Ella:
“Yeah,” We all cheered happily as we rushed out of the school after giving our last paper. Finally, the exams are finished. We all started throwing water balloons at each other. We were playing happily and just as I was running to chase after one of my classmates, I started feeling dizzy and fell heavily on the ground.
“Ahh,” I opened my eyes just to see myself in the car while Oliver was driving with a serious face. “What happened?” I asked in a low voice, my mouth was so dry that I couldn’t form a word properly.
“I had told you many times to eat properly Ella, can’t you see you’re getting weak day by day.” He said while glaring at me, this would be the first time in months that he looked damn serious while scolding me.
I know he cares for me but what can I do, if I am not able to eat.
“Oli…” As I opened my mouth, I started coughing violently and he handed me a water bottle. “Here, we’ll talk at home.” He said and I nodded after I got sober.
We drove to the home in complete silence, and I felt guilty because I made Oliver worried. So I decided to go to the doctor and have a complete check-up. I need to find out what’s wrong with me.
As Oliver parked the car, he got out, and then as I got out, he covered me with his jacket and I realized that my whole uniform was wet. The car’s heater was on, that is why I didn’t feel cold but now that I have stepped out of it I could feel the cold wind blowing my hairs and making me shiver.
I again felt too grateful to him and walked inside the home. “Oliver, I am sorry to make you worry. I will try my best to be a good girl now.” I said to him in a gentle tone and thankfully he half-smiled at me.
“Last time, I am sparing you.” He said as he pulled me and then gave a light peck on my cheek. “How did it go?” He asked and I asked back in confusion, “What?”
“Your last paper, fool.” He mocked me and I hit his arm angrily. “You are a fool,”
And he just laughed as he pulled away from me and walked to the main door, “Hey, where are you going?” I asked.
“I have some things to do, I will be back before dinner.” He said as he closed the door and left me alone. I looked at the clock on the wall, it showed 3 and dinner would be around 7 so I have 4 hours. I calculated the time and then after making my mind I went to my room to take a quick shower and change my clothes.

I was shaking my legs in nervousness waiting for my name to be called while staring at the clock on the wall. “Ella?”
Someone called my name and I immediately turned to the source from where the voice was coming, an older woman who looked like a nurse beckoned me to follow her and I obediently followed.
I went inside the room as she took my blood pressure, measured my weight and my height. I was 45 kg before and now it is 55, I was completely shocked to see that I have gained almost 10 kgs in a few months.
“So, What’s the problem? The doctor lady asked me, as I sat in front of her feeling nervous.
“I am feeling dizzy, and I couldn’t eat anything properly. If I eat something I would just throw it out. I don’t know what’s wrong, even my stomach feels like it's bloating.” I told her everything in one breath and then sighed in relief.
She noted down everything and then asked me to lie down so she could check me, “So when was your last period?” She asked while inspecting my body.
“Uhmm, a month ago. I don’t remember the fixed date.” I told her and she hummed, “yes” while keep pressing my stomach looking for the gas, I think.
“Here, go and pass urine in this.” She said while handing me a bottle. I nodded my head with no idea what was going on and did as she said.
After 10 minutes, I was called again into her room. “So Ella, what’s your age?” She asked me carefully.
“18 turning 19 in 2 months,” I told her, truthfully.
“Hmm, so do you have a sex partner?” She asked bluntly and I felt embarrassed to answer her but still, as it is the saying you can’t hide the disease from the doctor so I simply nodded my head.
“Yes, I have a boyfriend,” I told her, Oliver is a boyfriend right? I thought.
“Ok, so after testing your urine, it showed that you are pregnant Ella.” The doctor dropped the news and my mouth fell open wide.
“What?” I could barely form a word and gasped.
“Yes, we need to do a blood test also just to make it 100% sure, and then we would go for the ultrasound.” She told me, and I nodded blankly.
With wobbled legs, I walked to the test room and the nurse drew my blood. I felt numb all over as I waited outside the room for the results to come.
I hoped that the blood report would come negative and it was all a mistake showing my test as Positive. I just hoped I am not pregnant. No God please no, not at this time.
I was hell afraid when the doctor again called me inside, “The reports have come.” She said and then paused as I waited for her to continue while feeling impatient.
“You’re indeed Pregnant, Miss Ella.”
BOOM
I felt like my knees had given up and suddenly a heavy rock was pressed onto my chest as I started losing my balance and held the chair to steady myself but it wasn’t of any use as I fell heavily on the chair while my eyelids started drooping.
Please someone tell me that I am hallucinating. Please.
