal.
“You are a maid in this pack, so how could Damon let you go upstairs? Are you sure that you're a helper? Or maybe, you're one of his women?” Olivia raised her eyebrow at her, which made Samantha bow her head lower.
“It's unbelievable that I'm the Lycan's, another woman. I have a husband who was waiting for me. Lycan Hector knew me.” Samantha lied. She wanted to get rid of Olivia as soon as possible.
Olivia scoffed and didn't say anything. She mockingly cocked her head and smirked at Samantha. “Why don't you bring me some water? I'm thirsty. You are the maid, so you should obey whatever I want.” Olivia laughed at her, which made Samantha clench her fist in anger. She quickly obeyed what Olivia wanted her to do. She was thankful that she had commanded her so she could do everything they had planned.
She took water and put it in the glass. Samantha took to another jag and put water on it. She waved her hands, and the water began to boil. At first, it looked disgusting, but Samantha waved her hand again, so the water returned to a familiar smell.
“This bitch! How could she order me around? Didn't she know that I'm powerful here in this world?” Samantha thought. She glanced at the glass she had and pointed her finger at it. Samantha smirked. She would make sure that Olivia would regret that she tried to demand her.
Samantha went back to Olivia and gave her the water that she had asked for. She tried around when she saw how Olivia drank the glass of water. She even heard Olivia saying how delicious the water was.
She glanced at the man who had a mask on his face. She helped Amoux change himself. “I'm done. It would help if you got Leah as soon as possible. I don't want him to think that I'm lying. He's busy with Anaya.”
Amoux nodded his head and walked out. They would start the show, and she reminded Leah what she was about to do.
Amoux ran as if he was trying to haunt Leah. He grabbed her, which made Leah shriek. “I want you to take care of yourself, Leah. I told you I didn't want something terrible to happen to you.” Leah acted like she was trying to restrain, which made the other guards follow her voice.
“Bring her to jail!” Amoux shouted, which made Leah try to fight more. She was gasping and asking for help. She tried to run but was shocked when Damon was in front of her. He was messy, like what Samantha had told her.
“D-Damon.” Leah stammered. She acted like she was surprised, and she fell unconscious as if she was too tired. Damon quickly grabbed her so she might not get lost on the ground. He frowned when he glanced at Amoux, who had a different image.
“You see Leah roaming around? Who are you?” Damon asked as he was happy that someone had taken Leah; he couldn't believe that Leah was with him again.
Samantha was panting as if she rushed to go to Amoux. She kneeled and bowed her head to the ground. “Lycan, he is my husband, and he went here to help me search for Alpha Leah.”, Samantha answered. She sighed when Damon chuckled.
“I should be thankful to your husband. If it's not for him, Leah isn't with me again.” Damon took Leah and went back to the Nightwalker. Amoux watched him walking away from him. He was more worried for Leah, but Leah trusted him, so he might need to trust him, too.
“I will make sure that she's alright. You don't need to worry about her.” They both went to the Nightwalker, and Amoux felt unhappy because of their sudden pack change. He missed his father and felt terrible that he was too weak, and he didn't even protect him from his brother.
“All of the healers were too busy waiting for our signals. They're waiting at the cave while the others await our signal to attack the front and back gates.” Samantha informed him. They started to work as regular members of the pack. They're both silent and watching every guard do their work.
“Samantha, did you think that we would win against them? I don't want to think negatively.” Amoux sighed. Of course, he wanted to win against them, not because of the throne but because it was right. He wanted to give his father justice for his death.
“We will win against them. You should try to trust your mate. She won't let us down. I know that her plans will work.” Samantha answered.
Amoux and Samantha were assigned to the old house. They both looked at each other before they fixed everything they might need.
“Are you sure it's alright for you to burn this house? I don't think that your father would be happy about this.” Samantha stated. She waved her hands and let her power do the work, which was too unfair to Amoux.
Amoux felt jealous. He thought Samantha's power was too incredible, and he wanted it too. He was gasping when he took a lot of wood. “You should do your job correctly. Damon might be furious. He didn't like that lazy bastard.”
Samantha pursed her lips and pouted, but she quickly obeyed what Amoux told her.
“Yeah, right, whatever,” Samantha replied before taking the wood with her hands. Before they left, Samantha checked everything they had prepared before they decided to go.
