When eldritch horrors called the Anathema begin to invade Earth, humanity is saved by the Zenith, aliens who grant individuals the power of magic and advanced technology. These "Magical Guardians," clad in flashy costumes and wielding reality-defying spells, have protected the planet for over twenty years, becoming part-time heroes and full-time idols. However, for Mai, these grand threats are overshadowed by her everyday struggles with family and classmates, and the growing anxiety about her future. Mundane problems are her primary concern, and magic and monsters seem like mere fantasies. This perspective shifts dramatically when Mai is caught in the midst of an Anathema invasion. This dark magical girl LitRPG features sci-fi elements and a slow-burn introduction to its mechanics, which become central to the narrative later. The story delves into intense violence and traumatic situations. Inspired by RavensDagger's "Stray Cat Strut," it shares concepts like familiars and a point system for items, but distinguishes itself with a more substantial LitRPG system including levels, stats, and skills, and a generally darker tone. The initial arc serves as an introduction to the world and characters before the LitRPG elements are fully integrated.
