"You are so dead, Prince!"
A scowl escaped my lips, holding the vase, targeting Prince who was holding the pillow to defend himself from my assault.
“I told you, I am sorry! Please..!” He said breathlessly, peeking from the pillow.
“Asshole, You could have told me Nathaniel is my brother instead of making things complicated!” I growled, moving to the side, finding the right spot to hit him.
“Hey! The vase will hit, put it down.” He said, trying to convince me but to no avail.
“I am sorry, It’s just him and I are not on good terms.” He tried to reason but I got on top of bed.
“You could have told me!” I hissed throwing the vase but he managed to dodge it,
“Even I have never raised my hands against you, woman!” He shouted, covering himself with the pillow.
“It doesn’t matter! What else are you hiding from me, huh?” I snarled, getting down and grabbing another vase.
“L-Love, please try to understand… He is far more lethal-”
“Stop your excuses!” I was about to throw the vase but Prince ducked and ran out of the room.
“Come back here, Prince!” I shouted, going after him but the moment he ran to the corridor, he stumbled upon Nathaniel as they both fell down.
I was standing in the middle of the corridor with everyone, holding a vase and veins popping out from my skin in fury.
“Your sister has lost it.” Prince whispered hurriedly, getting away from him and moving back.
Nathaniel noticed Prince holding a pillow and a vase as he smirked and said, “Pinched you when I was doing it in your stead.”
He teased me but I wasn’t in the mood for games, constantly growling at him. If he had told me before I would be mentally prepared to meet my sibling but no…
“That asshole never told me straight about you. And I always wondered why you care for me so much.” I hissed, coming closer but Prince moved back and everyone was amused but I wasn’t enlivened by it.
“I can understand. He shot me after all.” Nathaniel shrugged, chuckling a little.
“Huh? When? You even shot my Brother?!” I yelled at Prince, jaw dropping to think what else he was hiding from me.
“Now you are taking his side? You just met him.” Prince argued.
I stopped, turning to him. He laughed a little and turned to look at Prince with a vile expression.
“That was long ago. I wanted to take revenge but don’t wanna give your beloved a scar or make you window- especially after seeing your love for him or else…”
Nathaniel trailed off, putting his hand in his trouser and moving close to Prince, giving him a vile look.
“You don’t have to mention it over and over again.” Prince muttered and I threw the vase again.
“What the hell, Cinzel?!” Prince gasped, barely dodging it.
“It is entertaining to see the Almighty Prince being frightened of his a decade and half younger bride.” Nathaniel smirked but it irked me. The word young has begun to get on my nerves as I glared at him.
“What?” Nathaniel shrugged, I wanted to hit him for calling me young too but he was scary so I didn’t. Rolling my eyes, I turned to Prince again.
“It could hit me, Love.”
“You- You-” Growling, I tried to think of something to do to him and then an idea struck me.
He tried to reason but a dark smirk came to my lips, coming closer but it alarmed him about my intention.
“Cinzel…?” Grabbing his collar, I licked my lips seductively with my smirk growing wider.
“I know what to do with you.”
“What…?” He asked hesitantly.
“I will fix you at home, dear husband.” Winking, I moved back, letting him go. He narrowed his eyes, certainly not liking whatever is in my mind.
“You deserve it. Treat him worse, if possible, he shot your brother. Your own blood.” Nathaniel scorned.
“Stop giving her more reason.” Prince hissed at Nathaniel who laughed and walked away after patting my head.
“Bless you, Cinzel.” He blessed me and left.
I was not used to blessing but it felt good, a sense of pride, I couldn’t explain but it was heartwarming.
Clearing my throat, I turned to Prince, “We will leave tomorrow.”
Since it was night, we decided to stay and leave tomorrow morning. Poor Prince’s stern image was spoiled but what can I do? It was his fault for hiding it.
When everyone left, I turned to Prince, “Are you going to come back to the room or you want to sleep outside?” I asked nonchalantly.
“So your lava has soothed?” He asked, relaxing a bit, taking a deep breath.
“Can’t wait to see you at home.” I winked and went back inside.
“What are you going to do?” He asked tentatively but I didn’t reply and cleaned up the shards of broken vase as we both finally calmed down, falling back on the bed.
Exchanging a glance, we stared at each for a long time before bursting into a peal of laughter.
“You turned wild for a moment.” He laughed.
“What was I supposed to do? You lied to me.” I mumbled, laughing, turning to him.
“Ah, I didn’t lie. I simply hid the truth.” He corrected me.
“Why?” I asked, taking his hand and putting it under my head, snuggling to him.
“You heard him, I shot him. He wouldn’t think twice before killing me.” He chuckled, wrapping his hands around me.
“Don’t worry, I won’t let anyone hurt you.” I grinned, tapping his nose.
“My, thank you very much.” He smiled, pulling me close to him as we both laid down, feeling the equanimity in each other’s embrace.
We remained like this and soon Prince fell asleep but sleep has been deprived from me.
My mind couldn't comprehend that I had a brother all this time. It was Nathaniel who abducted me in the first place. That was why he cried when he saw me for the first time.
I looked at the slumbering form of Prince and began to trace my fingers on the side of his face, moving it to his hairs and kissing his forehead.
Smiling to myself, sheltered in his night, I didn't know but I have begun to love this fear too.
"What have you done to me…?" I mumbled, getting up. I didn't know what to do so I went to the rooftop and saw Nathaniel talking to a guy.
"-If he doesn't listen then hang his body right in his mansion, they should know to fear the Plague Doctor-"