“Let's wait, but let's ensure we are prepared.”
–
Leah slowly woke up when she felt a hand caressing her face. She knew it was Damon, and she felt terrible that Damon loved her. That's why he made many mistakes.
“I told you, Leah, that Amoux was into your power. I found out that he stole three packs from you.” Damon whispered. Leah's heart thumped too fast. She wanted to say to Damon that everything that he told her was a lie, but she needed to stop herself because it was part of their plan.
“I'm happy that you are here. Leah, you will be my queen, and I don't mind if you already have children.” Damon obsessively muttered. Leah stopped gasping when Damon planted a soft kiss on her lips.
“I will do everything for you, Leah. I will make you my queen. All you need to do is to marry me.” Leah felt more hurt whenever she heard Damon's words. If he betrayed her, she was willing to betray him, too.
She was blaming herself because of her; Damon wasn't in his right mind. She wanted to slap herself for making Damon like this. She felt that she was responsible for Damon. All he did to her was to treat her right, but she failed to give her a chance.
She didn't understand when Damon was doing a lot for her; her eyes were only focused on Amoux.
“D-Damon.” Leah stammered. She stopped acting like she was sleeping anymore when she felt how Damon deepened the kiss he was doing to her.
Damon caressed her hair, and Leah closed her eyes. All she thought about was ending Damon's obsession with her.
“I'm glad that you're awake. I'm happy that you're okay. I'm sorry, Leah if I need to inject you with that. I'm sorry.” Damon sweetly apologized. He grabbed her waist, which made Leah more uncomfortable, but Leah acted like she wasn't affected by her touch. She needed to make Damon think she was too eager to remove Amoux from her life.
“D-Damon, you are right. I can't believe that I didn't believe you!” Leah finally acted. Her eyes were moist, and she pushed Damon away from her. “I want to be alone, Damon. I don't have anything anymore. I'm the useless Omega again.” Her voice cracked.
Damon stared at her before he embraced her behind her. Leah looked out the window, and she could see that all of the members of the Nightwalker were too busy. She avoided acting as if she was shocked when she saw Amoux looking at them. There was a fire in her eyes, but he nodded before he walked away.
‘Leah, this will be the last time I agree to your plan.’ Leah didn't let herself show some emotions when Amoux told her to use the mind link.
‘Thank you, baby. Thank you for letting me do what we plan.’ Leah replied. She felt that Damon's embrace was too tight, and she could feel that he was kissing her on her nape.
‘Don't you dare fall in love with him, Leah? Or else, I will take you out here in this pack. I'll be watching you.'
‘I won't fall in love with your cousin. I love you, Amoux.’
‘I love you, too.’ Leah tried not to smile when she heard that even though Amoux was still jealous, he did not interfere with her plans.
Leah was thankful to the Moon Goddess that Amoux finally changed. After she died because of their stunts, Amoux always made her happy and treated her like a queen. She didn't know that she would be experiencing everything. Unfortunately, before their enemies, who was the true antagonist of their love story, she couldn't be happy anymore.
“Leah, do you want to sleep? What do you think about what I told you?” Leah acted sad even though Damon was trying his best to comfort her.
“I'm sorry, Damon. I'm not in my mood. I feel I'm useless, and you don't need to marry me because of pity. Did you think your father would accept me once you told him you wanted to marry me? I don't think so.” Leah turned around, and she saw that Damon was astounded by her sudden move. She hugged him and placed her head on his chest. She smelled him and acted like she was crying.
“Did you forget that you have a mate?” Leah asked.
Damon hugged her tighter. He was pleased and thought that maybe Leah wanted comfort from a friend. He sniffed her hair, and when he smelled how pleasant her scent was, he was going to be crazy!
This is why Damon wanted her. He didn't know why Leah had a scent like this. At first, he thinks that maybe she is his mate, but it is wrong when Damon discovers that Amoux is mated to Leah.
He didn't experience this kind of smell whenever he was with Anaya. The lovely smell always made him think about their future. He knew that this was what happened to his father, too.
All of the people at the Nightwalker thought that William had a crush or secret feelings for Luna because of their closeness, but the truth was, they were close because they were plotting against Richelle and Hector.
His father helped Richelle with everything. He was obsessed with her when Richelle got pregnant by Hector. He did everything to get rid of their child.
