"What is it baby?" tanong ni Pat. Hinawakan ni Alex ang kamay niya bago binuksan ang pintuan. He switched some lights.
She gasped when she saw that it's the small living room on the second floor of the house which Alex's mom wants to rent out.
"Ang ganda!" sabi niya.
Bago na ang pintura nito and pinalitan ang chandelier. May mga gamit na din like a long sofa and a plasma tv. Minimalistic ang dating which made it more pleasant to look at.
"Come baby." aya ni Alex as they descend the stairs.
He turned on lights ng nasa baba na sila. Napa-wow ulit si Pat. Ibang-iba ang hitsura ng bahay. Lalo itong gumanda. Kumpleto na din ito sa gamit although mge essential furniture lang and appliances. He led her to the dining room and kitchen.
"It's so nice baby! I am sure madali niyong mapapaupahan ito." nakangiting sabi ni Pat.
Iniharap siya ni Alex to him. He cupped her face then asked,"You really like it?"malambing na tanong nito.
She nodded.
"Anton and I did the finishing touches mula pa kahapon." sabi nito.
"May talent pala si Anton?" nakangiting sabi niya.
"Ang trabaho niya ngayon is related to computers pero interior design ang natapos niya kaya I actually trust his taste." Alex chuckled. "Wait here baby." Sabi pa nito and he walked going to the fridge.
Inikot naman ni Pat ang mata sa paligid. She likes the house's interior at madami silang good memories ni Alex dito. She smiled to herself.
"Baby.." he called.
Paglingon ni Pat, Alex is holding a bouquet of red roses.
"These are the best I can give you baby. I had to put them in the fridge para hindi malanta. Sarado na halos lahat ang flower shops na nadaanan namin ni Anton kagabi. I wanted to give you white ones sana." he said.
She took them from him. "Thanks baby. I love them! Kahit gumamela pa o water lily ang ibigay mo sa akin masaya na ako. I love you so much." she said huskily.
Alex's eyes narrowed then kissed her on the lips.
It wasn't a torrid kiss this time. It's more of a romantic one. It went on for a full minute.
Alex broke the kiss then tilted her head a little to gaze in her eyes. "Baby, I haven't proposed to you properly. I was planning to make it special but because of what almost happened to you, I had to tell you that I want us first to have a civil wedding. Definitely we will have our church wedding pero hindi na ako makakapag-hintay. I want to be with you all the time." he said emotionally.
She nodded. " I feel the same way Alex."
His face broke into a smile. She tiptoed a little to kiss his dimples on both side of his cheeks. "I love you." she said.
He took her left hand and he knelt. "Baby I like to take care of you and protect you 24/7. Ayaw ko ng maulit ang nangyari. I don’t want to feel that pain again when I thought something bad happened to you. Patricia...will you marry me?" he asked before showing her what he has in his hand.
It is a cushion-cut engagement ring! Natutop ni Pat ang bibig niya with her hand.
OMG! Kahit alam niyang magpapakasal naman talaga sila, iba iba pa din ngayon! Alex is officially proposing to her!
She felt hysterical with happiness! What a proposal! It's past 4 in the morning and she is in his undershirt and he is just in his boxer shorts. She can't help but giggle.
Kumunot ang noo ni Alex."Baby?!" he sounded a little annoyed.
Pat composed herself. Baka nga naman isipin ng nobyo niya that she's not taking his proposal seriously at magalit pa ito. Alam namang niyang napaka-moody nito. She held his hands then motioned for him to stand up and he did. He is slightly frowning.
Tumingkayad siya and wrapped her arms around his nape.Titig na titig siya sa mga mata nito.
"Mahal na mahal kita Alex. I might not be as demonstrative as you, pero I do love you so much. Sorry if it took me a while to admit my real feelings for you. I just wanted to be sure na hindi na ako masasaktan. I was really hurt when you left for the States knowing na wala akong halaga sayo. I felt so insecure that time cause I wasn't as pretty and sexy as Shelly whom you had a strong physical attraction to before."
He groaned and frowned as if saying na huwag nang ungkatin ang mga kagaguhan niya dati.
"Wait baby! I need to say all these before I give you my answer." she smiled then gave him a peck on the lips.
He sighed. His arms around her tightened to bring her closer to him habang nakayuko para salubungin ang titig niya.
"Okay baby..go on." he said throatily.
She bit the inside of her bottom lip.
"You asked me if I don't feel how much you love me. Of course I do. Like you, nagseselos din ako. Kaya minsan kung ano-ano ang ginagawa or sinasabi ko para makabawi sayo. Kahit nag-aaway tayo, hindi nababawasan ang pagmamahal ko sayo. From now on, I show you how much I love you. Really show you. Mula noon until now..ikaw lang baby. I love you so much! “
He caught his breath. His eyes are full of love for her.
"So will you marry me?" he asked again cupping her face between his hands.
Pat sexily smiled. "As if you need to ask."
"Answer my question properly baby." utos nito na medyo magkasalubong ang kilay.
She giggled. She knows that he will always be bipolar. Ang importante is magiging misis na siya ng seloso pero yummy at sweet na lalaking ito na dati niya lang pinapangarap.
"YES! I will definitely marry you Mr. Alex Llamarez."
He kissed her as if it's their last kiss .Lahat ng pagmamahal nila sa isa't-isa gusto nila parehong ipadama sa halik. It's their most passionate kiss.
After breaking it, Alex took her left hand then put on the ring .He smiled when it fitted perfectly .He kissed her hand and look into her eyes.
"This ring has been given my grandmother to my mom. My mother wanted me to give this to you as our engagement ring .She is happy that I finally found the right woman for me." he said .
"I can't explain how happy I am right now baby .I may not even deserve you cause I did a lot of stupid things in the past but I will never let you go! Tandaan mo yan.We may have problems along the way as normal couples do but separation is never an option. Mahal na mahal kita higit pa sa alam mo. I am pretty sure you know me better now so you have to put up with me. You may not be my first in many things but for me you are my first and last true love. Hindi ako mapapagod na ipakita sayo how much I love you." he added.
Malcon: 'te! taas ang kamay ko sayo! Ipasok mo sa safety deposit box yang si baby Alex mo ha? Endangered species na yan. Hindi naman sa bitter ako ha? Kumbaga natanto ko lang naman..ang mga lalake hindi vocal sa damdamin nila .Konti din ang demonstrative. Lalong iilan lang gagawin lahat para lang maipakita kung gaano nila kamahal ang babae. So girl! Iyo na ang moment na to! Ikaw na ang wagi! Bida ka eh!
"Oh Alex!" naluluhang napayakap siya dito.
They just stood like that, in a tight embrace at the middle of the dining room where they had their first dance.
"Baby..there's more.." bulong ni Alex.
She slackened her hold then with a raised brow asked,"More?"
He nodded while he flashes his panty-wrecking smile.
"After ng civil wedding natin which is by the way, two days from now, I want us to move here. Hindi na ako makakapaghintay to sleep with you every night and wake up with you by my side every morning. I don't want to wait until our church wedding."
She moistened her lips with her tongue which made Alex's eyes darken.
"You said move here? But I thought..."
"I bought this house for us." he said.
