Chapter Uncle Martin symbol of obstentocity and culinary chaos

For some reason, after being taken by what impulse when I found my mind flooded with those memories, I started to shake taken by the obvious emotion because of how like a cheerful girl game I made some playful jumps.

"The house of flowers was well known to passersby, my best and most precious memories I have with them and grandparents precisely in that place, they undoubtedly gave complete color to my world. "

Lina watched me pending and attentive to each of my words, the emotion had mowed me down so it kept me ecstatic so more than anything I was off guard when I heard her say.

"I always hear you talk about them with such joy and with such love, but the doubt in me remains, I'm sorry if my question is uncomfortable for you, but, and your parents Emma. "

The truth is a surprise, although I shouldn't be so surprised by such a question because it is understandable that as soon as I made part of my life known that the question about my parents would shine at some point.

Not knowing what to do, much less what to say, stopping my march in my tracks with a somewhat muffled voice, I mused to Lina.

"I am an orphan, my grandparents and uncles are my only family. "

I replied even though I was aware that that truth was half-baked.

"I'm sorry I didn't know. "

His apologies seemed to be sincere and understandable, even so, listening to him bring such up brought with it not so pleasant feelings for me.

Nostalgia and pain attacked me immediately after noticing the absence in the flesh of those I love, but despite this I was not going to allow such feelings to stop my joy at that moment and precisely this day so I just ignored such setbacks that had lodged in me, eh?.

"Don't worry, nothing's wrong, we'd better hurry, the uncle must be waiting for us. "

Without waiting for any response from her I started to resume my walk making my gait faster and faster.

"Emma, wait for me... "Lina screamed on the spot.

So that Lina would not feel uncomfortable by my reactions and guilty for bringing that up I started to challenge her because I needed that feeling of discomfort that had formed between the two will dissipate so giving her face I walked backwards towards the house in reverse.

"Bet you don't catch me" promulgate with a completely visible smile.

Without her wanting to force her to follow that trick and before she noticed it such a girl was already following that game with me and so our laughter flooded that whole place again.

With each step we took, the distance that divided us from the facade of the house was getting smaller, so we had to plan what we would do next in case we were facing a mistake.

"And if it's not the Emma house. "

"Well, we'll have to find another taxi that can take us to the place. "

Lina once she heard me turned to observe the route we had already traveled from the entrance, because for lazy on her days of rest there is no one to beat her.

"To go back out there again, no, no and no. "

At his expressions I couldn't help but laugh.

"If it touches, touch, come on, don't be lazy. "

Thank the heavens that before the adversity came between the two the door that was separated from us by a few meters was opened.

Behind her the figure of the uncle made himself noticed and with the joy that characterizes him welcomed us.

Without even thinking about it for a second in front of us, he opened his arms and joined us to him while he directed us each to the side.

He was extremely excited to finally have both of us there so much that he didn't mind invading our space.

"I thought they would never come. "

Such a man replied after squeezing us hard after a while after noticing that we needed to recover air after his squeeze he gently released us leaving his hands on our shoulders.

After leaving Lina and I dedicated ourselves to contemplating the image of the uncle, the chaos that he carried in his clothes was amazing even though he had an apron on the marches of what we presumed was flour shone both on his face, as in his clothes and shoes.

"But what has happened to you, Mr. Martín," Lina exclaims when she sees him, "I destroy the kitchen.

"Not quite... oh I think so, at least I estimate that something can be saved and thank God that you are here so that you can help me. "

"If Aunt Susan sees you like that I'm afraid your head will roll" I looked at him for a moment while I tried to think about the possible disaster that such a man would have perhaps unleashed.

"Now thinking about it, if that's you, Uncle Martin, I don't even want to think about how the kitchen will be. "

The shame that such a situation caused him, added to the stress that he felt, forced him to emit a restless laugh at the same time that he carried his left hand to the back of his head, because he had finally understood that without a doubt he was in a big mess.

"That you had better see for yourselves, for I am afraid it is upside down. "

I thought that maybe and I say maybe despite not yet seeing the kitchen the surprises would not be many to wait for I say because I doubted that that image could become so disastrous, but tremendous mistake, because just by placing one foot inside that house a female voice was heard screaming at the top of her lungs.

