Marinara heard him alright, but she started to think that she is probably hearing things, and that the doctor is referring to someone else, but then, her thought swayed again, when she remembers that another person that could be called Queen, just had her babies, there is no way, she would be with child again, and it isn't possible, that the doctor is referring to her Marinara, she has been cursed by the moon goddess that she is never going to have children, so why should she even try to get her hopes high. She opened her eyes, to be sure, she is still not in her unconscious state, when her eyes met with Arthur, who looked like he just heard the worst joke of his life.
And since no one was reacting to what the doctor just said, Marinara thought of reacting in the appropriate way. That is exactly what she would do. She has been mocked many times about her childlessness, that she got used to it, especially since she has a great man by her side, but for the doctor to try and mock her again, she didn't quite like that, but she wouldn't get angry, she will just laugh it off, which she started doing, she started laughing.
Arthur after recovering from what he just assimilated, he joined his Queen to laugh, but the doctor didn't see anything funny about what he just said, though their reaction is expected. He allowed them laugh as much as they want to, and when they were done with laughing at him, he repeated the same thing he had said, but this time, he added a clause.
"I am going to invite my colleague, I don't think I am wrong, but since you are both laughing like I don't know what I studied at school, then I will call my junior colleague from the hospital to run a test for me".
He checked the blood again and nodded.
I couldn't be wrong, the Queen is pregnant". Marinara hated the guts of the doctor, she sat up on the bed.
"If you have come to the palace, my home to insult me, you had better think again, for I will not hesitate, to throw you into the dungeon, what nonsense are you saying? She asked, getting angry, that Arthur had to hold her down.
"You need to rest, leaving the bed isn't the right thing to do, just relax while I check on the new mummy in town". He says, kissing her forehead, sending her back to bed with the kiss of love. He didn't even want to think so much about what the doctor had just said, for he didn't believe it himself, but the doctor went ahead to call his colleague, who was happy about coming to the palace.
When she got to the palace, she noticed that they have too many persons in the palace, and they were celebrating, she didn't need anyone to tell her that Blair have had her babies. In the crowd outside, she showed the guards her card, and they allowed her in.
The doctor was still with the king, but his mind kept going to the result, when he heard that his colleague had arrived. He needed to convince the king first, so he told him to collect a fresh blood from the Queen and give it to the doctor that just arrived without telling her, whose blood it is, so that, he too, can be sure, that he didn't allow his wish, over shadow his judgement.
Arthur didn't want to go down that lane again, but the way the doctor looked, he decided to just do as he had been told, without putting so much thought to it.
He went back into the room, took the blood samples of his wife, who was still shocked at what the doctor had said earlier. He met with the female doctor half way at the corridor.
"My king". She bowed her head, as soon as she sees him.
"You must be Loren? He asked, and still with her head bowed low, she nodded.
Take this blood samples, and have a pregnancy test done on it for me". Arthur says, and watch her, bring down her box, and she started working.
"You will give me say about 30 minutes". She says.
"Take all the time you need, when you are done, just ring the bell". He tells her and left.
He soon started to give it a thought. Since their victory from Shadon and his brother Barthur, whom he still kind of feel bad for ending, he has been consoling himself a lot with his wife, but that is what they have been doing for a long time now, since they got married, they have been having sex, and she never got pregnant, why now, when they should be having their grand kids. He soon shook his head.
"What am I even saying, it's not even possible, she can't be, she have passed the age". He says to himself. He didn't know the time was already fast spent, when he heard the bell, the way it rang, he could tell it's a new person, so he opened the door, sending the maidens back inside.
So what are your findings? He asked.
Loren was worried, thinking that the blood belongs to one of the maidens. Her fears increased, when she allowed her thought grow wide, thinking that the king have impregnated one of the maidens.
My king, if this blood belongs to a maiden, then she is pregnant, but I hope.....
She paused, she wanted to say, she hopes that the king haven't disappointed their Queen.
"Are you saying she is pregnant? He asked again, and she nodded, before he remembers what she wanted to say again, so he asked.
"You hope what?
She looked down and though scared, she was still going to tell him.
The way she loves the Queen, she would feel bad, if the king got a maid pregnant.
The Queen had been more than a mother to all, and she is so welcoming. When she heard about Jayden, it broke her down, and now this.
"I hope you didn't impregnate your maids, that would really hurt the Queen". She says, and quickly went down on her knees, expecting him to slap her, but he only smiles.
"This blood belongs to the Queen, and you just gave me the best news ever, that the Queen is pregnant".
She looked up shocked, her eyes followed the king to door, she needed to see her colleague as soon as possible, she needs to know what is going on.
Soon the news went viral, that the Queen is with child, just after the unified twins, have been born. The celebrations, is unending.
