She let out a sigh and rested her head on the swivel chair. She can finally Take a rest after having a hectic schedule this past few days. From Setting appointents, checking hundreds of documents and answering calls from either his Clients or his Annoying Agressive Flings. She has a long patience but she wanted to wring the neck of those Kielton's Agressive Flings. She realized that Being a Secretary was never easy.
She looked at her wrist watch and it's already 12:30 P.M that's why she felt hungry. Nilingun niya ang lalaki na abala parin sa pag-aasikaso sa walang katapusang mga papeles nito.
She sighed.
Tumayo siya mula sa kaniyang swivel chair at inayos ang sarili bago naglakad patungo sa office ng lalaki.
She knocked the door twice before she opened it and that's when Kielton lifted his head and their eyes met.
"Kumain na muna tayo. Lunch time na." Aniya. Nakita niya kung paano ito bumuntong hininga at umiling bago ibinalik ang tingin sa mga papeles.
"I have to finish this as soon as possible. You can go now." He just glance on her side without looking on her face.
Napailing siya.
"You should atleast eat." Nagbaba siya ng tingin sa mga pepeles sa desk nito.
"Just go." Ulit nito na hindi parin tumitingin sa kaniya.
Napabuntung-hininga siya bago tumalikod at naglakad paalis palabas ng building para bumili ng pagkain at kumain pagkatapos ay nagpabalot sya ng ulam para sa lalaki.
Bumili lang sya ng dalawang putahe ng ulam-- his favorite. Adobo at bulalo at dalawang cup ng kanin sa isang karenderya malapit lang sa building.
Hindi na siya kumatok at pumasok na lang kaagad sa loob ng opisina ng lalaki na nag-angat ng tingin sa kaniya at sumulyap sa dala niya.
She smiled, raised the paper bag and walk towards him.
Inilapag niya ang paper bag sa desk ng lalaki na seryosong nakatingin sa dala niya at natigilan ng makita ang mukha niya. He frowned while looking at her.
"Why are you wearing that?" Napatingin siya rito at marahan natawa ng napagtanto ang ibig-sabihin nito.
She's wearing a Sun glasses, mask and a scarf to hide her face. She even ruffled her hair para hindi halata ang buhok niyang natural na wavy sa dulo.
"Oh," She chukled. Tinanggal niya ang sun glasses, ang kaniyang mask at ang scarf na nasa kaniyang leeg.
He shooked his head as he looked at her.
She smiled at itinuro ang paperbag.
"Here. Kumain ka muna. I bought this from a carenderya nearby." Aniya at kinuha mula sa paper bag ang mga pagkain. Sinadya niya pa talagang bumili ng mga plastic tupperware para doon ilagay ang mga ulam at kanin.
"Ikaw?" He asked that made her stilled.
"Kumain na ako. let's go there next time! I was planning to buy all of them para matikman mo but then I realize hindi mo naman mauubos." Aniya.
"Is this all for me?" He asked.
"Yes. Kumain na nga ako, diba?"
"Oh.. okay." He nodded and sighed.
"Ay saakin 'tong fresh milk." Akmang aabutin niya ng maunahan siya nito.
"Akala ko ba saakin lahat 'to?" Nakataas ang sulok ng labi nitong nakatingin sa kaniya.
"I forgot! saakin 'yang isang chocolate milk." Napasimangut siya.
He chuckled.
"Okay, okay. Here." Inabot nito sa kaniya kaya kaagad na lumapad ang ngiti niya at nakita niya kung paano ito natigilan at napatitig sa kaniya.
"Thanks." Aniya at natigilan.
She looked at him. Nakataas ang sulok ng labi nito.
"What?"
She realized that she thanked him when he should be the one to thank her.
"Nothing." She sighed.
He shrugged.
"Okay." Anito at ibinalik ang tingin sa computer.
"Thankyou."
Natigilan siya sa sinabi nito at napatitig sa mukha ng lalaki.
She didn't move and just keep on staring at him.
She saw him stopped from reading the papers on his desk and lifted his head to look at her.
"What?"
She shooked her head and smiled.
"Nothing." She turned her back at him then spoke.
