“You don’t deserve her, You have ruined her innocence and every happiness in her life…”Oliver's loud voice brought me back to my senses.
I tried to focus on those flames that were showing me the past and there I saw Oliver throwing the petrol all over the room while Gael was yelling loudly burning in fire.
After throwing the can away, with a gaze that held loathe for Gael, Oliver walked out of the room to the stairs to pick me up, who was completely unconscious at that moment.
Just when he stepped out with me in his arms, the wind glass shattered from the excessive fire, and there I saw a white bright light escaping the house and then suddenly vanish into the air.
“Ahhh…”I gaped, shocked.
Just before I could ask anything, the old woman threw something and the flames extinguished. “His soul survived…”The old woman revealed with an ugly smirk on her face.
I couldn’t think of anything as I asked with joy, “Where is he? Where is Gael?”
The old woman again threw something in the boiling pot and a white bright light shone out from it, making the whole darkroom bright in just a few seconds.
Before I could get a chance to blink my eyes, I was up in the air with bright lights around me, embracing me, protecting me, I panicked at first but when I heard a deep gentle voice whispered near my lips, I couldn’t hide my happiness as I squealed with joy, “Gael…”
And there I felt something on my lips as I closed my eyes and tried to feel him, his touch, his voice, and that intensity of our closeness. I know it isn’t anything If I compared it the way we were before but I am happy that at least Gael is here.
His soul survived and that means I still have a chance to be with him. I know it’s stupid and crazy for me to think like this but love doesn’t have any boundaries why is it necessary to fall in love with humans why can’t I love a soul?
“Take me somewhere, where no one would see us,” I whispered in a low voice and there I started getting higher, and soon I was flying high and fast, and instead of fearing it, I was giggling, laughing with overjoyed happiness.
Gael’s presence was giving me a kind of calmness and peace that I yearned for a long time.
Gael finally lowered my body to the ground and as soon as my feet touched the ground, I stumbled a bit, and there that white bright light again embraced me and didn’t leave me until I got stable.
I smiled as I could sense his care and love for me. “I am okay..”I announced loudly as I held up my arms and then spun around with a wide smile on my face.
And there I heard a laugh, a laugh that I haven’t heard much before. Hearing his voice made me so overwhelmed that my tears of joy instantly started coming out of my eyes.
And then something unexpected happened that completely fades away my tears and the smile again appeared on my face.
The place where I was standing was in the middle of a forest, it was dark all around except the bright light of Gael’s soul that was surrounding me and when I started crying suddenly a small pair of lights started surrounding the whole forest making it bright and a fairytale from a paradise.
The lights were joined as the words and when I focused on them, it showed “I LOVE YOU”
“I Love you too…”I yelled loudly as I gave a bear hug to myself imagining I am hugging Gael and soon his soul surrounded me at which I chuckled.
And then after walking around in the embrace of his soul, my phone beeped and there I slapped myself irritatedly, “F**k, I totally forgot about Miss Van.”
“I need to go back Gael, someone is waiting for me,”I shouted aloud and suddenly I was in the air and then dropped to that old woman’s house again.
I frowned when I see her again but I don’t have a choice maybe Gael has something to tell me through her.
“Ella…”The ugly woman said and then held my hand. I wanted to pull back my hand but I didn’t and tried to stay calm while she talked with me, “My curse had worked on you… Here, always wear this on you.”She put a pendant in my palm and I stared at it blankly.
Before I would open my mouth, the old woman continued, “This will keep the devil with you, you have his powers and now his soul, remember to always remove this before you go to sleep.”She said in a warning tone and I frowned unhappily.
“What does it mean?”I asked curiously and then she revealed with that same ugly smirk on her face, “Because when you’ll sleep, he will awake…”
BOOM
She snapped her fingers and there I was back at the place where everyone was talking and enjoying their time. I felt stunned looking at everyone, it didn’t seem like I had left them for hours, in fact, it felt like I never left the place.
Was I dreaming? I thought and then pinched my arm. “Oww…”F**k it hurts.
“Oh, Ella, Van told me you had gone to visit friends? Didn’t you meet them?”Francis came over to me and asked.
“Visit friends?”I said in a whisper, completely surprised by myself.
“Yup, she asked for a drive from me if in any case, you would stay longer, but it seems you haven’t met them otherwise why would you return back after a few minutes huh?” Francis kept a cigarette between his fingers and then lit it up while telling me all the things that I really don’t have any idea about but from his words, one thing is for sure I did leave this place but did I really go to find my friends or I had slept in the car?
“Are you ok?”Francis asked me in concern and I shook my head, “Oh yeah, I am completely fine… Just wanted to rest before I drive..”I told him and then turned to the car.
I sat in the car, my mind was getting heavy as I held it and then tried to remember what just happened to me? As I pondered with my thoughts something caught my attention.
The pendant, the pendant that the old woman had given to me, was lying neatly on the seat. I immediately held it up and touched it with my fingers to be sure that it was real, not my hallucination.
Feeling that cold metal pendant, I realized one thing that what happened before wasn’t a dream but the truth.
The truth is that Gael hasn’t left me, his love for me hasn’t ended, and his soul has survived and has come back to me.
Gael, his powers, his soul, everything now belongs to me, only me.
