Days went by and Bella wasn't feeling much better, she sneezed and sniffed, her eyes were runny with tears and her nose was runny with catarrh, her head throbbed and she felt so weak and sleepy.
Her body ached and she knew she was running at a very high temperature, she had to visit the hospital she thought, a government hospital would do because she did not have much savings left in her account after giving Jeremy her last saved fifty thousand dollars.
She had returned Daniel's credit card and the only money left in her account was the little she was able to save before from her salary before Daniel found out about Jeremy.
She has to spend miserly because as it stands now, she does not even have a job.
She decided to go downstairs and drink some water before going to the hospital.
She was always very thirsty and she assumed that it was because of her feverish condition, her eyes burned as she slowly went downstairs.
Bella was about to go into the kitchen when her eyes caught someone seated in the living room, Joana, what the hell was she doing her? Furious at just the sight of her, she approached her.
Joana stood up immediately she saw Bella coming her way, a triumphant look on her face
"Bella" she called out gently and faked a smile
"What the hell are you doing here?" Bella whispered, she rubbed her throbbing temple and shut her burning eyes for a moment before forcefully opening them
"You are not looking good, are you alright?"
Bella gritted her teeth, Joana's show of fake kindness grated on her nerves and she just could not stand it"Just stop it, okay, stop with your fake kindness because I can see through you"
Joana smirked, "I am glad that you know I don't give a damn about you" she went right back to her sitting position
"Why did you show Daniel a fake video of Jeremy and me? That you have that video shows you listened to our conversation and what you showed him was not what we discussed, we were not planning to run away with his money"
Joana picked up a newspaper on the table and pretended to be reading, "I don't know what you are talking about"
Bella snatched the newspaper from Joana, she was shivering from cold and anger, her head hurt so much and she needed to rest but she could not just walk away and leave Joana to comfortably sit in her house after the damage she had caused to her marriage
"How dare you show your face here?" She wanted to yell but her voice came out weak, "you have to tell Daniel the truth"
Joana opened her mouth to make a snide comeback but from her position, she sighted Daniel coming towards them and she chose her words carefully
"Daniel caught you with your lover right in his house, he loved you with the whole of his heart and you had the guts to bring your lover to his house. Who knows, you might already be carrying the spurn of your lover"
Bella's face blanched and she swayed, "how dare you" she wheezed and raised her hand to slap Joana but her hand was caught in the air and she stared up to see Daniel towering over her
"Don't even think about it" he snarled and flung her hand away, Bella was already so weak that just that little push from him had her falling on the sofa
His gaze raked over her disgustingly and his eyes settled on her stomach, "if you are already pregnant by that bastard, I'll rip that child off you before it is born"
"Daniel, what are you doing? Why do you always choose to listen to her? She lied to you about everything"
"Really? And what about the one I saw with my eyes?"
Bella saw him placed his hand over Joana's shoulders and stared at her, "are you okay?"
Joana nodded and patted his hand, she smiled up at him, and Bella's heartburn
"Daniel?" She called in confusion, "What is she doing here?"
"This is my house and I invited her over" he paused and stared at her so that his next word would sink in, "same way you thought you had the right to invite your lover"
Bella shook her head from side to side, no, this cannot be happening, "you can't do this to me" Her voice was filled with anguish and her head pounded mercilessly
She managed to stand up and aimed at Joana, she had the intention of scratching out Joana's eyes but once again Daniel intercepted her
"If you can, why can't I?" He snarled maliciously and pushed her away, "I have a date with Joana and there is nothing you can do to stop it. Joana is my girlfriend and might become more than that in the future"
Bella watched them walk away, no Daniel, please, she sobbed but he didn't even bother to look at her again
Her heart was heavy and she didn't know how long she could take this pain, it hurt so bad, she held her pounding heart and wished she could rip it out of her, why does it hurt so bad, why did love treat her with such harshness and cruelty?
Daniel is gone, her Daniel had stopped loving her and was willing to replace her so soon, but she could never get him back
Tears slipped from her eyes, she was drained both physically and emotionally and she looked like someone who would collapse any moment.
Slowly, she stood up and shut her eyes firmly to let the wave of dizziness pass before slowly going to her room.

Bella stood outside the hospital clutching the test result to her chest, she slowly opened it and stared at what was written there, she had gone over it again and again but she felt if she stared at it hard enough, the result would change.
She could feel eyes boring into her, she knew why they were staring, she was after all the internet trending topic and she would live with the stigma for the rest of her life.
Bella was grateful that no one assaulted her like last time, so she paid deaf ears to their whispers and turned blind eyes to their finger-pointing.
Time stood still as she stood staring at the piece of paper that the doctor had given her, pregnant, she was one month pregnant with Daniel's child and she did not even know how to feel about it. Now, she understood Brittany very well when she had told Bella that she did not know whether to feel happy or sad about her pregnancy but she was lucky that everything turned out well for her and Bella was happy for her friend but she was worried that might not be her own story.
She slowly put the result into her pocket, perhaps, this child would help to bring her and Daniel back together, and the child would reunite them in love. Her stomach quivered and she gently placed her hand on her belly
Pregnant! She was going to become a mother, she decided that she would tell Daniel about it as soon as she got home.
Daniel was not back when she got home and she waited anxiously for him, after hearing the news, he would break up with Joana and come back to her.
Her mind suddenly ran on a line that made her shiver, Joana had insinuated earlier that she might be carrying Jeremy's child and Daniel had said he would rip it out of her before it was born, what if Daniel thinks that the child she is carrying belongs to Jeremy?
No! She shook her head, vehemently dismissing that thought.
She decided to wait for him in the living room, she took the medicine that the doctor had prescribed for her and sat on the sofa, soon, her eyes were dropping closed.
The sound of Daniel's car had her sitting upright, she looked around and noticed that it was dark already, she sat up and after a moment, she heard him enter the house.
He stopped and stared at her coldly, "Welcome....I...I have something to tell you"
"I am glad that you are awake because I have something to tell you too... our marriage contract ended months ago. Let's get divorced".
