The paramedics got to her, while the fire service providers kept trying to put off the fire, one had gone inside, and was successful in bringing Blair's mother out, though she was badly wounded.
"How did it happen? Fredrick asked, as he couldn't let go of the hands of Blair, he was holding her, waiting for her to open her eyes.
"We don't know, but we suspect that she was cooking, and she went to sleep, leaving it to burn, and it kept burning, until, it got round the kitchen, and then to the house.
She would have been burnt alive, if not that the call from the neighbor attracted us".
Blair soon opened her eyes, and the shock was still on her face.
"Where is my mother? was all she could ask, that was obviously the only person she wants to see at that time.
"She is out, she will be fine, they are attending to her behind the van, before they will take her to the hospital, you too, do not look so good yourself, so we are going to have to take you to the hospital, it will help you to be close to your mother".
Brittany was already crying, it felt like whenever she is about to hear a good news, bad things happens instead.
She followed her friend, holding her side in a bit to console her, while she was crying uncontrollably.
She got behind the van, where her mother was been attended to, and she saw her. She looked weak, a part of her face, had been bruised, she looked sick already, and her eyes was closed.
"Why is she not opening her eyes? He asked the nurse, who was holding her hands.
"She is resting, she have been stabilized, she will now be taken to the hospital for proper treatment.

"I am Blair quickly answered.
"Then you are going to have to follow us in the van, others can come to the hospital later".
Brittany hugged her, still in tears.
"We are right behind you". She nodded her head, and that was when Fredrick let go of her hand that he had been holding.
As soon as the van moved, Frederick and Brittany got into his car, and moved, behind.
Fredrick haven't said much to Brittany, it was almost as though, he doesn't know her, he had been looking at Blair, as if she is the only one he could see there, meanwhile, they used to be very close, she had even thought at one time, that he might actually like her, but the way he was acting now, she isn't so sure anymore.
When they got to the hospital, they stood behind, watching as the doctors rush her into the emergency room in a stretcher.
Blair wasn't allowed to go in, so she stayed outside. She felt alone, but when she looked back and sees her friends, she was so happy, and that was when she allowed her tears drop, she hugged the both of them, but Fredrick was particular about holding Blair close.
Brittany didn't want to think so much about what she was seeing, and even if Blair wasn't taking notice of it, it seem pretty odd, to have him hold her the way he was holding her, but then, she shook her head, thinking that she must be over thinking.

After a while, a nurse came out and demanded for Blair, saying she could go inside to see her mother, she didn't hesitate, she rushed in, and she saw her, she looked very weak, but she was still able to smile.
"My child, I am so sorry, I know you must have been so worried".
She waved that off. It was an accident, and that was something about accidents, it could happen anywhere, and to anyone.
"Save your strength, you don't have to talk much, just rest". She begged, as she kept caressing her arm.
I should never have left you alone in the house, you have been suffering as much as I have. Coming to my room, looking after me, and making sure that I don't end up taking my own life. I don't think you even get much sleep, so you must have been so tired, it isn't your fault, I am sorry". She nodded her head, because she didn't have enough strength to argue with her daughter. She will tell her everything, when she is strong enough to talk.
Then the nurse came again.
"The doctor will like to have a word with you". She kissed her mother, and followed the nurse out, her friends were still there, she was happy to see them at least, but as soon as she was out of sight, Fredrick got up from his seat, knowing that Blair's mother is alone now, he walked in.
"Who are you? She managed to ask? But he didn't answer, he just spoke into her ears.
"We need Blair to stay in the human world, so if you remain sick, she will stay in the human world, and never think of coming to the other side". The voice speaking into her ears, were that of a woman, but his face was that of Fredrick.
After what he said, Mrs Fire suddenly became too weak, and she fell into a deep sleep again.
Fredrick walked out of the room, and went back to his seat.
"I see you couldn't wait to be invited in, you just had to go in, hope she is fine? Brittany tried striking a conversation with him, but the way he looked at her, was strange, and the color of his eyes, didn't look like the Frederick she knows.
She was suddenly so scared, she had to get up, she walked outside, looking outside, when she heard a loud cry, and suddenly there was chaos everywhere.
What is happening? She rushed back in.
"We are loosing her". One nurse told another nurse.
Blair couldn't watch, she slummed on the chair, close to Fredrick who held her immediately, preventing her from getting to the floor. Then a nurse came out again and called Blair, every thing was just happening so fast, but Blair nodded, as a sample of her blood was taken, and tested.
"Your blood looks special, but we have taken what we need, andwe are going to infuse your mother, we hope she is able to survive". The nurse tells her, and left. Brittany wanted to talk to Blair about the man beside her, but she knows that was not the best time, so she kept following them behind, until something even stranger happened, the nurse came back and looked at Blair Strangely and asked.