"You're welcome, by the way!" She exclaimed as shs walked towards the door with a smile on her face.
SHE is now looking at this man who have this angelic face while sleeping peacefully on his desk. He fell asleep. His laptop was still opened. It's already 8:30 in the evening kaya wala ng masyadong mga tao.
She sighed and gently caressed his disheveled hair using her hand. Napalitan ang seryosong mukha ng binata ng isang napakaamong mukha habang natutulog. She's staring at him like she is memorizing every part of his face. He has Thick brows, long lashes and reddish lips. She admit that this man is drop dead gorgeous at hanggang dun nalang iyon. She should not fell for this man. She should not fell in love with him because He might messed up everything she had started and she won't let that happen.
She sighed, turn his laptop off and even arranged the papers on his desk before she turn her back at him and walked towards the door. She will just buy coffee for him.
When the elevator opened, she walked straight to where her car parked. She is now in the parking lot area and There's no people other than her. When she get inside her car, she put her seatbelt on before she drove out of the parking lot and stopped at the bridge just one hundred meters away from the building when she saw that she's running out of fuel.
Napahilamos siya sa mukha nang makitang wala ng gas ang kaniyang sasakyan. She was running out of fuel. Fvck!
Lumabas siya sa kaniyang sasakyan. She looked around to find someone she could asked for help but mostly, mga lalaki ang nakikita niya. They are just strangers to her. They might take advantage to her.
She won't also ride a taxi because it's already late. She would rather choose to walk than Riding a taxi at this hour alone, which is not safe.
She let out a sigh and decided to walk.
After 10 minutes of walking, she finally arrived at the Starbucks. She bought two coffee for them. Americano and Frappe.
Nagsimula siyang maglakad sa tahimik at walang katao-taong lugar Kahit walang masyadong tao sa paligid. There was only light coming from the light post accross the street that gives light on the dark and quite street. They said this way is a short cut that's why dito siya dumaan. Hindi siya nakaramdam ng takot She knows how to fight and She can protect her self from danger.
She almost jumped when she heard a car beeped at her back. Napalingun siya at tinignan iyon pero hindi niya makita ang driver dahil sa ilaw.
"Fvck! What the hell are you thinking?!"
Nanlaki ang mata niya nang may biglang humawak sa kaniyang braso. Her heart was beating faster on her chest when she heard that baritone voice. She looked at him and saw his face. Madilim ang mukha nito at magkasalubong ang makapal nitong kilay habang nakatingin sa kaniya pero hindi nakalagpas sa kaniya ang pagkabahala sa boses at sa mata nito.
She should not assume things easily but she couldn't help but to think that maybe he is worried of her.
"What? P-paano mo nalaman na nandito ako?" Tanong niya sa lalaki na seryosong nakatitig sa kaniya.
Napalunok siya.
He is Mad and worried? She don't know. She don't want to assume. Maybe he is just mad because she didn't tell him where she is. She should have left him a letter or message him pero hindi niya iyon naisip.
"What do you think you are doing? You're putting yourself in danger. Paano kung hindi ako dumating at may nangyaring masama sayo? What will happened to you, huh?" Halos tumaas na ang boses nito sa kaniya at halatang nagpipigil lang at ayaw siyang masigawan. She looked down.
She admit that she was wrong. She should have called someone she knows like her co-worker or asked someone for help. She should'nt have go out alone at this hour.
"Look, I'm sorry. Akala ko kasi makakabalik agad ako so..." Nag-angat siya ng tingin sa lalaki at marahang ngumiti.
"That's why you didn't even bother to tell me? You should've atleast left a letter for me not to fucking worry!" He said and brushed his hair frustratedly. Her thumped at that.
He is... worried?
Malakas ang tibok ng puso niya na parang naghaharumintado habang nakatingin sa lalaking nasa kaniyang harapan walang iba kundi Si Kielton Echavez. Ang Anak ng lalaking kinamumuhian niya.
Nagbago ang expression nito, ang kaninang magkasalubong na kilay, ang pag-aalala sa boses at ang pag-aalala sa mga mata nito ay kaagad na nawala at napalitan ng blankong emosyon at kaagad na nag-iwas ng tingin. She saw how his jaw clenched.
