The citizen square in the center of Yage City welcomed a different kind of day today.
Today, they would judge a person here.
And this person was none other than Consul Chris, who had once been revered by them as a hero and leader.
Chris, as the one being judged, was now sitting in the audience, watching people pass judgment on herself.
According to Yage City's city code, people being tried by the citizen assembly would not be directly arrested—arrest could only happen after the trial was completed.
A man in military uniform walked up to the speaking platform and began his statement.
"As a warrior of Yage City, I swear by my soul—everything I'm about to say is fact that I witnessed with my own eyes."
"Our Consul Chris made false statements in her report to the citizen assembly!"
"She deliberately exaggerated the role of the military and the problems we face in order to expand the city-state's military investment!!"
"Fellow citizens! Is our Yage City a city-state founded on military might?"
"This woman repeatedly emphasized strengthening military equipment, and for this she even dared to spend large amounts of everyone's tax money on the military rather than on the people!"

Stephen pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket.
