" Why did you turn off the lights?", his deep voice jerked me off, coming back to reality. Raising my head up slightly, I saw Lorenzo, getting inside the room. His shirt was already done, so I was in a hurry to get on the bed with me. He always hugged me first when he came back from the office. I figured out that it was his favorite thing to do.
I forced a smile on my face. Ever since I read the name of Lily's diary, my mind continued running blank. Leaving the idea of reading her diary tonight, I took a nap to refresh my memory,
" You are back!"
I sat up on my feet to welcome Lorenzo. I gave it a thought and decided that it was best to keep it as a secret from Lorenzo. Leonardo and Lorenzo weren't in good terms. Lily's news could be a fuel in fire. So, I decided to keep it confidential until I had figured out the entire truth.
Lorenzo came onto me, raised my chin up to kiss on my lips before laying next to me. He looked exhausted but still smiled at me to lighten my mood,
" How was your trip to your friend's hostel?"
I just mentioned to him that I was going to visit my friend. If I told him the whole situation, he would have never allowed me to go there. Smiling casually, I mumbled, snuggled into his arms,
" It was great. I missed you."
He muttered by kissing my hair,
" I missed you too. We are going to have your 4 months check-up tomorrow. Are you happy?"
The thought of seeing the little human inside me brought warmth in my anxious heart. Nodding, I replied with a big smile,
" Yes! I wish that our child is going to have the same features as yours."
Lorenzo chuckled, helping me to lay on her chest,
" Then I will be worried to death if it's a girl. You know, she will be too pretty and I will have to kill all the boys who will try to hit on her."
I laughed, rolling my eyes at him. Narcissistic! He just shamelessly took the credit. Remembering the topic again, I spoke while biting my lips together,
" By the way..did Leonardo have a girlfriend before Jenny?"
Lorenzo narrowed his eyes at me then shrugged before mumbling,
" I have no idea! We have never been on good terms. We spoke barely on family occasions."
My thoughts sank at his answer. If Lorenzo had no idea, who knows better about Leonardo then? Were they the same person or I am mistaking something?
