Chapter Alpha Blake and Seleste

AN: Yiu know, I never imagined that age 50 would be the age that we start losing people in our inner circle. As of yesterday, we have lost 5 people in our inner circle, two in our immediate family in the last 6 months. I know that the Most High does not make any mistakes, so I'm still holding on and trying to move forward. I asked that you all be a little more patient with me and we will make it to the end of this book together. *****

I can’t believe it is morning already. Yesterday was pretty eventful. After I was rescued, we met with everyone remotely. Alpha Clark had to leave the meeting to deal with his pack. They figured out the traitor. It turns out her name is Tracey. I don’t know where Jenay came from. Maybe that was the alias she used with the rebels. I need to mention the name Tamaska heard to Rose just in case there is another traitor. I sent Rose a quick text just telling her that Tamaska heard that the traitor’s name was Jenay instead of Tracey. After a couple of minutes, Rose texted back and said that Tracey’s cousin said that Tracey often goes by Jenay when she is away from the pack. Okay. I’m glad that is settled. I would hate to think Rose and Garnett would be dealing with multiple traitors. Although I know Rose can handle anything those she-devils throw at her and Garnett will back her up one hundred percent.

Councilman Bari let us know that the video surveillance of the council house did not reveal the actual council member but gave them clues to the identity of the person. They saw family members of one of the council members. The grandson of a mid-level councilman was seen at the house meeting with other rebels and discussing attack plans. After I was rescued, they all quickly left the area. The council member’s grandson actually called the council member when he was leaving the area, but they were not able to listen in on the call. It’s pretty fair to assume the member is involved, but we need to get concrete evidence against him. Councilman Bari advised everyone to get some rest and be ready to meet up tomorrow evening after Alpha Clark and Rose have handled the traitor at their pack.

After being dismissed, Alpha Blake and I spent a little time with my father and video chatted with my mother. My mom told him that he better take good care of him or she will personally come to see him. I told him that my mom was serious, and she was deadlier than my dad. He just smiled and told my mom that he will always take care of me. My mom seemed satisfied that I was in good hands. Jarvis and I stepped out of the conference room, so my mom and dad could have some alone time. They do not spend a lot of time apart. When my dad traveled for the pack, we usually went with him as a family unless it was a mission. He would keep his time away to a minimum.

Alpha Blake and I made plans to visit my pack when things settle down. I want Jarvis to meet the rest of my family and I want to introduce him as my mate to the ones that he already knows, such as the royal gamma.

One of the first things we did after things settled down was talk and get to know each other. I found out that his first name is Jarvis. I’m glad that I can now call my mate something other than Alpha Blake. He accepted me without question. I really believe that Jarvis is the perfect mate for me. I don’t think that Trevor and I would have made such a great team. I think Jarvis understands the role of the protector better and since he is already a protector champion, his pack is structured to function and thrive when he travels. He has an awesome beta who runs the pack when he is away and supports the mission of the protector completely. He has the best trained warriors in the kingdom, well after my warriors anyway. Many of them are already part of the protector force. I met several of them during my rescue. They were excited when they found out that I am their future Luna. This pack will accept me and my role as protector and not expect me to be a traditional luna. My old pack would support me being protector as a gamma, but they had different expectations for their Luna. I know the elite 12 would back me, but the pack members would want me to be present more and in this current time, that would not be possible. I do understand that the rejection from Trevor was necessary to get both of us where we needed to be. Lacey is perfect for Trevor and our pact. She is beta-born, so she can step directly into her role and she has the spirit to be the heart of our pack. Enough of Trevor and Lacey, let me focus on my amazing mate. I swear he is the most handsome man I have ever seen. He has the look of Jason Momoa, the swagger of Denzel Washington, and the body of The Rock. Yes, he is the perfect specimen of a man. Not only is he handsome, but he is dependable, honest, loving and everything a shewolf could want in a mate. I am so grateful to the moon goddess for him.

“Tell me more about yourself mate,” Jarvis said.

“I think you know mostly everything about me. I have spent my life training and preparing to be the protector. I have literally been training since I was able to walk. Outside of training, I spent a lot of time with my friends. I know Talia and the twins told you about our circle of 10 friends. We were all born within days of each other.” I say

“Ok, what’s your favorite color?” Jarvis asked. I guess we are doing the twenty questions thin now. He’s so cute.

“Blue,” I answer. “Yours”

“Blue as well. Mostly Navy.” Jarvis Answered. “What’s your favorite food”

“I love all food. I sometimes have a favorite of the week, but it changes when I taste something else amazing. I blame my mom for being such a great cook.” I say with a smile.

“I can’t wait to taste your mom’s cooking,” Jarvis said.

“What do you enjoy doing besides being the alpha?” I asked.

“Like you, I spent most of my time training to be alpha, then being alpha and working with the council like my dad did before he retired. That reminds me, I need to call him and my mom. I know they have heard the news by now.” Jarvis said.

We continued talking for a while, then decided to let our wolves run and hang out for a while. Both Tamaska and Onyx needed time together. For Onyx, he never thought he would get a second chance and Tamaska knew he was out there but did not know how long it would take me to be ready for our second chance mate. It’s a good thing the moon goddess moved things along or I probably would have still been waiting.

After letting our wolves spend quality time together, Jarvis and I returned to his beach house and spend a lot of quiet quality time with each other. Before retiring for the night, I sent text messages to Rose, Talia, Lacey, Francis, and Mona and let them know how well things are going and letting them know that the rest of the night will be dedicated to my mate, so I will not be answering my phone. They all had a good time teasing me, but since they are all newly mated, they completely understood. Let’s just say, the night ended on a magical note. One I will never forget and one that I am so thankful that I waited for. It was pure perfection. My mate is so awesome. And since he fell asleep holding me close to him, his night was equally amazing. I am so excited about our future together.
