Chapter 14

The once familiar face contorted with uncontrollable anger, distorted by the primal instincts of her wolf form. She lunged forward, her razor-sharp teeth bared in a menacing display of aggression.

Unbeknownst to Kendall, she faced a transformed Lya, one who had tapped into the depths of her newfound power. The past Lya, weak and unawakened, had long been left behind, replaced by Lyssa, a force to be reckoned with.

"Lyssa, are you ready?" I asked Lyssa in my head, "It's game time."

With a surge of determination, I unleashed my true form, my body morphing into a majestic wolf. The seamless transition showcased my strength and agility, as I harnessed the power that had lain dormant within me.

As Kendall's wolf teeth sought their mark, my instincts kicked in, enabling me to swiftly evade the incoming attack.

Seeing my wolf form, Kendall was so shocked that she even forgot to continue her attack.

The exchange between Kendall and me, now in our formidable wolf forms, epitomized the battle of wills and resilience. Each movement was precise, a testament to the days of training and the unwavering resolve coursing through my veins.

Kendall's fury fueled her assault, while my composure and strategic thinking granted me the upper hand.

Dodging Kendall's snapping jaws, I maneuvered with grace and precision, relying on my heightened senses and agility. The clash of our wolf forms sent ripples through the air, the sound of our growls and snarls merging into a symphony of primal intensity. It was a battle that transcended the physical realm, fueled by a history of pain and betrayal.

With each deft move and evasive maneuver, I sent a resounding message to Kendall — the past could no longer define me. The painful memories and injustices inflicted upon me had forged an unyielding spirit, one that was ready to confront the demons of the past and forge a new path forward.

This was the best time for me to counterattack, and I jumped up high after building up my strength and swung my wolf claws straight down towards Kendall's head.

Kendall tried to dodge, but she was still too slow for me, and a claw slap to her face turned her back into a human.

In the midst of our entangled battle, the moon cast its ethereal glow upon the scene, illuminating the transformation taking place. Kendall's once formidable stance wavered, her ferocity fading as the realization dawned upon her.

The clash of fangs and paws represented not only a physical confrontation but a confrontation of past pain and the yearning for redemption.

Kendall's face had three scary scratches and was still bleeding. She, however, seemed to be completely oblivious to it and just looked at me in amazement, "You have your own wolf?"

The battle between Kendall and me marked a pivotal moment, one that would forever alter the dynamics within the pack.

As the dust settled and the tension dissipated, I stood triumphant, my gaze steady and resolute. The metamorphosis I had undergone represented a new chapter in my life, a testament to the strength that lies within and the transformative power of resilience.

As the pack witnessed the spectacle unfold, a newfound respect and understanding settled upon their hearts. My journey from victim to victor served as a beacon of hope, inspiring others to confront their own demons and rise above.

I did not want to continue talking to Kendall anymore and turned to leave.

"Lya!" the young girl from earlier followed again, "My name is Sun Nee."

"Hello, Sun Nee," I did not want to talk to Sun Nee either, I still remembered the way she sneaked away from me just now, she was just a normal teenage girl who was a nose of wax.

"You have your own wolf?" Sun Nee kept asking me questions as if she could not sense my rejection of her, "How on earth did you get so strong, the last time I saw you was your eighteenth birthday. Remember? At that time, you did not have your own wolf, but now, you can easily defeat Kendall. You know, Kendall is one of the strongest young female warriors in GreyStone Pack."

"Excuse me, young lady, my daughter is tired, can you wait until the wolf pack fight to ask anything?" Allora stepped in front of me, as she always did.

"Lya will be in the scramble?" Sun Nee was even more surprised, "In what capacity?"

"As the future Alpha of MoonWar." Allora replied to Sun Nee in a good mood and then said goodbye to her again.

After Sun Nee left, Allora looked at me with satisfaction in her eyes, "Well done, Lya. now that everyone knows you are not to be messed with, no one will continue to come after you."

"It better be." I replied to Allora with a smile in return.

We all knew who the words were addressed to, and Kendall was still standing in place, keeping that shocked look on her face as she watched us.

Miguel's POV

When there was a knock on the door of my room, I was choosing what I would wear at the wolf fight.

"What do you think of this one?" I asked Kai as I placed a black combat suit in front of me and looked in the mirror.

"It's pretty good." Kai said.

"Can you be serious, Kai? That's the tenth 'pretty good' you've said in twenty minutes." I angrily tossed my battle suit back into the closet.

"There's really no way I can tell the difference between this one and the last one, or even tell you how it differs from the first one you tried."

"This one has my name embroidered on the sleeve! The last one did not, and the buttons on this one are gray and the last one was black." I argued with Kai unconvincingly, these clothes were obviously very different, and I could not understand why Kai was so retarded.

"Okay, I admit I am not that meticulous." Kai said helplessly, "But why did you spend so much time on picking out your clothes? I remember the first few Wolf Pack fights, you only had first place in mind."

