After putting off the fire, the house was in a state of disarray. Blair watched the news, and how people of the community, seem to have one thing or the other to say about it, and funny enough, none had good things to say.
Not like there is any good thing to say, when you allow your house, burn, but they should be nice with their words, knowing that their words, could hurt someone.
She watch the mood of her mother changed, and she knew, she had to turn off the television set in the hospital room.
She exchanged glances with Brittany, who wasn't looking like herself at all, she kept looking back, and at the door, as of she was expecting someone to just walk in.
"Are you okay Britt? She asked, going close to her mother to hold her, by the arm.
"I am fine, it's just that, I didn't see Frederick come back, and he didn't say anything to you, he just left". That was when Blair noticed that he wasn't there, she had been so carried away, with the situation of things, that she didn't notice that the person she had gone out on a date with, was no longer with them, even though, she had followed them to the hospital.
"That is true, I didn't even notice that. Where did he go? She asked, but her mother spoke up.
"That person, is not Frederick, he wanted me to remain sick, he spoke into my ears with the voice of a woman, and after wards, I became worse, closed to death". Blair opened her eyes wide, and glared at her mother in shock, before she bursted out laughing.
"You are so funny mother, how did you come to this conclusion? She asked, while she was waiting for. Brittany to laugh too, but she seem to be with her mother.
"I think I believe your .other Blair, he was acting strange even with me, and as soon as he saw that she is healed, he left. He couldn't even stay back for an extra seconds, he was suddenly in a hurry to leave. Didn't you find that suspicious? She makes a lot of sense, but she doesn't want to believe that Frederick is also not a human, so she just took it as one of those things, not really taking it seriously, but then, the door to the room they were just opened and Frederick walked in.
It was as though he came back, because their were talking about him. Her mother looked scared, but later calmed down, while Brittany definitely looked scared, but then, he gave her a side hug.
"I came as soon as I heard. What happened? Now Blair was confused. She had fainted in his arms, he followed her to the house, and they saw what happened together, why was he acting like he wasn't there, when they were taken to the hospital?
"Are you okay? we're you not there? She asked him, and he looked even more shocked.
"Was I not where? She heard him ask, before going to her mother, and kissed her on the side, that is his usual way.
"I told you Blair, that wasn't Frederick, that person who took you out today, wasn't Frederick, I think....(She paused, shaking her head, while her tears drops) I don't want to believe that those from the other worlds are coming here. That person shape change to Frederick, and took you out, but then, they came back, and became more, and started the fire". Now Blair got up from the bed she had been sitting and stared at her friend, who nodded her head in agreement.
"What are you agreeing to? She asked her.
"He didn't look at me, he didn't even speak to me, and I know that is not how Frederick used to behave. At first, I thought he was just angry, that I didn't tell him, when I left the area, but afterwards, he was still acting up with me, even when we came here to the hospital, I tried speaking to him, but when he looked at me with a yellow eye, I knew something was wrong, and that is why I have been looking back, I am very scared, I feel he might come back. I am even too scared to spend another night in this community". Blair was still shocked, she turned to Frederick and asked.
"Are you saying you didn't take me out today? He nodded as to say no.
"I am just coming into town now, and as soon as I heard about the fire from my mother, I came". Frederick was even more confused.
"Are you saying you didn't ask me to move on with you today, that I should leave Jayden, and I told you that I was not interested? This time, Frederick was shocked, he looked hard at her, with eyes opened.
"I could never say that to you. Jayden is still my friend, besides, I have eyes for Brittany, you know that, so why will I now turn back and ask you out". Brittany released a sigh, she didn't know she was holding, for she was already too worried, that things will keep going from bad to worse.
"Are you saying, you didn't see Brittany today? He looked at her, and smiles, then he nodded, looking more confused and worried.
"I didn't see her, I said I am just coming in, and you are asking me if I saw her, how on earth would I have seen her, when she left for a program and have been postponing her coming ever since? I am just seeing you all now". Blair could still not believe that she had spent an entire day with a stranger.
She held on to her heart, and is about to ask Frederick another question, but she knows the answer already.
"So many strange things have happened tonight, and more are still happening, and I feel within me, that more will still happen, I am really scared". Her mother held her by the hand, making her sit back on the bed close to her.
"Call your uncle Badmus, call the priest, I think Jayden sent them to come get you, after killing me". She shrugged her hands off from her mother.
"Jayden would never do that mother, but maybe you did not know, that I have seen Jayden many times, since after the wedding, and he is still the same Jayden, only a few changes". She started sobbing, feeling that, things are going to get really wrong soon.
"What kind of changes? Frederick asked.
"He is a werewolf, and his mother is a witch, which makes him a hybrid".
"And that is why you have a special blood, because, you guys have mated, you have shared blood". She turned, to see the doctor behind her, with his little girl who looks really sick. She could pass for a skeleton.
The girl rushed to her and hugged her.
"My daddy says, you are going to heal me? She doesn't know if it will happen, but she is going it does.
"I will be more than willing to help you. If your daddy thinks my blood can heal you, then you can have my blood.
