Chapter 78: Surprise Wedding

The grandeur of the moment enveloped me wholly, filling my heart with an overwhelming blend of excitement and nervousness.

Today was the day I’ve only dreamed of: the day I’m about to become a part of something bigger than myself. Someone stronger than myself. Today, I am Cassidy, the Alpha’s bride.

My heart raced like a wild stallion in my chest. But I disregard it. The most important thing today is I will finally become one with Zarion.

The sun is now descending low in the sky, casting a warm, golden glow across the cliffside where the ceremony would take place. The waves below crashed against the rocks in a rhythmic symphony, providing a soothing backdrop to the buzzing anticipation that hung in the air.

I’ve never been here before. This is my first time being here. And it brings a different joy knowing that Zarion took me to a place I’ve never been to on our wedding day.

As I stood near the edge, my ivory gown billowing gently in the breeze, my fingers trembling as they clutched the bouquet of white roses. My gaze was fixed on the path leading to the makeshift altar, where my soon-to-be husband would stand.

Alpha Zarion, a name that carried both strength and tenderness, was the man who had captured my heart in a way I had never imagined possible. I was once human. Not anymore.

“Luna Cassidy, you look beautiful,” said Beta Bridgette, my maid of honor. Zarion had secured this breathtaking location, this cliff overlooking the vast expanse of the Vestas Ocean, to mark the beginning of our new life together.

“I just wish my grandmother was here, you know.”

I stole a moment to take in the scene around me. Decorations adorned the area, white flowers and delicate drapery lending an ethereal charm to the natural beauty of the setting.

My heart swelled with gratitude for everyone who had worked tirelessly to make this day perfect.

As I peered over the edge of the cliff, my pulse quickened. My bridesmaids giggled and fussed over their dresses, and my eyes met those of my best friend, Beta Bridgette.

She shot me a reassuring smile as I shifted on my heel away from the cliff, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. We had shared so much over the months. Now, she was here to witness the most important moment of my life.

The sound of footsteps drew my attention. “Guess who?” the voice purred. I turned to see Alpha Zarion approaching me.

His presence alone commanded attention, his tall and imposing figure exuding an air of authority. But his eyes, oh, his eyes betrayed the tenderness within him. They locked onto mine as he drew near, a slow smile gracing his lips.

The world around me seemed to blur as we came face to face. Lovers’ meeting. In that moment, it was as if time stood still. It was just him and me, our hearts echoing a rhythm only we could hear.

His hand reached out, and I willingly placed mine in his, feeling the warmth of his touch seep into my very soul. “Are you ready for this, Cassidy?” His voice was a deep rumble, soothing and reassuring. Yet I smiled, nodded, my voice momentarily escaping me. “More than ready.”

As the sun finally dipped below the horizon, casting vibrant hues of orange and pink across the sky, the ceremony began. The words spoken by the officiant were a distant hum as I stared into Alpha Zarion's eyes. Vows were exchanged, promises made, and with each word, the weight of the world seemed to lift from my shoulders. I was no longer just Cassidy; I was Cassidy, his partner, his equal, his love.

Luna Cassidy Salem Bentley of the Volatile Hounds Pack, wife to Alpha Zarion and soon-to-be mother to his heirs in the future.

As the officiant declared us bonded in love, cheers erupted from the gathered crowd. The joy in the air was vivid, an electric current that connected all of us in that moment. Zarion's hand tightened around mine, and we turned to face the wolf pack—our family—all gathered to witness our union.

As they clasped their hands together, Zarion’s warm breath tickled my ears. “Till death do us part?”

I beamed at him, my smile a bright loving one. “Until death do us part.”

The reception was a whirlwind of laughter, dancing, and heartfelt toasts. The pack mingled, the air alive with celebration.

I stole glances at Alpha Zarion throughout the evening. With the moon bright, his presence ground me in the midst of the festivities. This was our day, a day that marked the beginning of a lifetime together.

With the starry sky above us, Alpha Zarion led me away from the crowd. We walked hand-in-hand along the edge of the cliff, the sound of the waves below a comforting lullaby. He stopped, turning to face me, his eyes intense in the fading light.

“Cassidy,” he began, his voice a tender whisper. “Today, you've made me the happiest Alpha alive. I promise to cherish you, protect you, and love you for all the days of my life.”

Tears welled up in my eyes, my heart too full for words. I leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. He bit his lower lip and looked at me. “Are you okay?” he asked, his voice soft now. The wedding was tiring, yes, but I shook my head at him. He looked at me. “Your eyes look tired. I'll walk you to your room.”

Your room? I chuckled at him. “Are you kidding me, Zarion? It’s not even midnight yet!”

I swallowed a lump in my throat and grabbed his nape. “Please go with me inside my room. I want you to claim me,” I whispered against his lips as our mouths met again.

“Goddamn it!” he exclaimed as I felt his hot lips passionately kissing me. Hungry and very, very wild.

My soul took flight, and no matter how hard I searched the heavens, I couldn't retrieve it. Not when Zarion is on me. “Zarion…” I moaned as I felt him bite my lower lip. His body was now in front of me, hand traveling down my neck while one grasped my breast, circling and teasing my nipple through the fabric of my clothing.

“Not here..” I beckoned. He bobbed his head and carried me to our room in a bridal-style carry. I did not know how the Goddess crafted this kind of bond. But I don’t care now. All I want is Zarion. I want him only, and when he carried me, it was as fast as a lightning. We are already in each other's arms inside my room on the second floor. I don't know how we managed to get inside but, again, I don’t give a fuck.

When we arrived at the door, he kicked and closed it with one swift motion of his foot. His touches returned to my skin. We were so intimately connected that I no longer cared about anything in this world but him.

“Uh, shit!” He stopped kissing me and I opened my eyes. Zarion looked at me with both adoration and desire. He laid me down on the sofa and closed my legs tightly. He shut his eyes in an instant, shaking his head before placing his knee between my legs and spreading them apart on the cold floor.

Zarion rewarded me with deep and passionate kisses once again. I grinned. I couldn't help but moan as his hand traveled to my shoulder and slowly lowered the strap of my garment. “I am gonna take you in now.” I couldn't speak due to the overwhelming sensations he was making me feel. One of his hands was on my breast, playing with it. Sucking it. Worshiping it.

It brought a new warmth and sensation that I had never experienced before in my life. It traveled from my neck down to my stomach, exploring every inch of my body.

“Goddess!” he exclaimed, and I heard the skirt of my bridal gown tearing as he tried to remove it.

My dress is fucking ruined. And Zarion’s fucking me now.
