~Isadora.
I have always known myself to be hot tempered and I have always done my best to always keep my anger in check, but right now, as I stormed back home, there was nothing I could do to keep the anger coercing through me down. I did not want to keep it down anyway.
I wanted to feel the anger, to see the red and let the anger flow through me so that I can be able to yell out my frustrations without holding myself back. If only I hadn't worked too hard, I would have let it slide but, I could not because I did an enough hard work.
I burst the door open once I got to the house and slammed it behind me immediately while running my eyes through the house in search of my boyfriend.
“That was quite unusual,” he chuckled, peeking at me from that kitchen.
Gritting my teeth, I threw my bag on the couch and stormed towards him.
“But anyway, you are just in time for lunch,” he said without looking up as he laid out our plates on the dinning table, “I was free this afternoon and I thought to do something nice for us. I initially wanted us to go out for lunch, but I decided against it and cooked instead. You love my cooking,” he chuckled and when I did not give a response, he turned to me, “what?”
“Did you know? You know, didn't you?” My chest rose and fell and this time, I clenched my fists to keep my anger down. I felt it coercing through my body, and it was just more than I could handle.
Keenan chuckled in confusion, “you are turning red, babe. Would you like to take a sea-”
“No, I do not want to sit down, Keenan!”
“Oh, you are one angry bear this afternoon. Have I done something wrong?”
I stalked towards him as I chewed my teeth, “just answer the damn question, you dickhead.”
He raised his brows as he dumped the kitchen towel on the table, “I would advise you to watch your language, darling.” He pulled out a seat and dropped himself into it. “What is all this fuss about?”
“Aurora! And her son. When were you planning on telling me about that?”
“What are you talking about?”
“Do not act ignorant with me, Keenan!”
He ground his teeth as he dragged his eyes up to me, “you are yelling, Isadora. You know how I get when you yell. Calm the fuck down and explain to me what you are talking about.”
“Aurora has a child. A son!”
“And you are angry at me because?”
"Are you dumb, Keenan? Don't you get it? Aurora has a son for Ethan. The impotent king! Do you know what that means?”
“And you are sure he is Ethan's because?”
“The child is fucking ten years old. Aurora and Ethan were involved ten years ago, Keenan,” his eyes widened, and I sighed and slumped into the seat opposite him, “I have worked too hard for this for Aurora to come out of nowhere and snatch away.”
“I already told you, Aurora would not be a problem. I will take care of her.”
“Yeah, well, Aurora would not be a problem, but her son sure will!” I pushed off the chair and began pacing.
“That is not possible, Aurora cannot have a child for Ethan, they have not had contact in the past years, I am certain about that.”
“The child is ten fucking years old, Keenan, did you not hear me the first time? This happened before she ran off.”
“How…but, I can swear I handled it properly. I swear,” he muttered, but the words didn't fail to reach my ears.
I gasped and looked up at him in shock, “really? So you really did know she had a child.”
“But handled it properly back then, I did my best to make sure that the child didn't see the light.”
“What do you even mean by that?”
He stood up and began pacing, and I shifted to a corner to let him have the floor, “shortly after you and Ethan got married, Aurora wrote a letter to Ethan stating that she was pregnant for him, which, I thought, might be true because Aurora was only involved with Ethan. So, I sent a letter back to her telling her that she should terminate the child. I made it seem like I was Ethan and sealed the letter with the royal seal.”
I hurried towards him, “and?”
“That is just it,” he shrugged, “I gave her that letter and after a week, I learned that she was missing.”
“You. Fucking. Idi-” I choked on my words as Keenan's hands wrapped around my throat in a split second and placed me flat against a wall.
“Baby, you know I don't like when you use that tone with me.” My face turned red, but, this time, it was from my inability to breathe.”
“Keenan,” I mouthed, the sounds falling to escape my lungs. Keenan's grip on my tightened, my feet hovering above the floor, and I clawed at his shirt for freedom. He dropped my as he let go of my me, and I greedily sucked in a sharp breath, almost wheezing as I rubbed my throat.
“I did what was best at that time. What else was I supposed to do?” He threw his hands up in the air. Sharply, he turned towards the stove and turned it off, almost as the content of the pot began to pop.
“I don't know,” my voice came out strained, and I coughed, “drag her to a fucking forest and serve her parts to the vultures.”
Keenan turned to me with a raised brow and chuckled in disbelief, "your SISTER was PREGNANT.” he stressed.
“The fuck I care! I am better off without her in my life.”
“She was fucking pregnant.”
“Again, I do not. Fucking. Care.” I said as I took slow steps towards him.
He chuckled again, “maybe, if you start being less vile, you would be able to grow a life in that dead womb of yours.”
I gasped and took some steps back. A sharp pain cutting through my chest, forcing tears into my eyes and I blinked to keep them from falling.
“Keenan,” the name escaped my lips in a whisper, “Keenan you can't say that, we have a child.”
“Yeah, yeah. Except I would be fucking touching the stars if he had been mine.”
“Keen-” He raised a finger, hushing me.
“It would really be a funny story when the people learn that 'the impotent king' has two healthy sons, wouldn't it?” Glaring at me, he picked up the kitchen towel and wiped his hands before dumping it back on the table, “if you don't mind, I would like to go and take care of my mess. For both our sake. Enjoy your lunch.” He stormed out and banged the door behind him.
