Jared was on his usual aggressive driving mode and Daphne at some point, wondered why no cops had pulled him over and written him a note. But that was the least of her problems. They were getting near to the city and she's nervous about that. She hopes she doesn't see anyone that knows her. Especially her formal friends and toxic ex boyfriend.
She was glad they moved but things got worse in their new home.
Jared had been completely silence but quite rough like an attention seeker.
When they were at the gas station, he was shuffling things and looking for something like a mad man but Daphne found it attractive in some kind of way. It gave her pictures in her mind.
They continued the ride in another abrupt silence.
"How long do I have to wait for you to see your mother?" Jared asked breaking the silence.
"Oh...I won't take long. Twenty minutes would be fine." Daphne replied waving her hand.
"Do you have nightmares about your father?" Jared asked remembering that time he saw her at the witch's home. Probably, she wanted to get sleeping potions so she'd sleep better cause he doesn't want to believe she was planning on doing something bad to him.
"Yes." Daphne simply replied since she had once had a nightmare about him.
"Oh..."
"Why did you agree to bring me here? Since you are so mean and strict." She asked looking at his hair.
"I don't know. I just feel like getting out of town." He replied with a sigh.
"So, you should be grateful to me." She grinned attempting to pull his legs.
"I'm the one doing all the driving. What exactly should I thank you for?" Jared scoffed although he was amused.
"First, you got your golden opportunity to live town by bringing me here. Second, you get to enjoy my company during this ride. Although I don't talk, I definitely have the best aura for you to delight in. Third, isn't it a lovely weather today? If not for me, you won't be seeing this amazing sight. Forth...."
"That's enough. I'm annoyingly convinced now. Thank you all great Daphne — the one that can still be annoying even in the face of pain and danger." He interpolated much to her agitation.
"Stop talking about the event like it's something to be proud of. Why do you keep saying it like I'm still being abused?" Daphne yelled gradually loosing it.
"I'm saying it because your father will soon be released and it will be like nothing ever happened. He has the influence and there's nothing people around can do to save you." He deadpanned not watching his words in anyway.
He is blunt as hell. It's something he can't control.
"Stop the car." Daphne ordered with an angry look.
"No way. I'm not stopping. My car, my rules. You'll deal with it until we get to the hospital." He blurted pressing a button and all the doors locked.
He sped up causing a panic rush in Daphne. She can't believe she actually admired this jerk who can't understand what she's going through.
She couldn't hold back the tears as they streamed down on her cheeks wetting her face.
She sniffles quietly with her head lowered.
Jared saw this from the rearview mirror and he stopped the vehicle in a screeching halt.
"It doesn't call for tears." He told her in an icy voice.
Daphne cried the more as her tone increased. Jared removed the seatbelt and climbed over to the backseat in a flash. Luckily, the road was empty and cars only passed in a drop like manner.
He took her into his arms and rubbed her shoulders. He consoled her without using any words.
After a few minutes, Daphne was feeling better and no longer a crying mess.
"We will help you. He will face sentence for hurting you. You don't have to worry." He assured her as he got back to driving.
"You so cruel." Daphne muttered looking out the window. She was upset with the things he told her. Was he always like that?
His phone beeped and he looked into it. He doesn't say anything but placed it back where it was.

Drama Day
•
The auditorium was filled with guests as the first musical choir presented their song. The drama team was back stage getting ready.
Daphne was working alongside Mr Sebastian as they made sure everything was perfect and kept rightly. Umbrie rehearsed with the others too.
She was looking stunning in her white dress with blue belt and a silver crown on her head.
Keiran and his friends were in the audience watching.
The play finally started and everyone executed their lines perfectly. Everyone watching was filled with excitement and good judgment towards the play.
It was finally time for the final scene. The scene with only Terry and Umbrie.
They were together on stage holding each other's hands.
They said their lines and as they bought their head together slowly for a pose to end the play, Terry slammed his lips on Umbrie's — kissing her in a savoring manner.
There was loud cheers from the audience as they sealed the end scene. However, a guy sitting in the crowd was ready to kill someone that second.
