Bella groaned in pain as her eyes slowly opened. For a moment, she thought it had been a nightmare, that she would open her eyes to see herself in her room. She swallowed painfully when she woke up to find out that she was still locked in, she felt so tasty already but she sat mute, too scared to move or utter any sound only tears were silently flowing from the corner of her eyes, will Daniel come for her? She had rejected him for keeping his identity a secret from her, of course, he wouldn't care what happened to her, he shouldn't. He should be in his hospital bed recovering and not run to come looking for her.
The door opened and Calvin came inside with a bodyguard, who stared at her thoughtfully, "Your husband has 72 hours, if he doesn't come, you will die"
"You are wasting your time, I have told you that he won't come. We had separated and I was going to get a divorce, now, do you think he would come for someone that he is no longer with?"
Calvin narrowed his eyes at her, "You are lying" he walked to her and fisted his fingers on her hair, and pulled so that her face jerked towards his
Bella cried out in pain, her scalp burning like hell, "You better pray that he comes or else..." He left his threat hanging as he pushed her away from him, she fell backward and scraped her elbow against the hard ground and left bruises on her elbow
"I gave him 72 hours, 48 hours have gone by and I have still not heard from him, your time is ticking...tick...tock" he left the room and shut the door with a bang and Bella's face scrunched as she sobbed. Her gaze searched around, the only exit was the door and it had been locked from the outside, there wasn't any way for her to escape, this time around, she would truly die.

Daniel squinted as he stared at the building from his hiding place, he had asked Aaron to be on his father's tail, and in the past 48 hours after his father had called him, Calvin had been here twice. He will quickly finish up what he has to do and move straight to where Bella is being held captive
He was staring at the secret building where his father had kept all the original documents that declared him as sole heir to his mother's wealth, his mother had made the mistake of making his father in charge until Daniel was of age, then all properties will go to him but instead of his father to do as agreed, he had hidden the contracts in a secret house and had taken over his mother's wealth instead, the only one he couldn't take was the one with his mother's lawyer, that gave an inheritance to Daniel on the condition that he marries and stay married for a year but today, he is taking it all and avenge his mother's death.
He already has most shares in his father's company without his knowledge, he had secretly collected the shares of most board members through suitable methods.
He observed the building in front of him and tried to figure out a way to get in there. The security in this place is damn tight and that alone confirmed his suspicions that what he was looking for was in there. Of course, his father must have doubled the security when Daniel took the pen drive from him because he would have known that Daniel's next target after taking the pen drive was here
" Vincent, are you ready?" he asked into his radio and his tech guy replied
"Ready boss, I am inside the building and control the CCTV" Vincent replied
"Oliver?" He asked the driver
"Confirm boss, I'm in position with the truck and ready for action"
"Good, it's about to go down" At a time like this, he missed Marcus the most but today was the day that he would avenge his old friend, his father had killed someone who was like a brother to him and he would pay with his life. A life for a life, his father owes him two lives actually, his mother's life and his friend yet he still wants to take his wife's life but that will not be possible because he won't allow his Dad to take more people from him.
"Good...the action is about to begin, Marc, bring in the distraction" he ordered and after a moment, there was a loud explosion and an extreme part of the building went down, there was a commotion as the guards ran towards the direction of the sound, another bang and more guards ran towards there, and they started shooting at the truck coming to their direction. It was an empty truck but the engine was on and made to move in that direction by Daniel's men, using the distraction, Daniel made his way into the building.
There were several boxes in the building and Daniel wondered what his father was up to, opening one of the boxes, he was amazingly surprised that his father was illegally selling drugs, the amount of drugs in this building is worth billions of dollars to his estimation and he was not about to allow his father continue with this.
He searched the building and soon found the documents he was looking for, not only his mother's own there but also some that belonged to some people that he knew nothing about, "greedy old fool, how long has he been taking people's properties from them?" He said out loud as he carried it all and signaled that Oliver brought in the truck through the back. He quickly placed the boxes that contained several documents in the truck and was about to get another when shots missed him by several inches.
"Go with those ones" he ordered and returned fire, "I'll meet you en route" He fired a few shots, "Marc, do it now" he ordered into his radio
"Right away boss" the reply came and he had only run a few feet when the explosion happened.
The force of the explosion shook his feet and threw him off, under normal circumstances, he would have been able to outrun the explosion but he was still recovering with an obvious limp, hence, could not run as fast as he used to.
He groaned as he rolled over, pain jarred his body but he didn't care, he had gotten what he wanted, next action was to go for his wife. He met Oliver over the other side of the building as he was patiently waiting for him
"Boss, are you okay? Should I take you to the hospital?" Oliver asked in concern, they all knew that he wasn't fully recovered and should not be out here
"I'm fine Oliver, make sure that these documents with you are safe"
"What? Boss, I can't leave you behind"
"You can go, Oliver, I need to save my wife"
"Okay boss, I promise to guard these documents with my life" he promised as he drove up.
Daniel's eyes narrowed, it was time to go face to face once more with his father only that this time, he would win and not his father. It's time for his final revenge.
"Aaron, you can bring in the trophies and the rest of you can fall back after finishing off Calvin's men" he ordered and started strolling purposefully to the building where Bella was being held captive.
