“Ice, I’m busy now.”
He had put the call on speaker and indulged me with a daring stare.
I held my breath. Over the phone, I presumed Ice, who was his secretary, was either playing dumb or was really innocent. In the silence of his office, the thrusts he made in my well-lubricated cavity were just so unmistakable.
“But Sir..”
“Later.”
The phone clicked.
“Moan, Piper.”
“They’ll hear,” I whispered, and he chuckled. It wasn’t the first time he had humped a woman here, I supposed.
He slid a finger along my g-spot.
“Do you like this, Piper?”
“Mmm,” I muffled a moan from coming out of my mouth. I could barely think in this scenario. I could barely hold it in.
He increased the intensity between us, compelling me to moan. At that point, I totally gave up and let myself loose.
“Piper, I think I’m getting addicted to you. What will I do, when I have to go on that trip?”
I couldn’t answer him because I was losing myself to the ecstasy that overrode my senses as he conquered my everything. My body, mind and soul. Being Kaiser’s woman was that stepping stone I needed to get what I wanted, but I realised I was being pulled into the bermuda’s triangle of lust.
It made me feel that I belonged there, in some way.
Someone knocked on the door this time, when he released right inside me. As usual, I got up and headed right to clean it up in the adjoined bathroom. The door opened just as I entered the bathroom, and I heard a woman’s voice. It wasn’t Gri. In fact, the voice was rather chirpy, like a teenager.
“Kai, they told me you were here. Are you busy with work right now?”
I wondered who the girl was and her relationship with Kaiser. Kaiser had done it with many girls and it wasn’t surprising if the girl was one of them. But she was a little different from the rest. With her immaturity, I knew she wouldn’t suit Kaiser’s strong and picky taste buds.
“Maca, I still have a lot of things to do. Why don’t you go home first and I’ll call you later?”
I opened the door slightly so that there was a small crack where I spied on the girl. Kaiser had his hands on the girl’s shoulders and her style of dressing made me think she was a bimbo. I took a deep breath.
“Don’t dive in deeply in this relationship, Piper. You’re only here for revenge.”
That inner voice was telling the truth. I should have known what I was here for. I leaned against the bathroom wall with a heavy heart, wondering what to do now. At this time, there was no news of Lenard Lee’s triad or where he planned to strike from. I was clueless and it was like my life was just passing by. I felt like a cripple; unable to do anything.
I was still watching them. I witnessed vividly how Kaiser stroked her hair, and a tinge of discomfort hit me. It was six months since we had been together, but no girl had ever made me envious of Kaiser like how she did. The way Kaiser touched her was like he truly cared. Not with those girls he took to bed once.
In fact, the way he treated her made me reconsider my position in his heart. Kaiser only said he owned me. In spite of his jealousy, he had never admitted he loved me. Everything he did for me, was in his benefit, otherwise, in KK Sols’ best interests.
“Don’t worry, Maca, I will make him pay. I’ll avenge you, for what he did unto you. But right now, you need to go home and stop thinking about that jerk.”
Thoughts rebounded in my mind. Was that ‘him’ Lenard Lee, and was that girl he just caressed another of his victims?
When I came out fifteen minutes later, the girl was gone.
“What took you?” Kaiser asked, looking up from his notebook. “Look, I’ve just got a call for another meeting.”
He got up from his desk without waiting for my answer. “I’ll see you back here after lunch.”
With that wealthy billionaire wealth he had, would I even have the least bit of importance to him? I questioned myself. Why did he bring me here, to let me hear his conversation with his childish lover?
Lastly, did he genuinely want to help me bring down Lenard Lee, or was it just something he achieved on the way, because of that girl?
My heart sank.
It was time for me to consider the next step of my plan, I thought, and immediately without thinking further, I called Mac Theron.