"Are you... worried?" She asked that made him gulped. Nakatingin siya sa mukha ng lalaki na parang sinusuri.
Sinalubong nito ang tingin niya. His cold stare and his menacing deep brown eyes while staring at her, made her gulped.
"Why would I?" He coldly asked. She pursed her lips and looked down. He can immediately swift his mode in just one snap, huh. From like a worried boyfriend into a stranger.
"Come on. I heard it! You were worried of me? Why? Am I that important to you?" Nakita niya kung paano ito natigilan dahil sa sinabi niya. She saw how his jaw clenched as he stare at her intently.
"I think you misunderstood." Huminga ito ng malalim. "I'm not only like this to you. I'm also like this to all my Employees, so don't even feel special." He straightforwardly said, looking straight to her eyes without any emotion on his eyes dahilan upang biglaag kumirot ang dibdib niya. She could feel a lump on her throat but she composed her self. She is nothing to him but why is he acting like this? Like she is important person to him?
"O-okay." Bigla siyang mawalan ng gana at hindi niya alam kung bakit. Nakatitig lang ito sakaniya kapagkuwan ay marahas na nagpakawala ng malalim na hininga. He looks calm now.
"I'm sorry. Akala ko kasi napahamak ka na. Next time when you go out, magsabi ka para alam ko kung nasaan ka." Sabi nito at nakita niya kung pano hinubad ang gray suit nito tsaka lumapit sa kanya at ipinatung sa likuran niya. Nagtataka siyang nagtaas ng tingin dito na nakatitig parin sa kaniya tsaka tumingin sa paligid.
"Bakit dito ka pa dumaan? Napakadelikado ng lugar na ito para sa isang babaeng katulad mo." There was a glint of annoyance on his voice and he even brush his hair, frustratedly. Magkasalubong parin ang kilay nito na parang may nagawa siyang bagay na hindi nito gusto.
She pouted.
"They said this way is a short-cut! Du'n ko kasi iniwan ang sasakyan ko banda sa bridge." Paliwanag niya ngunit nakatitig lang ito sa kaniya tsaka Umiling.
"That's not enough reason to fucking put yourself in danger." His voice was cold as ice. As well as his stare but he didn't raise his voice at her.
"Naubusan ako ng Gas so I decided to walked and went to starbucks to buy you coffee. You were so tired that you even fell asleep." Paliwanag niya. Bahagya itong natigilan at biglang lumambot ang expression nito. He let out a sigh.
"Just don't do it again, okay? You should take care of yourself next time dahil Hinding hindi ko mapapatawad ang sarili ko kapag may mangyaring masama sa'yo." He said as he look straight to her eyes. Here we go again. Her heart was pounding loudly against her chest. Ang lakas ng tibok ng kaniyang puso na para siyang galing sa isang running marathon.
"Just answer me. Are you... worried?" Tanong niya rito. Bahagya itong natigilan at hindi agad makapagsalita.
"O-of course. Because you are my Secretary. You are my responsible." Sagot nito habang nakatingin sa kaniya. Parang hindi ito siguro sa sagot like he was not sure of his answer. He keeps on denying but his reaction and actions says otherwise.
"Really? Okay." Aniya tsaka ito tinalikuran. Nakailang hakbang pa lang siya nang may may humawak sa kamay niya at hinila at kaagad na niyakap.
Nanlaki ang mata niya at hindi makapagsalita. Nasubsub siya sa dibdib nito at rinig na rinig niya ang lakas tibok ng puso nito kagaya ng sakaniya habang nakakulong siya matipuno nitong braso. She don't know but she feel safe being in his arms.
"Yes. I'm worried. I'm fucking worried."
His hug tighten.
"Fuck. I couldn't afford to lose you." He whispered as he hugged her like she is the most important person of his life.
She is starting to hate her self. For feeling something towards this man. She hate the way she get affected by his presence. She hates it when she get affected by his words. She was not like this before... she was Sure of something she wants but not right now. Because she is doubting. She don't even know herself anymore.
She closed her eyes tightly
Her feelings are betrying her and she couldn't do anything to stop it