"Lya's coming too." I whispered, then blushed at Kai's mockery.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door of the room, and it sounded like the person knocking was so anxious that he even tried to push the door open and walk right in.

I threw all my clothes into the closet as fast as I could, then closed the closet door as soon as I could and sat down at my desk and pretended I was reading a book.

"Come in." I casually flipped a page of the book in my hand.

"Miguel!" Kendall pushed the door open and ran up to me, her face with three scratches that hurt at first glance, "I have something to tell you!"

Aurora and Damon also walked in behind Kendall, with Aurora holding Damon, who also had a badly bruised face.

I subconsciously moved back a little, worried about Kendall's blood flowing onto me.

Since learning about the Damon's family and Nicholas, I had deliberately stayed away from them, while silently gathering a lot of evidence that would kick Nicholas out of his position as an elder.

"Lya came back and beat up my father with MoonWar's men!" Kendall completely missed my dislike for her and sounded eager, "You must punish her properly!"

I furrowed my eyebrows, wondering why Kendall was so sure I would help her, had she always taken me for a fool?

"Yes, Miguel," Aurora echoes Kendall, "Lya is so uninformed."

I could not accept them discrediting Lya in this way, and flung the evidence I had gathered over the days directly in front of Kendall, "Why do not you explain to me what all this means before you let me punish Lya?"

Kendall's face became more and more ugly as she flipped through the information, and in the end, she could not say a word and just stood awkwardly.

"Now, I am going to kick you all out of the pack house," I declared, rising from my chair. The weight of authority and determination infused my words. "And as for punishing Lya, I am in no position to do so. She is now the rightful alpha heir to MoonWar. Even if I had the qualifications, I would not dare to impose such judgment upon her."

My men swiftly moved into action, escorting the Damon family out of my room. However, Aurora, consumed by disbelief and anger, could not accept the outcome. She let out piercing screams, accusing us all of being deceived by Lya.

Her voice echoed through the corridor, filled with frustration and resentment. It was a painful reminder of the deep-rooted divisions within our pack. But I held steadfast to my decision, knowing that Lya had earned her place and that the truth had prevailed.

As the noise subsided and the pack began to disperse, I took a moment to reflect on the challenges that lay ahead. The dynamics within our pack had shifted dramatically, and it was my responsibility to guide them through this transition.

Amidst the lingering tension, I found solace in the knowledge that Lya's ascendancy marked a new era for MoonWar. She had faced countless trials and emerged stronger than ever, proving her worth as a leader.

Ignoring Aurora the shrew, I went straight to the room of GreyStone Pack's current Alpha, my father Alfredo, with the information I had put together.

Perhaps I would not have told Alfredo everything so quickly if the Damon's family had not reached out to me.

After listening to me, Alfredo went through the information carefully and then casually put it aside.

Alfredo looked at me and asked, "What do you think should be done about this?"

"I have ordered the Damon's family out around the pack house, they flaunted it with everyone when they moved here, now having them back in that isolated house is the best punishment for the vain family. As for Nicholas, he is the elder of GreyStone Pack and should be dealt with by the Alpha."

"If you were the Alpha, what would you do?" Alfredo reached out and touched his chin.

"I would kick Nicholas out of his position as an elder and find someone more capable to replace him. There also needs to be a careful examination of all his possessions; I do not believe an elder could have such a large fortune."

Although it seems to me that Nicholas's offer to exchange Lya was very modest, for an elder of Nicholas's caliber, that would be a great deal of money.

"Very well." Alfredo's eyes showed satisfaction as he nodded gently, "Just do as you say, I'll give you the right to handle this matter."

"Miguel, you've really matured a lot." Alfredo looked at me and raised the information in his hand, "If it was you a few months ago, I do not think I would have seen such a wonderful investigative report. Nor would I have heard such a reasonable disposition."

With a humble heart, I lowered my head, acknowledging Alfredo's words of praise. It was true that his commendation was directed at me, but deep down, I understood that the transformation within me was inspired by someone else — Lya. She had come into my life and catalyzed a profound change, teaching me the invaluable lesson of humility.

Gone were the days of unchecked arrogance and self-importance. Lya's influence had guided me towards self-reflection, prompting me to reassess my actions and their impact on those around me. I began to recognize the importance of empathy, understanding, and the power of personal growth.

Lya's unwavering determination, her strength of character, and her unwavering commitment to the pack had served as a constant reminder of the kind of leader I aspired to be. Her presence had taught me to embrace vulnerability and to value the perspectives and contributions of others.

As I stood there, a sense of gratitude welled up within me. I owed a debt of gratitude to Lya for the transformative journey she had set me upon.

So, while Alfredo's praise was appreciated, I knew that the credit truly belonged to Lya. It was through her influence that I had grown, shedding the layers of my former self and embracing a more balanced and compassionate approach to leadership.

It's been almost a week since Lya and I last met, and I could not wait to tell Lya how I punished the Damon's family and Nicholas.
