" Are you ready, Miss Avery?", the female doctor announced, rolling the equipment over my stomach. I couldn't believe that I was going to find out the gender of my baby today. Well, Lorenzo knew nothing of it as it was a surprise for his birthday soon. After wrecking my brain hard, I took Emily's suggestion and finalized it as his present.
The dark clouds between us were over. We were doing fine so far. A week had passed since we made up with each other. The fun part was that he was now scared of leaving me out of his sight. It made me hurt to think how lonely he had been in all these years.
A nervous smile plastered on my lips before I said to the doctor,
" Ye..Yes..."
She gave me her brightest smile and focused on the computer again to show my baby. A long silence passed until she answered me,
" It's a boy! Congratulations!"
I was in shock loudly. Placing a hand on my lips, I began to cry silently. It didn't matter to any of us whether it was a boy or girl but God had shown his greatest mercy on us. The main reason behind this pregnancy was getting an heir which was going to be fulfilled now.
Wiping the tears happily, I thanked the doctor repeatedly,
" Thank you.. Thanks a lot, Doctor..I mean..I can't tell you how happy I am."
The doctor laughed as well as she passed me the report. I couldn't stop myself from smiling. Finally, I felt like I had done something big for Lorenzo. Putting the report in my bag, I went outside first to tell Emily how freaking happy I was.

Finally, the day came sooner than my imagination. Lorenzo's birthday was going to be grand today. More than 100 people were invited today. After all, it was the birthday of their Billionaire CEO. Lorenzo strictly forbade me to take part in any activities. Since I was in my sixth month, he was getting more and more careful about me.
Although I wanted to arrange everything, I couldn't put my health at risk especially during this trimester period. However, I watched everything from the stairs. The party was going to be held at our mansion.
All his favourite flowers were brought today to decorate the entire mansion. The cake design was chosen by me. I felt excited for him. I was looking forward to his reaction today after I revealed the baby's gender to him. Thankfully, he kept one request and we were going to wear matching outfits today.
The day was spent in business as I had to pass instructions to the maids for my little arrangements in the backyard. I was nervous and excited as well but the moment was going to be special for both of us.
In a blink of an eye, the most expected evening came. I was dressed up by a professional makeup artist today. As all of his clients would be there today, I didn't take this party casually.
After I put on the red gown, I looked at myself in awe and astonishment into the mirror. The Red gown had almost made my bump invisible. The texture on it seemed so suitable on my body as if the gown was made for me. As the stylist kept combing my hair for the final touch, someone pushed open the door. Then, I saw my man in his red suit, walking over to me with my smile. The stylist left in a hurry, giving us personal space.
Lorenzo came over to kiss me on my lips, saying with a smile,
" You look stunning, love!!"
I returned with a big smile, winked to murmur at him,
" And you look like an ice-cream, so eatable."
He raised his eyebrows amusingly at my flirt, brought his lips to ask shamelessly,
" Then eat me! Who has stopped you?"
I laughed pushing him away shyly and looked at my outfit one last time. He offered me his arms, asking passionately,
" Shall we go down now, Madam?"
I grinned up at him and took his arms to go down to greet the guests. It warmed my heart to think how proud he was to showcase his worthless girlfriend. After we came down together, his staff all came to wish him a happy birthday. Mr.King was on his way to join the party as he was gone abroad. The flight just took off an hour ago in this city. Talking about Leonardo, we weren't sure about it. I heard from the servants that he had grounded Jenny at home. So, I was pretty sure that Jenny wasn't coming today.
Everyone gave presents to Lorenzo. As I was immersed in my thoughts, Lorenzo came to whisper into my ears suddenly,
" Where is my gift?"
I gave him a suspicious look. This man had gotten more than a dozen gifts yet he was greedy for my gift. I thought of giving it to him after the cake cutting event but it seems like, he could barely wait. Letting out a low laugh, I whispered back mysteriously,
" My gift is very big, Mr.King. You have to go to the backyard."
He furrowed his brows together but I just grinned at him, guiding him the way. Once we were away from the party, Lorenzo kept asking excitedly,
" I wonder what you did behind my back. Don't tell me you want to fuck here?"
I chuckled at his lame words, yelled jokingly,
" Shut up and follow me!!"
I brought him to the exact place where I had planned everything. Turning around, I told him strongly,
" Now close your eyes! Don't open it until I tell you!"
He sighed helplessly before closing his eyes. I clapped my hands together and in a second, the lights in those trees were turned on. Walking away from him, I picked up the report that I had hidden here in the afternoon.
" Now open your eyes, Mr!"
Lorenzo snapped open his eyes in shot and his eyes went to the letter bulbs that said " HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY". His eyes moistened slowly at the word emotionally. When he looked back at me, I couldn't stop the tears as well. Giving him a peck on his lips, I told him lowly,
" It's our boy, Lorenzo. He is saying happy birthday to you."
His eyes widened slightly as he looked down at the result in my hand,
" You.. what do you mean..Are you for real.."
I gave him a toothy smile, waving the report in front of him happily,
" Yes!!! It's a boy. I have thought hard but nothing seems better than this gift."
Lorenzo scooped me up in his arms suddenly and started shouting excitedly,
" Oh my god!! You are really my angel!! Valentina, this is the best gift ever to me!!! You can't believe how happy I am.."
He slowed down finally and put me back on my feet after I asked him to be careful. His genuine smile was the best gift of my life. He read the report again and the smile on his face broadened like the biggest star of the sky. Grasping my hand suddenly, he began to lead us back to the party,
" I have a gift for you as well. Come with me!"
I gave him a dumbfounded look as well. Before I could ask more, he brought me back to the party. After holding me by my waist passionately, he announced, asking the crowd to pay attention to him,
" Everyone.. today I would like to introduce my girlfriend to all of you, Meet my girlfriend Valentina Avery."
