Yul's POV.
Did she just... help me? I've been rejecting her so many times before.
I felt so good with her saving kisses. I kind of liked it and wanted to taste it again.
It tastes like revenge.
But I don't want to make her feel used. She's a woman more than that.
I stepped backward.
"I'm sorry, Cara," I said. "You don't deserve this."
"Kissing before me wouldn't do any good, Yul." George finally reached our destination. I didn't answer and walked away.
Flint followed me, so George, Harry, and Cara were the only ones left at Jun's house.
ARGHH! She's undeniably making me feel so bad about myself. Grr.
This is crazy!
Why am I running away from her while she's the one trespassing on my farm?
I'm now inside my house, drinking a liter of water. This sudden meeting between us made me dehydrated.
I sat down on my couch, waiting for the turtle Flint to reach me after he followed.
I was surprised.
It wasn't just Flint who came... but also Cara. She was with George and Harry.
This is so awkward.
"I could use my room here, right?" she asked. I looked at George who was looking somewhere. Is she trying to avoid my gaze?
Jeez, how old school.
"Sure," I said. "Kindly fix your things and leave as soon as possible. It would help if you didn't start doing things that will soon affect my company. Especially right now. You're starting to receive uninvited visitors."
When I was about to leave, my gaze was lost on George. She's finally looking at me with so much hate, yet I feel so much love and jealousy. She cut the stares.
"I'm sorry, okay? Harry was one of my stockholders." Cara started to walk inside her room.
But before she finally went inside, I called her. "Actually, let's talk later."
Stockholder? How? So all this time that I'm dying to persuade Cara to invest in my company, MY OWN BEST FRIEND is even richer than her, but I was never swayed to go to him?
Or Harry is just doing this on purpose?
Did he know that I'm here?
Anyway, whatever.
"See you later, future lovey!" I felt the gracious tone of her voice change. I'm excited to know what will happen too... but not to her.
What does George think about us?
Is she starting to feel jealous now?
With what I plotted, she should be.
WHAT THE FUCK?!
ERASE!, ERASE!
I shouldn't be plotting anything.
Since I couldn't even find a comfort zone inside my own house, I went outside— to my garden from this position, I could see all of the workers, doing their best to construct my project.
"What are you doing here?" Flint brought me a cup of coffee. It's my favorite drink as of now.
"She's distracting me." I took a sip of coffee. "I still hope for something better. I still like her." I sighed.
Instead of bashing me 'cause of my weird wants and needs, he just tapped my shoulder and nodded.
"What else bothers you?" he asked. "Do you think you could always run away whenever they're around?" I looked at him, confused.
"What do you mean?"
"Bro, Harry and George, you will always see them. Especially because Harry is one of the biggest investors and stockholders.
Wherever you go, his name is always there. But then again he has George--- your ex-wife that's been distracting you in so many ways. You ran away from them and went here.
But you know what's even funnier? You will always bump into her. You couldn't always run away whenever it happened." He was serious, yet his words deeply cut me inside.
It was true.
I looked away from him and explored things around me. I thought this was the peace of mind that I needed. Yet, those people who brought chaos into my mind are now inside my house. AGAIN.
ARGH!
"I was weak, Flint. It's the best that I could do. Even if I sound pathetic, I would always do that to protect my peace." I took a sip of coffee. So many things are running all over my head. I realized that George easily replaced our family with that Harry, the idiot. After our children died? Really?
"Play the game as she did. Instead of protecting YOUR peace, why don't you ruin THEIR peace?" I'm getting engaged with Flint's plan. What was he thinking?
"Seriously? How am I gonna do that?"
----
Cara's POV.
"So you wanted to pull out your stocks from my company? Wait, did I hear you right or what?" I asked.
Now, I'm the one getting a headache.
"Yes, I would like to take them all out," Harry said.
"We should talk about this. I can't agree with your decision," I said. "But before we proceed, can we talk alone? Without this lady?"
