Seven o'clock had Kaiwan on a call that night.
"How's your health these days?...You're eating well, right?...The nights are still chilly, so don't forget to wear a jacket....I'll bring some good food over soon, so take it easy until then. Okay, see you later."
He'd barely hung up when Josh rushed to his office like someone who'd seen a frightened ghost.
"Inspector...there's an incident at red bomb club now."
He frowned. "What kinda incident?"
Josh gulped and he could see the fear in his eyes. "A vam...vampire..."
"Let's head out."
Back at the club, a smile crossed Lucian's face.
"Did you think you were the only pureblood?"He asked.
The pureblood didn't seem anything special. He could make out her movements and her strength is weaker than he expected from a true pureblood.
It then occurred to him that she wasn't weak, but he was the outstanding one. He'd probably grown without him realizing it.
The dark age where vampires have made their appearance is an age that was created by a vampire called The Master.
He separated the country into seven territories and placed the strongest vampires in each and had them rule as the 'angels of death'.
After seating the sixth angel of death, he set out for a war zoned territory.
Since it was all full of extremely vicious vampires, the battles in that region had been long and bloody.
But it all ended when one man came.
Lucian.
The bloody battle among vampires that had lasted one year suddenly came to an end when he appeared and it had only taken him two days to get the other vampires to subject themselves under him.
That was when he'd been given the Master's gift, the gift of a pureblood.
Master blood's.
Combining the genes of a higher being caused one to be reborn as a superior existence.
Thus, a vampire who drank the blood of a pureblood, which served as an amplifying agent, will grow stronger beyond belief.
"What the..." She looked completely shocked as her voice trailed off.
"Bring it on, I'll kill you with the power of a lion and engrave that into your bones, so you'll never forget it. This is the difference between you and..." He was saying when she launched another of her swift attacks on him.
"Wait a sec, I was still talking..."He protested.
"And I was wondering what moving speech you were going to make, but I just can't stand listening to your bullshit anymore." she snapped and charged at him.
He did well in blocking her attacks and dodging some, following the pre-movements of her arms but he suddenly missed the timing, giving her the chance to send a punch to his stomach.
What was this power? It was the first time he'd felt anything like that even after defeating hundreds and thousands of vampires but there was one thing that served as an advantage.
"pureblood, there is one thing you failed to notice. This is my home ground."
"You talk too much." She said and came flying his way when he swiftly moved to to put out all the lights and the music.
Even if she was a pureblood, she wasn't going to be able to concentrate on this situation. The club was his play house so he knew the nook and cranny of the club even if he was blindfolded.
His intention was to lure her to the stage and deal with her in a go. He'd then present her heart to the Master and receive an effortless praise again.
He was still fantasizing about his plan when someone touched him from behind and he could feel the person pulling the lips to his ear.
"Didn't I tell you?...You can't hide the smell of blood."
A cold bead of sweat crawled down his face.
"What do I do?" He wondered and noticed he couldn't move nor speak. He was done for.
This was completely different from a while ago. If she had this amount of strength, why didn't she use it from the beginning?
The lights came back on and he was able to see her face.
"Why do you think I haven't used my full power?" She asked, but he was not a bit interested in whatever she had to say. As of the moment, he was only concerned with freeing himself from whatever spell she had him on.
'You see the higher you are, the higher you fall. You felt like you were flying on air while you played with other people's life, right? It's now time to fall." She said, making a motion to flick her hand.
No, he was completely screwed. That was his method of killing vampires. No vampire had ever survived from his finger flick. She was going to kill him.
"Ack...stop..."He stuttered as he tried to move his body.
She flicked her finger and he went colliding with one of the club's poles with a swollen head.
He felt a shadow cover him and in pains,he looked up to see the pureblood raising her fist to punch him. He opened his mouth to played for mercy but no words could come out. He was at a dead end.
She sent him crashing into the door that led to his personal space, breaking walls as he went
"I said stop it."He screamed when he finally found his voice.
She walked up to him, with a murderous glare in those blue eyes of hers.
"Don't think it'll over just because you got rid of me. Just to obtain your heart, vampires across the country will follow you into hell...It was the father this time, right?...Wherever you are, they'll follow you and kill everyone around you."He panted, blood seeping out of his mouth
"It's okay. Since I'll go and rip them apart before they come to me." She said and gave him a hit which sent him evanescing.
Her thumping heart seemed to slow down and her curled fist finally released.
The blaring of sirens could be heard the next minute and officers alighted their cars to surround her.
"Hands up." An officer said and she slowly raised her hands.
"Who are you?"
"Turn around, slowly."A voice which she recognized as Kaiwan's,said.