"Help, help! Please someone help me. "

The uncle started the march with great agility, perhaps I estimate that at that moment he had perhaps run as he had never done in his life, assuming of course.

That man disappeared as if he were facing a marathon and after crossing the great hall that welcomes those who enter the mansion where we were, he made a U-bend through the common room, then taking the corridor that leads directly to the kitchen.

Lina and I, seeing him react like this with insistence, followed him without a doubt we were not going to leave him alone, and even less now that we knew that in the kitchen he raised a danger for everyone in this house.

When a cloud of smoke arrived, it covered such a space, making it impossible not only to move, but also to breathe, the tickling in the throat after the smoke penetrated our lungs did not take long to appear and along with it the constant and debilitating cough as well.

"The sales, look for the sales. "

I screamed as I tried to get the smoke out of my face.

Thank God that at least at that moment the uncle was attentive and quickly found those windows which he opened on the spot.

With such a simple trick the smoke finally dissipated after a few minutes and the kitchen was completely visible again despite the fact that even small cloudy features came out from the oven.

What I could see once that whole image was clarified left me perplexed, there were traces of flour everywhere, the spices outside the storage area, the refrigerator open in all its dimension, the washing tap was spilling water relentlessly, the dishes were scrambled and scattered and even worse a smell of something burned that emanated a spicy sensation spread all over the place.

"But what were you trying to do, Uncle Martin? You didn't mean to burn yourself alive. "

With his head semi-bent with the expression that remains in any case on the faces that have tasted failure, such a man approached the oven, in front of him I keep silence and with the same attitude he opened the hatch of it.

In a corner on one of the counters, a completely square piece of fabric gleamed and taking this in hand that man replied once he extracted that mold which he threw on the central island of the kitchen.

"Just try to make the blueberry pai that Linsey used to make for us, for years such a dessert has been Susan's favorite, but for some time now that one has shone in her absence... "

That uncomfortable lump that forms in the throat after listening to something that shocks us and that occurs in the same way when we promulgate something difficult to share appeared in me, annoyed and insistent while I listened to him speak with a fixed and attentive gaze.

The uncle sighed before us, by his behavior it was something completely evident that first of all he wanted to give that pleasant surprise to his beloved wife accompanied also by my presence and seeing him sad in that way made my being hurt a lot.

Until that moment he had refused to observe us, it was difficult for him to keep his eyes up, but when he finally managed to lift his face, he observed me and it was inevitable not to notice in those eyes moistened by the tears that they were trying to escape through them.

"You remember it Emma, you remember those days gathered as a family even more for Susan's birthday where such a dessert was never lacking. "

"Yes uncle I remember" a playful smile not very well I heard him formed in the right corner of my mouth and I continued saying...

"As I also remember her constant arguments because of the antics you did against her and because according to her you spoiled me more than you should, so she regularly complained that you wanted to hog my attention by buying me as many gifts as you could. "

"And yet Susan was always your favorite. "

"What can I tell you uncle, in this world there are girls who like the simple more than the ostentatious, although if I appreciate every one of your details your simple attention was what I loved the most to receive. "

"And now that I've had to learn it, when I saw them I used to even think that they shared blood ties because of how extremely similar they are. "

The inexplicable feeling of finding ourselves suspended in a world completely parallel to us remained, the uncle and I continued that conversation for some more time while Lina on the side refused to speak curiously to such a man and emitted words or movements as little as possible.

We were extremely attentive merely to the conversation we were having when out of nowhere it was heard behind our backs.

"But what has happened, my kitchen, what have you done to my kitchen Martín. "

In that voice an evident tone of anger arose at the sight of such a chaotic and disastrous scene.

Lina and I, after feeling such a singular response, did not hesitate to turn around and there, standing right at the entrance precisely where we had entered, a lady dressed in a maid's outfit was standing, she was a tall woman with fair breasts, quite older, but with a very powerful fierce spirit.

"And this is not Mrs. Meredith... Meredith, these are my niece Emma and her friend Lina, the guests I told you so much about. "

As if nothing was happening that presentation arose, the courtesy to such a greeting prevailed and did not wait.

"Welcome girls I was really looking forward to meeting you, this mequetrefe has told me a lot about you. "

"Hey, who do you call a flirt. "

What a cutting look that he gave to that man, a subject who had no choice but to resign himself and accept this situation.

"Well, well I didn't say anything. "