I prefer to call her "bitch," but Harry will surely get mad so yeah, LADY is enough. Despite not having to deserve the title.
"Why? She's my other half in this business." Harry was not mad or anything, but he kind of did not like my decision to get George out of my room.
"Uhh, I just wanted to talk with peace. Her very presence is giving me goosebumps and weird awkwardness all over my body. You understand it, right?" Finally! Although he still looked agitated and nearly mad, I managed to get her out of the room.
George stood up nonchalantly and gave Harry a peck. I don't understand. George could easily go to another man, while Yul couldn't.
That's why I like him so much.
My heart suddenly beats so fast... 'cause I remember when he said earlier that I don't deserve to be used.
GOD DAMN IT!
"So, can we proceed?" he asked, I nodded.
"Tell me all your reasons why you wanted to pull out your stocks. First and foremost, we had a contract. It's sealed with both of our signatures. So your stocks will---"
"Because your company is getting low. I don't know why because you had the most power and highest-grossing company. In our contract, once I see the threat, I could pull my stocks. So before you get madly in love with Yul, and your company is still standing high, I'll get my stocks away from you." I clenched my fist.
Damn it... is Bella doing her job?
OMYGOD!
Bella is not around because of Helius.
Maybe this is the reason why I couldn't manage my company as fucking good as before.
"Give me a chance. A month or two, before you decided," I said. "If I'm still not getting the solution, you could get your stocks... twice."
He thought of it for a while. "Then what should I get for now?"
Damn, he's still not yet done. "Uhh, do you still need more?"
"Why? You're not capable of it?" He's testing my patience.
"Fine, this is just temporary. But I'm giving you the peace." His brows furrowed. It turned into a resounding laugh.
"Are you crazy? I always have my peace." He shook his head.
I smirked. "Really? Then why are they together again? Despite signing the divorce papers, they still had children."
Harry looked at my window and saw George and Yul, looking at each other.
I can't help but feel insecure. I SHOULD BE THE ONE GETTING THAT KIND OF STARE. But... why am I not getting it?
Wait, I should control my anger. HIS jealousy is what I needed for now.
He was about to go out but I stopped him. "You will not be worried if you agree."
It took him a minute before he decided.
"Just make sure you won't make a mistake."
I nodded. "So, it's a deal?"
"Deal."

Yul's POV.
"Oops, she's here," Flint said.
I looked behind me, with my thumping heart.
She rolled her eyes. But I remained my gaze.
I gulped.
I miss her so much. How could she do this to me?
But she hurt me. She cheated on me.
George couldn't endure the urge... she looked at me.
Is she longing for me as well?
"George---"
She raised her hand. "No, stop calling me with my name."
I nodded slowly.
"Are you really..." I gulped. "Are we really..."
"YUL!" Flint shouted. "Can we talk?" He didn't wait for my response, he just pulled me out of there. As he pulled me, my gaze stilled on her.
She did it too.
What's with that look?
Is she holding back?
Does she really want to cheat? Or does she want to come back to me?
Please... just come back.
Come back to me, George.
My wifey...
Flint stopped, and I felt my cheeks getting wet.
"I'm in pain, Flint." I'm looking at nothingness.
"Yes, you are. But you won't be staying in that zone forever. You won't be hurting forever. I will help you," he said. "Let's play the dirty game."
"YUL MATTHEW!" Cara shouted.
I was pulled back to reality when I heard her.
But before I kept my eyes on her, Flint whispered. "Why don't you use her feelings?"
"Are you serious?" my brows furrowed. "Are you okay, Flint? I couldn't do that to her."
Flint shook his head. "It's just letting her pay with all the madness she did to you."
Now I'm the one shaking my head. "I couldn't do that to her. She's not like that anymore!"
"Because she already has you. Wait, are you feeling guilty because she's starting to act like an angel?" he smirked. "Stop with all the assumptions, she paused her schemes because no one hindered her plan anymore. So while the water is still burning hot, jump into it."
