Chapter 26

Chapter 26

Who Is the Hunter, Who Is the Prey?

Busy all day, just watching two clowns perform.

Originally planned to have Sherisa Noel treat me to a meal, but Lady Reina sent her home directly.

I don’t look like a bad person, at most just a yellow-haired delinquent causing a ruckus downstairs.

He pushed open the door and was met with a touching scene.

Lilith was cooking in the kitchen, wearing an apron and skillfully wielding a spatula—clearly an expert.

The happiest thing in life is coming home after work to a hot meal.

Henry turned to look at the dishes on the table, and his smiling face instantly froze.

He even doubted if his eyes were playing tricks on him.

“Yam, maca, polygonatum, ginseng, cistanche, cordyceps, deer whip, oysters, taurine, goji berries?”

He accurately listed the names of these ingredients.

Lilith in the kitchen turned around in surprise.

She hadn’t expected Henry to recognize all of them.

But it didn’t matter. From Henry’s diary, she learned that his body was weak and needed heavy nourishment.

“Dinner’s ready.”

Lilith placed the last dish on the table.

It was actually a plate of garlic chives!

Henry felt like he couldn’t breathe.

He thought that if he took one whiff, his nose might start gushing blood.

“Lilith, is today a holiday? Why so many dishes?”

“You seem weak and need extra nourishment.”

Nothing infuriates a man more than being called weak!

A man can’t admit to being incapable!

“No way, I feel like I won’t survive tonight if I eat this.”

Henry considered himself still a youth. Such heavy nourishment at a young age could be deadly.

Bang!

Lilith slammed a full bowl of rice in front of Henry, her eyes filled with threat.

It seemed Henry wouldn’t leave the dining table tonight unless he finished this bowl.

Henry took a deep breath and started shoveling rice into his mouth.

Lilith’s gaze slowly trailed down Henry’s body.

Hmm… looks like the problem will be resolved tonight.

*****

Henry noticed something was off about Lilith.

The woman’s eyes kept scanning him as if he were a pig.

Henry could only hope she didn’t have any strange fetishes, or else his safety tonight might be in jeopardy.

He took off his clothes and jumped into the bathtub Lilith had prepared.

The exhaustion of the day seemed to melt away instantly.

He leaned his head against the edge of the tub, recalling recent events.

Back in the game, he hadn’t noticed how brazen the cultists were in the town.

These guys were practically suicide squads, not caring about the consequences.

Though Henry felt no sympathy for them, he still wanted to figure out their true motives.

But tomorrow, he’d officially start classes.

Next, he needed to consider the plot of the game’s first act.

Henry remembered that the first act involved students entering the dungeon under the teacher’s guidance.

But then, news would spread of students getting injured inside.

Upon investigation, they’d find a demonized dragon had spawned there.

Subsequently, the dungeon raid would become the first act’s boss battle!

For Henry, though, he didn’t need to participate. Jessica Lewis would lead the vanguard with other students into the dungeon.

By the time players arrived, the dragon would already be at half health.

But this also highlighted Jessica’s abilities.

She truly lived up to her title as the empire’s once-in-a-century genius!

Thinking too much was bad for the brain. Henry closed his eyes, his temples relaxing as if someone was massaging them.

Wait—someone was massaging them!

Henry’s eyes snapped open, and he shot up from the bathtub in fright!

This sudden movement exposed his entire body to the air.

Before him, Lilith stood wrapped in a towel, staring directly at a certain part of him.

Henry instinctively covered himself, his expression twisting.

“Lilith, what are you doing here?”

“Isn’t it normal for a maid to bathe her master? Besides, you seemed lost in thought, so I thought I’d help you relax.”

Lilith’s towel seemed a size too small, barely managing to cover what it needed to.

Henry, still flushed from the overly nourishing meal, felt his blood rush uncontrollably.

He plunged back into the tub, his face burning with embarrassment.

But Lilith didn’t seem to mind. She stepped into the tub directly.

The already cramped space was now filled to the brim.

Henry could even feel something soft pressing against his back—like jelly, incredibly comfortable.

Lilith began scrubbing his body with a towel.

Henry felt something harden.

His abs, that is.

And Lilith, whether intentionally or not, let her hand drift lower, about to greet his little brother.

“Feels good?”

Lilith’s voice whispered in Henry’s ear.

“Lilith, this isn’t appropriate…”

“You’ve always liked this, haven’t you? From the first day we met, you’ve been leering at my chest.”

Lilith leaned her entire body against Henry, her voice laced with exhaustion.

She sounded like a overworked office worker seeking solace.

“Don’t judge me, but I have needs too. Waking up early to prepare meals, cleaning the entire house by noon, gathering intel in the afternoon, cooking dinner at night, then tucking you into bed—only then do I get any time for myself.”

Lilith spoke as if this were the most natural thing in the world.

But to Henry, it sounded like being a rich family’s maid wasn’t easy either.

Still, it wasn’t like he’d asked for this!

How was this his fault?

“Lilith, I sympathize with your struggles, but I never asked you to do any of this!”

“That’s why this is something I want to do. I just need your consent, Master.”

With that, she deliberately licked his earlobe.

Henry grimaced, clamping a hand over his nose as dizziness overwhelmed him.

He was nosebleeding!

Turns out, while he was playing the field with innocent girls, he’d overlooked the hungry wolf right beside him!

“You’re dizzy. Have some water.”

Lilith handed Henry a cup of red tea.

Henry gulped it down, soothing his throat—but since when did red tea cure dizziness?

“Wait, Lilith, what did you just give me?”

“You’re tired. Rest now. Leave the rest to me.”

Henry felt his consciousness slipping. The last thing he saw were two ripe fruits swaying before his eyes before everything went black.

“Don’t worry, I won’t tell the Young Lady. This’ll be our little secret~”

So in the end, he was the prey!
