ZACK’S POV
We got to the high school after the hefty drama of Caroline and when we reached, strangely, everyone’s eyes were staring on the 3 of us and gosh, that was really creepy to see!!!
“Why the heck is everyone looking at us" Mike also found it strange and asked us and we have no idea what was going on.
“Making the history repeat itself Zoe?” Sarah came up to us and taunted Zoe who was confused on why she was asking such bullshits!!!
“What do you mean?” Zoe raised her voice on the accusations made on her and Sarah laughed contemptuously.
“You snatched poor Caroline’s love again. See that audacity" Sarah blamed Zoe for what happened to Caroline and I scoffed mockingly towards it.
“As far as I know, she was the one the one who dumped me before I came to this town. So how did the story twist so much" I couldn’t control my fascination on how rumors spread around and people took it as truth without even knowing the truth. These dumb teenagers!!!
“Look, if you want to live in his high school, I’ll give you a good advice. Stay away from this snatcher and be with us" Sarah shockingly pulled me closer to her and for a moment, I really wished to snap her hands for catching my collar like that.
“Rather I would stay away from bitches like you" I pushed her away and dusted my dress from the curls her hands made and everyone who were watching us began to murmur in shock. Oh yes people, I’m no more a good boy and you hadn’t seen the bad boy yet!!!
“I bet she would be somewhere around here” I looked around to see if Caroline was back but there was not a sight of her.
“Don’t fry your brains for her. Let’s go to class" Mike brought me back to earth and we went to our classes while Zoe went to hers. And who knew leaving her alone for her was the mistake we would regret.
“I just hope Caroline doesn’t end up in Zoe’s class" Mike prayed for that to not occur and I wondered about the connection between Sarah and Caroline.
“Hey, is there any connection between Sarah and Caroline??” Mike was the only man I could ask that and he wasn’t surprised at all by my doubt.
“Duh, Sarah would definitely have a liking towards Caroline if she finds her to be a good chance against Zoe" Mike told me and I found it to be true.
Sarah had always seen Zoe as a weirdo and moreover seeing her make a good friend out of me, who had never looked at Sarah and her gang would have definitely pissed her off and Caroline was the best of all options she could use to degrade Zoe more in front of the school. That meant, I was the sole reason Zoe had to suffer much more and there was no way I could let that happen.
“Till I’m here, no one will ever bitch about Zoe" I promised Mike but there was not at a pinch on brotherly love or care in my tone. It was purely the care and consideration for an innocent friend.
“I hope so. Zoe is a fighter and I wish those girls doesn’t bring out the worst in her" Mike told me and I was surprised to hear that. Who knows whether Zoe was a silent killer behind her innocent face??
In the class, my brains were numb and there was not a single word I understood from the class and when I looked at Mike, he was fast asleep. Bad luck was following me but having me and Noah share the same class. Why was it a fate that we had to be in the same classes and tracks??
I was peacefully attending a class when my phone rang up a notification and as I was in no mood for the class, I dared to check it then itself and what I saw in the high school group shocked me. Someone had just added me and had tagged me into a meme about me, Zoe and Caroline and it accused Zoe of being a slut. Who would ever keep silence on seeing that post??? And that too the one who posted it was an anonymous user who didn’t know that I had already learned to deal with losers like them.
Without making a scene right away, I immediately rang Dash so that he would take his phone. Once he took the call, I hung it up quickly and messaged the meme and the account who posted that.
“Hack it and tell me who it is" I messaged him.
“Give me 5 minute" he instantly replied and by then everyone in my class had got the meme and had begun staring and laughing at me.
My blood was boiling in rage when Noah showed no shame in sharing that meme throughout the high school and it bombarded hell lots of reactions and comments on the post in just the 5 minutes I had given to Dash and as usual he never failed me.
“Dude, its Caroline" he messaged me with the accounts creator details and it wasn’t at all a surprise for me to see her name.
Her arrival itself was a shock and after knowing her real face, all these things were more sympathetic shits I felt towards her helplessness than shocks. Once I got the confrontation, I didn’t wait anymore and stormed out of the class to Zoe and Caroline’s class. Mike had woken up from his sleep and saw the meme, he was enraged like me but after seeing me react like that, he didn’t step back and joined me leaving the teacher stunned by our rebellious actions.
Upon reaching her class, even from the outside I could hear the students laughing at the meme and there was no teacher in the class. Seeing me bash into the class like a rowdy, everyone went pin drop silent and I directly went to Caroline who was feared seeing my heartless avatar she had never seen.
“How dare you cross your limits?? Do you want me to prove who’s the real slut" I pulled her to the back and strongly held her arms hurting her and her heart beats rose due to fear.
“What are you talking about? I didn’t do anything" Caroline tried to defend herself but I was in no mood to take her shits.
I took my phone from my pocket and showed me what Dash had send me and she was dumbstruck on being caught red-handed.
“How much more will you stoop Caroline??” I again banged her to the walls and asked her viciously and Mike came ahead to stop me from hurting her.
“Leave her Zack. You don’t have to be her" he tried to back me off and still I was not done terrorizing her.
“Dare to do such stupidity one more time and you’re dead and you know that I’m not the good boy you once knew now" I gave her a darn warning ferociously and she nodded half crying.
Mike pulled me back and there was no sign of Zoe in the class and a girl told us that she had ran out of the class after she saw the meme. We both were worried about her state and had no idea what to do or where to find her.
“Do one thing, you go to the lighthouse, I’ll go to the treehouse. That’s her main hide outs" Mike suggested places to find her and we bunked the school not caring about the consequences and went to find her.
Mike drove to the lighthouse and as the treehouse was in a walkable distance, he ran that way and I hurried up to the lighthouse.
At first, I didn’t see her there and was about to call Mike but then suddenly, she popped up from behind me and smiled at me. All I did was to hug her tightly freezing her with blankness and I was really ashamed of myself that it was oy because of me that she had to face such humiliations.
“You had me worried to death" I hugged her tightly to which she didn’t respond and when she woke up from her frozen state, she calmed me down.
“Hey, I’m fine. It was nothing to do with you" she soothed me down from my shock and I freed her from my hands to call Mike and tell him I had found her.
I know this was just a sample of what all Caroline was about to do to our lives and who would have imagined that she would stoop to any level to get her revenge????
