Chapter 16.
The next day, I was supposed to return to the werewolf realm, but why would I want to leave when I already met the mate I was supposed to meet in the pack here in the human realm? Makes no sense, so yeah, I chose to stay behind.
Right now, I am bored. I have no one to talk to. He’s my only friend, and now I’ve lost him. I brought out my phone and logged into my social media account. Maybe I can find someone there to chat with.
"You don't have to look for some random guy to pass the time with," she said sweetly. She’s as charming as always. But I ignored her. I don’t have any time to spare for them. I needed to focus.
"You don’t have to ignore us," Lisa said. "We are part of you. All you need to do is call our mate to come over. I'm sure he will come running over,"
"That's very wrong and you know that," I replied. I’m getting fed up with them. Was it too late to reject them as part of me? "You guys know he doesn't feel anything for me. He's only acting like this because of the mate bond. The pull is too much for him to handle. Whatever feelings you think he has for me are just an illusion. Can't you see that, or are you just pretending to be blind and can't see it?"
Lucy sneered. I could feel her since we all share the same body.
"Are you afraid of the human girl?" She asked. "Kyle is our mate. He belonged to us from the start, but that damn girl took him away from us. So, don’t be scared. We will kill her if you feel she’s a threat,"
What?! They are going to kill Tina because of Kyle? Have they gone nuts or what?
"Why do you want to kill her?" I asked in a dreadful voice. "Please don’t kill her. I've never felt like she's a threat to me, and we all know who he loves." I reminded them for the umpteenth time. "Why on earth would I want to be with a guy who doesn’t love me? Why should I force him to love and accept me when I know who occupies his heart?"
"Then we have to try our best to make him love us," Lisa let out. "He's only going to love us. We'll drive him insane and make him fall in love with us,"
"Then where is he going to put her?" I asked. "Don’t make me laugh. Do you think he’s gonna love me and dump his beloved woman? Just let me be, and stop fantasizing about someone else's boyfriend,"
I ignored them as they kept nagging and whining about me. They wanted me to accept a guy who doesn’t feel anything for me. I focused on what I was about to do earlier. Soon, I was laughing and chatting with someone. Her name was Sandra. I believed she would be a good friend. Can Kyle be easily replaced by her?
The next morning. School time.
I got up as early as possible to go to school. I stood up from my bed to take my bath. I began to strip before walking to the bathroom. I slowly entered the bathtub before opening the shower. I relaxed under the warm water.
"Hmmm," I moan. It felt so good. I wonder what Tina has in store for me today. I knew she wasn’t the type to let matters like that slip away. She won’t make life easy for me today. She already threatened to take her revenge on me.
I walked out of the bathroom with the towel wrapped around my body. I wiped my body dry before creaming myself and putting on a gorgeous dress. I quickly made myself a light breakfast before getting ready for school. I picked up my bag and walked out of the room before locking my door.
I began to walk to the station, where I was supposed to board a bus to the school. I kept checking my time. It was getting late. Why was there heavy traffic today? I’m going to miss my first class at this rate. I finally reached where I was supposed to get down. I quickly got down and started running toward the school building.
Shit, I am late. The class has begun. Everyone was seated and listening to what the teacher was teaching. I opened the door and walked in.
"Good morning, Ma," I greeted the teacher.
"Miss Fallon," the teacher called. "Why are you just coming now? Did you check the time you are coming to the class?"
"I'm sorry, Mrs. Joy. I was stuck in traffic," I explained. "I’m so sorry, ma’am,"
"It’s okay. It's not your fault," she said. "You can go have your seat,"
"Thank you, ma’am."
I walked to where I was supposed to sit, but I couldn't.
"What’s wrong? The teacher asked. "Please have your seat so that we can continue our class,"
How am I supposed to sit on a chair full of trash with lots of swear words written on my desk?
"Ma’am, I don’t think I can sit here," I stated.
"Is that not your seat?" She asked. "Why are you not sitting?"
"You’re right, ma’am. This is where I was supposed to sit," I mumbled, "but the seat was dirty and full of curses.,"
"You can have my seat," Kyle volunteered. "Come sit here,"
I watched him speak. I didn’t want to see him because he kept making me remember when he almost had his way with me. I am so embarrassed.
"No, it’s okay," I replied, wiping the seat with a cloth. "I can still manage my seat," I forced a smile.
He looked so disappointed when I rejected him. Why was he acting normal, as if nothing happened between us? Did he already forget everything and moved on?
"Hmmm!" Coming from someone who told him to forget everything. Are you regretting it?" My wolf asked. "Did you forget you told him everything was a mistake? And now you're saying nonsense. How do you forget so quickly?"
I was not bothered by the way he was staring at me. I listened carefully to what the teacher was teaching. He kept staring at me all through Mrs. Joy's class. I started packing my books immediately after the teacher left. It’s better to ignore both him and Tina. I’m stressed out enough.
"Kate," Kyle called and walked up to me. "Why do you do that?
"Do what? I asked him, still packing my books. I never bothered to lift my head.
"Why did you refuse my help?"
"Can you stop bothering me?" I let out, "I will appreciate it if you can stop bothering me. I have no time to argue or accept your help,"
"I’m sorry," he muttered softly.
"What the fuck?" I yelled, getting rather pissed. "Stop bothering me, Kyle. Please!"
