Chapter Shocking revelations

"Why are you doing this to her?" Angela asked sounding as if she was really concerned about me which I didn't believe for one bit.

"Yeah, what's your deal?" Aldrin asked still holding onto the table which Delight hadn't exactly let go of either.

"My deal? Well, I would like you to know that my deal is with Alya and not some lunatic who has a freak crush on her. So if you know what is best for you, you would just mind your own business and if you don't want to, I am pretty sure Alya here wouldn't hesitate to break your nose once more," Delight said deliberately bringing up things that she most likely thought would agitate Aldrin and force him to reconsider helping me.

I was quite surprised that he chose to help me though. It seemed almost impossible to believe. I still didn't believe it even though he was standing there basically helping me. And I couldn't help but wonder what exactly Delight meant by him having a freak crush on me.

"If you have a problem with Alya, you can settle it elsewhere. This is our classroom and you aren't even in your class. So stop disorganizing our class please," Aldrin said keeping a blank expression which made me wonder if what Delight said had any impact on him.

"Exactly!" Angela said in a loud voice that made me cringe. "Leave our class right now! You don't have any right to be here!"

Delight was about to reply her when Alesscia entered the class with Mrs. Adedeji.

"What is going on here?" She questioned on entry. She observed the class, her eyes moving from me to Delight to Aldrin who was standing behind her.

"I'll tell you ma'am, Delight is trying to injure Alya. She just pushed that table to hit Alya's leg on purpose! And she tried to do it again and would have if Aldrin didn't stop her. She isn't even in this class to begin with," Angela said.

"Is that true Adeoye?" Mrs. Adedeji asked Delight.

"Of course it's true. You don't expect her to admit that she did anything, do you? The proof is right in front of you, Alya's leg is badly injured and she should be getting it treated right now but you prioritize questioning a psycho who should be spending time in a correctional institute rather than school where she would be..."

"Attah I think I have heard enough and mind your tone, I am still your teacher in case you have forgotten and I am only tolerating your nonsense because there is a bigger issue that I must deal with," Mrs. Adedeji said interrupting Angela who just put on a scowl and folded her arms underneath her bossom in a comic way.

"Adeoye, to the principal's office now!" She said once she had returned her attention to Delight.

"Are you okay dear?" She asked me with sudden concern. I nodded. "Take her to the nurse's office," she instructed Alesscia who just nodded. Delight had made no move to obey Mrs. Adedeji's instructions and I feared that she might try to hit the table against my leg again as I attempted to leave the place.

Thankfully, she didn't. As I was leaving the class with Alesscia assisting me while I limped, Angela suddenly joined us. As she attempted to aid me, I unintentionally pulled away taken aback by her sudden act of kindness.

For as long as I had known her, she had been really good friends with Chiamaka and Delight.

"What's wrong?" She questioned sounding as if it was perfectly normal for her to suddenly offer me her help.

"I don't think Alya needs your assistance. I can help her get to the nurse's office. Thanks by the way," Alesscia offered an answer for me while smiling at Angela.

"Oh! It's totally fine. You don't mind if I come with you guys because I am really worried about Alya. Besides you two might still need help," she said to Alesscia. I was about to tell her that she was not needed when Alesscia nodded.

She let out a small squeal while accompanying us out of the class. After the nurses present there, who really didn't look like they had a clue what they were doing, did whatever examining they claimed they were doing, I was eventually shipped to get tests to determine if I had fractures or not, which luckily, I didn't have any.

I was allowed to rest in my hostel room for the rest of the day if I felt like I wasn't fit enough to return to my class. I gladly jumped at the offer even though I knew I should have been in class to at least catch up with all the works I had missed while on my break from school.

I ended up falling in and out of brief naps characterized mostly by lucid dreams. When I finally woke up and checked the time, it was around the time for school over.

I heard a knock on the door and headed to the door to unlock it. I was surprised to find Angela standing there when I opened the door.

"Hi!" She said walking into the room while observing it as if it was the first time she was being in there.

"I think I like this new color," she commented. "How are you feeling now?"

"Good," I said intending to be as curt as possible.

"Kk. I was just really worried, Delight is just nuts. I can't believe she actually did that to you! If you ever need any help, you can always come to me," she said. I just stared at her. Why in the world would I ever consider going to her for help? As per friends or... what exactly?

"Sure."

She stayed around for a while and eventually left.

"Just watch one more!" Alesscia insisted earning the stink eye from me. I really appreciated her company but I didn't agree with her choice of movies. After a successful week in school (by successful I mean reduced attention and no Chiamaka), Alesscia decided to sleep over at school which she claimed to be doing only because of me.

Since it was a Friday and school dismissed pretty early, she came to my room insisting that we watched movies. I didn't know then that her definition of a good movie was a movie where either one or all characters were sick.

Since one pm, she had forced me to sit through movies like Life in a Year, Five feet apart, Clouds and the Fault in our stars. It was already late and although I really didn't want to watch one more movie about someone sick or dying, I also didn't want her to leave because that would mean me staring at the ceiling for the rest of the night.

The movies weren't really bad... well, not all of them. I totally agreed with the male lead's father in Life in Year, he was truly ruining his future. I mean, who falls in love with someone who is sure to die in less than a year?!

Then I found five feet apart relatively boring although I did love the male lead, I absolutely despised the female lead. Ultimately, the movie was just, there. I didn't fancy clouds until I found out it was a real life story which made it all the more sadder. I really felt touched for once in my life at Zach's kinda prom.

And then I totally despised both male and female leads of the fault in our stars leading to my lack of interest in the rest of the movie.

"Okay, I am sure you won't actually hate this one. No one is sick in the movie," Alesscia said in a convincing voice.

"Really? What's the name?" I asked half interested.

"I really don't know if you would like it but there aren't any cancer or cf patients. The name is End..."

"Sorry to interrupt you two but I need to have a word with Alya," I suddenly heard Isa's voice cutting Alesscia off. Both me and Alesscia turned to Isa, the only constant roommate I had had for a week.

Kaira had been more of an off and on roommate, she would be present today and then disappear the next day. Then Chiamaka had been completely missing since I came back from my suspension.

"Okay, you can say whatever you want to," I said to her. She stood nervously for a while before beginning.

"First of all, you have to promise not to kill me..."

"Why should she make such a promise?" Alesscia asked Isa who kept glancing around the room as if there was someone hidden who could hear us.

"Actually..." Isa started saying but trailed off and went silent for quite a long while.

"Do you really have anything to say or you just want to waste our time?" Alesscia snapped.

"No, no... It's just that I have seen Alya punch Chiamaka and I don't want to get hurt. What I am about to say might really annoy you but please don't hit me," she pleaded. "At least not until I am done saying what I want to," she added as an after thought.

I nodded eager for her to get over whatever she wanted to say.

"Okay... So I might not say the whole story in detail but... Here goes nothing," she said with a sigh. I could already see Alesscia losing interest.

Isa hesitated for a while before she began talking. "You know that, I mean, those pictures of you that were like shared to the group chat... Well, the thing is- please don't hit me yet- but I might have sort of kind of been the one who sent those pictures to the group."

She kept silent for a while as her words sank into our heads.

"You did what now?"
