Yul's POV

Damn, she's here again.

Why the hell of all time she had to come at this moment when George and I are starting to compensate? Tch. Annoying!

What if I told George that I still wanted this woman to be part of my stockholders? I still wanted her to invest in my upcoming project.

It's about the bridge I was about to build across the country so it would be easier for people who originally lived in the province but were going to the city for work. It would be easier for them to not rent a room and suffer a separate life from their family.

A simple toll gate will resolve their problem, and I need a lot of investors because the capital is not a joke.

"Wifey... is it okay if---"

"Yes! No worries, you shouldn't think about me," she cut me off and smiled, starting to walk away.

Is this her real reaction or not? "Uhm, could you please excuse us for a second?" I asked Cara.

Cara simply nodded so I set George aside. "You could say no if you do not feel secure when I'm around a woman like her."

But please say yes! I really needed to talk with her. This is really splitting my heart into two, but I'm not doing this for myself, for them as well.

Especially now that my family has already been depending on me.

"It's okay, don't worry about me," she said. But hesitation is evident in her voice.

Still, I need to take this chance. She agreed to do it, right?

"Alright, I'll be back as soon as I can, alright?" I kissed her forehead and rubbed her head.

I'm feeling guilty...

Am I still doing the right thing?

"So, what do you think? Are you going to sign the contract?" I asked directly so our conversation won't last long.

"I won't. I've already told you that I will only do that if we're together." Cara is still insisting to be my girlfriend! Damn it. I thought that this will become a little easier, but I was wrong again.

"What?! Are you still into that after knowing I have a family already?!" My fist tightened.

"Yes, that's the only way you could get me to sign."

I took a deep breath.

If this continues, I will never get to sign another good set of investors.

"Aren't you giving me different options? Because I'm firm with my decision. You will never get to sway me." She was chuckling, but I can feel annoyance from it.

"Hmm, it's clear that it's really difficult to persuade you. However, what should I do now? I fucking like you.

You're at fault too! You made me fall for you, deeply in love with you! Call me crazy, think of any names, but I'm into you. So bad."

My fist clenched.

"I didn't do anything to make you fall in love with me!" I yelled, trying to stay still.

She chuckled. "Exactly. How did you do that?" Cara is starting to walk closer to me. Her face fixated on me... she was playing with her lips and tongue, trying to seduce me. Her touch is tracing my face. WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEA! IN BROAD DAYLIGHT! "Now I can't help but get madly and crazily in love with you."

I step aside.

"I apologize. But compensation of money is all I could give you. If this keeps up..." Fuck, it's a hard decision to make. Yet, I need to do it if I don't want to lose my family again. "I might as well leave you to be part of my upcoming project. it's not a big deal to exclude you."

Her facial expression is changing. I can feel that she's starting to feel bad about my response to her. It's all or nothing.

"This will end here. Just give me your decision until next week. If you're still not decided, let me know," I said, now starting to step out of this awkward conversation. But she pulled my arms closer to her.

"Don't leave me yet." She was stuttering. "I still need you."

There's a voice inside of me, shouting about my family's condition right now. Like, I didn't come here for some business trip and just treated my family as a tail to this trip. However, Cara is already here...

Damn. I'm stuck again.

"For what?"

George's POV.

"Hello? Can you hear me yet, Kate? Ugh, it sucks to have a vacation here." My head turned back to Yael and Hyeri who are now having fun together inside our suite. "Don't play with the soap, kids!"

"Yes, Mommy!" they both said in chorus.

"Yes, I can hear you now! OMG! I'm missing you already, sizzums." Her voice is filled with longing.

"Such a liar bitch. Now, tell me the truth. Are you finally pregnant?" I asked.

My head is still moving around, waiting 'til my eyes caught my husband who has been away for the whole day.

I don't understand, what made them talk this long that he even forgot to give me a heads up of what's going on now.

My head is too busy thinking about him right now that I even forget myself I'm talking with my best friend right now.

"Are you even listening, George?!" she shouted from her line, which causes me to go back to reality.

"Ouch! It hurts, lady! So, are you?" I asked again.

"Yes, I am pregnant! YIEEE! And remember, you will be the first godmother I will assign to her. DON'T YOU EVER FORGET ABOUT THAT!" she reminds me. Aww... I miss her.

"HER?" I shouted. "You already knew the gender?!"

"it's just anticipation. Anyway, what's up?"

Oh, there she goes again. She quickly reads me.

"Ha..." I took a deep breath, and she surely hears how loud it went out of my mouth. "Well, someone's lingering around my husband. She's getting on my nerves."

She laughed. "Now, your husband?"

"What about him?" I asked, furrowing my brows.

"He should do something to aid his jealous wife. He should've brought you somewhere, a little far away from that woman whom you were fearing at." She was right. Jeez, but Yul has already done that.

"Why do you think he brought us to this beach, lady? TSS. But the thing is, they are still together."

Someone knocked on my door, my kids are still playing with water and soap in the bathroom, so I kept on shouting. Damn.

"Let me call you back later, Kate."

I hung up the cal and went to the door.

It was a surprise to see her... bringing my drunk husband home.

"Hey! I'm really sorry. He's drunk a lot and he couldn't afford to go home," she said. Her voice is filled with sluttiness. Fuck it. FUCK HER!

My fist is clenching.

"You can leave now." But I have to stay still, keeping up my cool. If I ever let her see this weakness of mine, she could use this against me and I don't want that.

"What?" she said. But before she could've said anything else, I already took my husband away from her and shut the door.

Find me disrespectful or what, but I have to follow my guts.

"Hyeri! come over here, baby girl."

Surely, I needed an explanation. But I can't just leave my husband like this.

"Wifey... I need to go to my wifey..."

I slapped his face.

Tss, I wouldn't get swayed by that drunk talk he was having. I'm not stooping down that low.

"HYERI!" I shouted again.

They were so quiet, and all I can hear is Yaels' whimpering voice. Now, I can never hear his whisper. "Mommy..."

Hmmm, I think I might go ether and check.

"HYERI! Oh my god, what happened, Yael?! What did you do, boy?!"

I was lucky I have my phone in my hand so it's really easier to make a phone call.

"Please come to Casa 13, I have an emergency."

"Mom, it was not me!" Yael said, almost above a whisper, but he was trembling.

Damn, I couldn't think. My first response is to shout, though I know it wasn't a handful at all.

Yael is wailing.... argh.

Hyeri is lying on the floor unconscious, but no trace of blood. It seems like she was hit by some concrete. it was just a suspicion, I still need to get her check.

"I'm sorry, baby boy." I kissed his cheek and enveloped his body around my arms. "I was just panicking."

I felt a pang of guilt in my chest when I finally saw my kid's eyes. "Hyeri and I were just playing lively, Mom, when she slip."

He was now crying really loud. This is my fault for not looking at my children's welfare first. I shouldn't have thought about my husband earlier. If so, this could have been prevented from happening.

"Miss Yutengco, we're gonna get in."

Those people were from the clinic. They brought everything that they could be needed for first aid.

"Can you please help my child?" I said, now starting to panic again. Especially when I hear Yael's voice.

He was panicking again, feeling the pressure I might make him feel.

It wasn't my plan at all.

"Your kid is fine, Ms. Yutengco. But she needed a laboratory because her head is showing something we should get bothered at."

I can feel my hand, trembling.

My chest is beating so fast. What should I do if something bad happens to her? WHAT A STUPID MOM I AM!

"Please, do everything you can."

"You could go with us to the hospital in the ambulance. TYul's POV