He felt betrayed by Richelle, for he thought that Richelle would finally realize that he was with her. He's the only man who always wanted to be with her, even though he tried to please her.
“I don't care about Anaya anymore. Yeah, she's my mate, but I don't like or even love her. All I wanted was you, Leah.” Damon told her. Leah closed her eyes when she saw that Damon moved close to her. He kissed her, and she was hoping that Amoux wouldn't see what his cousin my doing to her.
Leah didn't flinch. She let Damon think that she was trying to analyze everything that he said. She wanted him to believe that he finally got victory in his hands.
Damon didn't do anything to her. He embraced her and just planted a soft kiss on her face. “I'm happy now, and I can't wait to marry you,” Damon said before leaving for their room.
“Damon, is it alright for you to make me see my children? Maybe, they will help me to make me feel unhappy.” Leah tried to make Damon see that she was forcing herself to smile. She was thankful that Samantha had helped her to act quickly.
“Okay, I will let you. After all, I will be their father. Leah, if they love you, then I will love them, too.” Damon nodded. He grabbed her hand and tightly held it. He pulled Leah out of their room and went to the baby's room.
“I'm serious when I told you I wanted you to be happy, Leah. I know you can escape from me again since Amoux finally rejected you.” Damon bid his goodbye to her before he felt her. But Leah saw that Damon had assigned two Beta guards to check on her.
Leah glanced at Luna, who was still sleeping despite her clothes. She watched the babies, who were asleep. She caressed their faces as she felt tears slowly forming in her eyes.
“Who are you? What are you doing to them?” Luna quickly stood up, which made Leah turns around.
“L-Leah, what are you doing here? Where is my son?” Luna couldn't believe that Leah was in front of her. She tried to look around, for she was hoping that she might see Amoux.
“He took the three-pack from me. He blamed for the death of Lycan Hector.” Luna frowned after she heard what Leah had told her. She didn't know that Lycan Hector was dead because Gabriel told her that Hector had escaped them.
“What are you talking about? Hector isn't dead!” Luna cried and touched her chest when she felt her chest clenching.
“He died. William killed him. Amoux couldn't accept that his father died because of Damon, so he blamed me. He rejected me right now and took away my packs.” Leah repeats her words.
“You are lying. You are lying to me! I know that he is still alive!” Luna shouted in anger. She felt that she, the Moon Goddess, resented her chance to talk to Hector. She wanted to apologize for every mistake that she made behind his back.
“You should ask them for what they did to your husband. He died because William killed him and took away my babies.” Luna gasped and started to sob. She was shaking her head because she couldn't accept everything ad heard.
She knew that sometimes, she wanted to kill Lycan Hector to give Amoux the throne, but she didn't do that. She was guilty of pushing him onto the cliff, but she finally understood that she had done something wrong.
After, Hector gave her the small notebook that she still had right now. She finally went back to her usual self. She was blind to hatred, and she couldn't believe that she trusted William too much. She thought William couldn't kill his brother because of their siblings, but she didn't know that William had an immense hatred towards her husband.
“I can't believe that William did this to me. I realized now that they couldn't tell me what happened to Hector.” Luna wiped the tears that fell on her cheeks. She gritted her teeth at the sudden anger that she felt.
“He died here. He was here when William abducted the pack, and he killed him here. Amoux witnessed everything, and Lycan Hector died in his arms.” Luna grieved for losing the man she had cherished her whole life. She was blaming herself that because of her, Lycan Hector died at his brother's hands.
“You don't need to blame yourself since it was pointless. Lycan Hector is dead, and he won't be happy that you're blaming yourself.” Leah advised her.
Luna didn't listen to her. She lay on the bed and mourned her loss. Why does, when she finally realizes her mistake, Hector dies?
She kept uttering how sorry she was for betraying him. She was hoping that Hector would hear her plead. She kept smacking her chest when it continued clenching.
“You shouldn't be like that, Luna. After what you did to him, you're acting like that. I thought you wanted him to die after you pushed him on the cliff.” She sobbed even more when she heard Leah's words. That's what she thought at first, but she was wrong. She loved Hector, and the jealousy blinded her that she felt after Richelle got pregnant.
“You shouldn't react in this way, Luna. Why don't you avenge his death? They all betrayed you. Ask them about this. But don't tell them that I told you everything.”