Mac Theron was an investigator and hacker that could find out any secret about anyone in City X. Without any benefit, he wouldn’t even agree to anyone’s request, being the hot shot PI he was. I forked out some of my savings for him to agree to do some ‘work’ for me, and had repeatedly harassed him to change his mind.
At first, he was insistent on not taking up the case, saying he was busy, but after a night, for a reason unknown to me, he contacted me.
“I need to know everything I can about Sherry Summers,” I informed him calmly.
“Sherry Summers?” He repeated after me. “Did I get that right?”
“Absolutely.”
“This Sherry Summers, was she not your friend?”
It was clear he had been investigating me as a client, which I found understandable. At least, he would know who he was dealing with.
“Was. Take note of the past tense,” I said coldly. “Some people can not just be trusted.”
“Now, this is something interesting. Because of my curiosity, I have decided to take on your business.”
“Glad to hear that.” I crossed my legs as I spoke. “Money isn’t the problem. I just need to know whatever you can find about her.”
“Give me three days at the most.”
Three days later, he provided me with a box of photographs, a whole file of Sherry’s call logs and message history, but what interested me was the album that came with yearbooks of her high school.
He enlightened me about her past and how she was bullied during high school, leading to the insecure freak she was right now. Her high school bully was now a billionaire that was considered the richest billionaire in his twenties in the whole of Asia. But what was bewildering was how he and Sherry had history.
“So, we kill two birds with one stone,” Mac said. It turned out, this man was offering a handsome sum of money to get Sherry. It would disappoint him so much that the girl from his teenage years was now a married woman with children.
“He’s also very ruthless,” Mac said. “He won’t hesitate to do what he can for what he wants.”
While Kaiser was away for his business meeting, I dialled Mac and asked him for an update of his liaison with the billionaire.
“It went well. He has even awarded me with a handsome sum of money, thanks to the information you provided to me about Sherry Summers’ new identity. Think of it as a good deed as we will be matching them up perfectly.”
It was not going to be a happy reunion, I knew. I smiled sinisterly.
“Yes, we’re going to do a good deed this time.”
I knew the billionaire was not going to let her go like that. He was a forceful and narcissistic person. Goodness knows what he would do, just to get her. He might even hurt those around her for his greed.
If I was him, neither would I show leniency about my fruitful attempts of looking for someone that I longed for a decade, only to find she now belonged to another. I would also do my part, as Kaiser suggested. He had shown me how cruel he could be when he ordered Scarlet to be punished severely. I believed similarly, he had shown Syl no tolerance when he promised me he would put an end to Syl’s harassment.
I heard a knock and promptly ended the call. Upon opening the door, I saw Ice with a cup of coffee that he prepared for me. Only Kaiser knew of my preference for that brand and flavour of coffee, and thus I knew Kaiser had sent him.
“Is there something?” I queried after a sip of the flavorful beverage.
Ice bowed. He didn’t look a day over twenty, and his young age made me wary of his relationship with Kaiser.
“Did Kaiser send you to check up on me?”
“Yes.” He bowed again.
“Is there something you would like to ask me, Ice?” I asked, making myself sound as kindly as possible.
“It’s about Sir Kaiser..” he stammered. “I hope you can… trust him. No woman has ever.. Ever..”
I realised suddenly that Ice was uneasy towards me. Perhaps he acted this way with women. But him acting this way would just make things a lot harder. I sought a way to reduce his discomfort.
“Ice, please don’t be afraid. Maybe you can think of me as an older sister, or a family member. I can see that you think highly of Kaiser.”
He looked up at me scaredly.
“Kaiser has never brought a girl to the office before?” I asked him in a kind voice.
He shook his head. “Sir Kai..Kaiser likes you a lot. Believe him… He just doesn’t want to say it…”
I couldn’t believe what Ice was saying. Hadn’t a girl just come in to see him? Brusquely I voiced my doubts, caring less about Ice’s timidness.
“What about the girl earlier? Didn’t she come here to see Kaiser?”
“She… she is his family.”
