"Why didn't you let me-"
"Because you have a great responsibility on your head. You cannot raise personal disputes by a mock." I explained to her, passing her a faint smile.
"But…" She mumbled, looking away.
"Control your hot-blooded young blood." I teased, pushing her from my shoulder a little.
She frowned, rolling her eyes, "I have begun to detest this word ‘young’ now."
I chuckled and was about to say but De Villiers came, "Good Morning, Boss."
"Hey." She hummed, waving her hand at him casually.
“Everyone is waiting for you.” He told her, she hummed, taking a seat.
“Let them. I never justified the time for the meeting anyways, show them our hospitality and chill.”
She shrugged, taking a sip of drink while motioning me to come and sit beside her.
I sighed, there was no cure for the dominance which has blinded her by the worldly allures.
Her personality changes in a mere heartbeat was terrifying, it has begun to turn her into a person she hates and I can’t help her.
“Mhm, Prince, come.” She smiled, offering me her hand. I smiled and took it, sitting beside her.
“You seem to be in a good mood.” I said to her, She giggled, turning to me.
“Let’s just say yesterday was unforgettable.” ‘To me, every moment I spend with you is.’ I smiled and continued my breakfast.
We were walking around the mansion, checking it out as she said, “De Villiers, tell everyone we will have lunch together and shall discuss our hanging conversation then.”
"Yes, Boss." He nodded and left us alone.
"Come, I want to show you something."
She grinned, taking my hand and leading me to the third floor and after going through a series of corridors we reached an almost hidden part of the mansion.
I remembered it was Valencia's garden and only authorized people were allowed there.
I went there for the first time and saw an elegant rose garden with a strange fragrance dispersed in the sky, compelling me to see all the flowers still in the same condition.
"Pretty, isn't it?" She asked, turning to me.
"I shouldn't be allowed here." I told her, looking around the place.
She smiled, coming to me and wrapping her arms around my neck.
"Because you were just an underling back then. Now you are my husband and no one should dare to restrict you." She said temptingly, trying to tiptoe to my level but stumbled on my chest.
"No one is ready to accept you as my husband." I joked.
"It doesn't matter, you married me. Not them.'' She frowned, kissing my jawline because that's far her height goes.
Laughing a little, I held her waist and lifted her, "There you go, Her Majesty, you can do it now." I smiled.
She grinned, cupping my cheeks and placing her lips upon mine, submerging us in a moment where her lips were fused to mine and nothing existed anymore, my streets calling her, indicating that's the name my lips can pursue anymore.
Whenever we kiss, my life suddenly starts making sense…
Clutching her petite form rigidly around my hands, I pressed her on the pillar, lifting her from the ground without breaking the kiss, taking support from my grip, she solely focused on the electrifying sensations rushing in our minds by the kiss.
“Do you know why I took you here?” She asked, pulling away a little.
“Why?” I asked breathlessly, putting my forehead over his.
“I wanted to know when you have loved me all this time, why did you induce irremovable fear in me?” She asked.
“But then I thought let it be… You must have a reason but now, Prince. I don’t want it anymore. Promise me you will not petrify me anymore.” She said desperately.
My grip over her loosen as she was back on her feet, her intense gaze upon me made me feel dejected, I couldn’t reply.
Taking both of her hands, I kissed them and didn’t meet her orbs, waiting for a reply.
“I am sorry… I can’t..”
“It is to control me, isn’t it?” She said, pulling her hands away from me, narrowing her eyes in dolor.
“Yes.” I nodded, trying to come closer, “Cinzel, I-”
“Seems like I need it.” She laughed a little to herself, hugging her sides.
“I don’t want it either.” I whispered, taking her hand again.
“Hang in there a little longer, will you? I will take you away. A place where you don’t have to be afraid of me or the world, where I could show you openly how much I love you, place your belief in my heartbeats, I will save you from all the abhorrence of this world.” I said earnestly, fixing my eyes on her endearing ones.
Lured by the riveting, she began to say, “Do you think it’s only you who has loved? It was only you who was dying to run away? Why do you sound like you are alone, Prince? I am with you, we will run away, we will be together in a world beyond stars, away from judgment but.. Together.”
“Don’t you dare to walk alone anymore. I don’t care whether I am afraid of you or what accusation people put on you, I am with you and we will overcome this together. You hear me?” She whispered, clinging onto me leaving me staggered.
“As one. So stop saying you will take me away, we will break the moralities of this world together.”
I was taken aback by her words, blinking, trying to register her words, not believing she actually said it.
As I was trying to control the overwhelm which made my heart race abnormally, filling me with extreme delight to the extent I urged to cry my happiness out, she took a step back, not leaving my hand and bent on her one knee.
“Can I tell you a secret, Prince?” She said, looking up at me, kissing my hand.
If you think the other way around, a Mafia Princess bent her knees before the one she loves was astonishing but to me, she was my Cinzel whom I swore to protect even if it cost me my life.
I nodded, smiling a little as she whispered,
“I don’t know when and how but I feel most protected in your presence…”
